Oh me, oh my! Are we really going to WDW in.....JULY!?! UPDATES TODAY 07/19 pg 30!!

You would be in peril of walking to the other side of Africa that's for sure, I think I counted something like 460 steps to our villa when we stayed there....
It was unbelievable!

HAPPY 100 DAYS!!!!!! As far as Disney snacks, if Megan likes cheese, Walmart sells Mickey shaped cheese chunks in the cheese section. I wish my DD liked cheese, because we would be eating that before our trip. Walmart used to sell Mickey Mouse dried fruit too, but I haven't seen it in a while.

what Walmart are you shopping at?? Mine doesn't have anything like that at all. :confused3

In Toledo, OH. The cheese is by Sargento, I think... I just saw it the other day, hanging up by where they sell the string cheese. And I haven't seen the dried fruit in a long time. It's too bad because I really like the apples.

Our main grocery store down here---Kroger's---used to sell all sorts of Disney themed items: Mickey-shaped cheese, Mickey sliced apples, grapes, yogurt, etc. We used to get that stuff all the time! I haven't seen it lately---miss it so much!

Don't you hate it when you can't find something at yours that others carry! Why can't they all just carry the same thing?!?!?!

WE NEED MORE MICKEY FOOD! WE NEED MORE MICKEY FOOD!!!

I saw several Mickey items maybe within the last year, but I don't see them now, or I just don't notice. I got the sliced apples once. Totally just like any other sliced apples - only more expensive. I read/heard that the Mickey burger patties, I think it was, were not very good, but I never tried them myself.

We do need more good Mickey food. :thumbsup2

Happy counting!!! :dance3:

Hope everything is going well with you all! With the end of school in sight I hope that your days are just flying by. We're at 60 days till Disney today and I'm so excited!:cool1: Evan is starting to be able to Mickey, although it sounds more like Nitney. Did you make a decision on the Jambo House/Kidani room yet?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Just wanted to say hey and congrats on the trip getting closer and closer! If you are like me the end of the school year is flying and you will be seeing the mouse before you know it! Where did you get your Disney C.D.? Did you pick it up on your last trip? Happy planning!:cool1:

Thanks sweetie! Things have been rough....more on that in a bit...but the days surely have been flying by because of it! Congrats on the 60 days, but I know now you must be doing some 50's dancing!!!! YAHOO! How cute the way he says Mickey---capture it on video at some point....those cute words eventually grow into the real thing, and then you kind of miss the cute way they said it! :goodvibes

Still no decision on Jambo and Kidani....I put a pause on that discussion because life reared its' ugly head, but must make a decision on that SOON!

I feel like as happy as I am to get the school year finished, I feel like I could have used just one more week to get everything done the way I wanted. I feel a little rushed right now!

We have so many...some that we have gotten at the parks (Wishes), and others that Tom has burned off of the MANY old Disney records we had as children. We have quite the collection! We also have just about every soundtrack from most of the animated movies that we have accumulated over the years. There are not many Disney songs we don't have! We LOVE popping them in, and letting them transport us to our favorite places in the park. If there ever is something in particular you are looking for, let me know...I just might have it and can get it to you! :thumbsup2

Mini-Update:

First of all, I am so sorry that it has been SO long since I have checked in gang! Life has definitely reared its' ugly head lately, and the trip, our plans, DISing, everything has had to take a very abrupt backseat to it. Not long after I was on the last time, I was woken by a 6am phone call telling me that our beloved Aunt Debbie was being rushed to the hospital because she was not breathing or responding to anything. To make a long story short, that night she passed away after being taken off life support when it was determined that a brain aneurysm rendered her brain dead. It was a deep shock to our entire family---Debbie had only just turned 56, and she was a VERY young, vibrant, HEALTHY 56 year-old woman. Obviously, it was completely unforeseen and unexpected by anyone. Debbie was Tom's Aunt, and Tom, Megan, and I are EXTREMELY close to her husband Ken and her. I could easily say that I was closer to her than I was my own mother-in-law. She was an amazing woman, wonderful mother, and redefined the word "Aunt" for all of us. It has devastated us all---especially Megan, since this was the first person she ever KNEW that she has lost. GREAT Aunt Debbie was SO good to Megan--always sending her Snow White and Tinkerbelle gifts because she knew how much she loved them! She passed away on the 15th, but we were unable to do her funeral until last week because we had to wait through Holy Week. Needless to say, we have been so busy with family things---trying to help Uncle Ken and her kids through this, do all the Easter stuff, Spring Break arrangements, and the funeral.

I can't make a full update right now, but do hope to come back on here later today--probably tomorrow--to update you on all parts of the trip, some fun things that have gone on in between the tears, etc.

I just wanted to check in, say "hey," and let you know that more is on its' way!!!!

Stay tuned!

Way too young :sad1:

Very sorry for your loss

I am SO sorry for your family's loss :grouphug: Hugs for all of you. I lost my Grandma when I was about Megan's and I remember how sad it was and how hard it was to understand.

Yes, we are doing some 50's dancing here and what seems like almost last minute ADR planning. We weren't planning on going to a park this time since it's a brief stay at the World, but my dad surprised us all by saying he wants to take Evan back to the Magic Kingdom and wanted to try a meal at the Crystal Palace! (we went in December when Evan was just a year and he thought we were just wasting our time and money, that he wouldn't get anything out of it, was pretty much a big party pooper!)

Sorry to hear of your family's heartache. Every day with those we love is so very precious.

Sorry Hon about your loss

3 of my 4 grandparents passed away during Holy week and our family always considered that a nice sign.

We'll be here for more when you have time!

Oh Jen I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt!!! Your entire family will be in my prayers!!!!! I'm so sorry for your loss!

Oh Jen, so sorry about the loss of your Aunt Debbie...
Those kind of goodbyes are never easy.:sad2:
I'll be thinking of you and your family...
