I was looking yesterday at the new promotion for late summer. It's a super sweet deal and I want to book for a 1 Bedroom Villa at the Bay Lake Tower. But today when I went to go look, 1 Bedroom Villa wasn't a choice anymore.

If I book the room paying full price and then call Disney and give them the code that goes with this promotion, would they change my reservation to give me the discount?

HELP ME PLEASE!!!! :worship: :scared1:

Sorry but I would rather doubt it, they only have so many rooms they offer at the discounted price and I would believe that if they went that fast they do not have a need to discount any more of them.

Just my thoughts

I understand that but a few days before the discount went out the public, there was a code floating around and people were able to convert their reservations to what the code allowed. None of the people said anything about their room type not being a discounted one.

I'm confused and sad!!! :sad1:

There were reports of people using the codes early, but that's not really relevant to what your situation is, other than it might have made the available discount rooms run out a little bit sooner.

If they decided that 100 rooms would be available for those discounts at a particular resort, and all 100 have been booked with the discount (whether booked w/the code early or when it was supposed to be released), they're not going to make it 101 rooms to let you use the code.

People weren't "converting" their rooms from non-discounted to discounted, they were just calling to apply a code which made their already booked room one of the 100 (my made up #) that was available for the discount. KWIM? It sounds the same, but it's not (don't think I'm expressing myself well today). Just the point that there will never be more rooms w/a discount than Disney decided in advance to make available for the discount.

I totally understand now!!! Thanks vicki_c! Still sad, but I'll live.

If you can change your dates a little, sometimes rooms become available. Like check in a day earlier or later and see what happens.

I did and the room type was available. I booked it right then and there!!! Thanks for the tips/advice everybody.

That's great! I wish the reservation system would do that rather than be so literal. Like tell me - "Nothing available with those dates, but here's dates that could work for you"

Have a great trip!

Yes, something similar to some of the hotel sites I have seen. You plug in the dates and the calendar comes up and shows you what's available for the entire month! This way, you can adjust a few days to get the reservation.

I was just saying the same thing to my Mom yesterday. It would save so much time!!
