Not another one, I'm due to arrive at SSR on Saturday morning! And those poor people there have been through enough. I was there during the 25th WDW Birthday Celebration and we had a hurricane come through, but it really wasn't that bad, a few balloons on the frosting cake Cinderella Castle had to be replaced, I guess the coolest part of that was seeing a huge crane in the middle of Main Street. God willing it will take another course!

I'm just so darn depressed about this. I was just listening to The Weather Channel, and the hurricane dude was saying that even if Jeanne curls eastward and stays out to sea, southeast Florida would still be pounded by waves up to 30 feet.

floridafam, I am not scheduled to arrive until October 24th. I just want to make sure I have a backup plan in place in case the resort is closed for further repair.

You have got to be kidding me! I haven't been watching the news this week, very out of the loop. (Got a new gig as a sub at my youngest's preschool AND we got new floors put in the house - MESS!)

We're supposed to arrive Sunday for our first trip..... My husband is now saying he doesn't want to drive through a hurricane.... Anybody have some good advice? MS is only open tomorrow - we could try to push our trip ahead by two days and get there Tuesday instead. That's if there are any rooms available! Ug - I thought we were in the clear. Those poor people in FL. We still have a bit of a mess from Ivan - but nothing like what they got.

My 18-year-old son is flying into Boston from Miami tonight and is driving my car (now his car) back to school this weekend. He's leaving early Saturday and is hoping to be back in Miami by Sunday night. Great timing.

Now I know that no one (in their right mind at least ) would want to have the same name as a tropical storm or especially a hurricane and have that storm do harm to people or property, but I am here to tell you, I really DON"T like it at all!!!! So, I am praying about Jeanne and LISA so they both go out in open water and away from land!!!!

The Caribbean and the US have really had enough this year already! I feel sorry for you too FloridaFam, moving to Vero Beach at this time. It must have taken some of the excitement down a notch! I will be glad when this hurricane season is over!
