Awesome TR! Reading this is making me sooo excited for F&W this year! Hope I can pull it off as well as you did!

Oh, I'm jealous that you are going to F&W this year!

All you need to do is carve out enough time to just wander around World Showcase and enjoy the booths. I suggest a minimum of two 1/2 days.

Oh... well, I feel dumb now.

Oh I love Epcot days. I could read about everyone's Epcot days 24/7.
That's crazy that France was out of your Nuvo wine again. How does one run out of wine at a wine festival?
Loved the food reviews as always. And the drink tally!
I love seeing the foods from all the different countries, so interesting (even if I wouldn't eat them!)
I don't like beer or salmon and I'm not even a huge fan of maple. What kind of Canadian am I?? Oh well, at least I like hockey.
I have to remember to eat at the Boulangerie Patisserie this year. Even if it's just for a Napoleon. (But that quiche looks awesome... *drooling here*)

I know, I couldn't believe they were out of it again. I was so sad.

You know, that would be like me saying I'm a Chicagoan, but if I didn't like pizza or hot dogs (which I like both of them).

Everything at the patisserie is so yummy. It's all worth it.

Oh wow, Chris has A LOT of guts to go up against you on the whole which place does the monorail go FIRST and I'm amazed at those people who actually believed him! Your brother must have extremely persuasive super powers. I've probably been to WDW less than both of you and I know that the loop goes Contemporary-Polynesian-Grand Floridian-Magic Kingdom and back around. I usually could empathize with this one since my two sisters and I are the same way (but over half your age), but everyone knows not to go against the DisFreak in my household

Good thing you did settle it out in time for THE TIKI ROOM! Seriously, that thing alone could bring me back to WDW in a second I want to go see it SOOO bad! I've had an obsession with the original since before Iago caught fire and now everyone's been seeing it. You all are just taunting me right now. Well, guess who is going to see TWO, I repeat TWO broadway shows next month?! That's right, eat it! ... Okay, maybe not, but I love seeing all the pictures of it. Tiki Room and I will be united soon Still couldn't believe how that lady acted though. Patience is a virtue people!

Continuing my catch-up!

to AM EMH at Animal Kingdom! I would so love one day to just be able to walk on over to Expedition Everest with such peace of mind. I need to get to these EMHs one of these days! And I totally agree about Primeval Whirl, it is enjoyable (at times), but it's so extremely jerky and NO PADDING! Seriously, if they were to refurb it, PADDING IS NECESSARY! But at least the old men made it okay, but I'm sure if they went on before... probably not so much. Another big to DINOSAUR! Love that ride no matter how terrified I may or may not get whilst riding it. Yes, I'm a wimp... DON'T JUDGE!

Wolfgang Puck, again?! I see a recurring theme/obsession here hehe But the food does look good, I gotta admit again! I will definitely have to test out the dish Chris got, looks nice and sweet (sweet's my thing). As if planning or reserving a trip can't come any faster...

The Food & Wine Festival would be a great pair here But anyways, to riding Living with the Land, getting some FPs for Soarin' and actually going counterclockwise World Showcase style, always wanted to try that

Mmmmm... again to the F&WF, everything looks so good! I'll definitely have to stake out some of these booths like the Canadian one, the Belgian one, the Irish one, the Italian one... how about all of them now? The food just looks delicious and I have been so severely deprived of Belgian waffles, it is unhealthy. Need some Belgian waffles NOW!

to Soarin' (a la loop de loop, might I add) and some last minute appetizers at the Patisserie! I will have to make a note of that Napoleon along with every booth at the F&WF So sad to know this is your last day though... well, at least you had a really productive last full day!

That's okay, everyone has to play catch up sometimes. I've had to do that many times myself.

The carrot cake cookie is epically good. So so yummy. Chris is just a little bit of a weirdo.

You don't have to hide from me for not going to WPE before. It's actually in a really kind of hidden place at DTD and it could be easy to miss if you didn't know it was there. However, clearly I know it's there, which is why I go so much.

I don't know if Chris has freaky power of persuasion. It was more that those people were completely clueless.

Two broadway shows are very exciting. I'm super jealous. I have actually never been to New York before, so I'm excited to hear about it.

Morning EMH are definitely a must do at AK. You can get so much accomplished in such a short period of time. It's worth getting up early for.

You're so right, they need padding on that ride! I mean, you get tossed around so much. I used to be terrified on Dinosaur too, and would never look the Dino in the face. Then I just said "ha! I laugh in your face!"

F&W is such fun. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, it's my absolute favorite time to go. Everything is so yummy. I normally go with the goal of eating something from each booth. However, that takes a lot of effort. Listen, if you need some Belgian waffles, I could just have my mom whip some up and I'll mail them to you.

Last Day in the World – Saturday November 12, 2011

The last day is always so sad, isn’t it? I always consider them to be a little bittersweet. Happy to go home and see my family and my furbabies, but sad to be leaving the best place EVER!

We wanted to get to DHS for morning magic hours, so I got up at 6:30am. We had gotten the majority of our stuff packed the night before, so there wasn’t too much to worry about in the morning. However, we didn’t make it out when we wanted. For some reason, Chris’ phone didn’t charge through the night, and his charger just wasn’t working. We used mine, and it worked fine, so we had to wait a little while to let it charge enough. Chris texted Sara to let her know that his phone would be off for the majority of the day though, in case she needed him. Good thing we’re Apple families and we all have the same phone.

We made it out the door at about 8:10am, so not horrible. We still got decent parking at DHS though and made it through the gates in no time. BUT, they were letting EVERYONE in the park. Not checking anyone’s key cards! Um, wait, it’s EMH. I double checked, and yup, it was supposed to be EMH. Where did the letting everyone in come from?!

Not the end of the world though. There weren’t that many people in the park. Our first mission was to get fastpasses for TSM. We got a return time of 12:15pm, which was perfect.

Fastpasses in hand, we headed to Fairfax Fare for breakfast, because my stomach was starting to eat itself from the inside out.

Those sausage, egg, and cheese muffins are so great. I love them…..

Oh, and I couldn’t resist.

After our tasty breakfast, we headed back to Star Tours. Only a 10 minute wait this time.

Chris was not the rebel spy this time. Apparently he was Boba Fett….

And, we got the same ride as the first time we went on. Doh!!! We wanted something different. So we decided to go on again.

On the way out of the shop, I saw that they had Star Wars Vinylmations!!! I thought they had sold out, I hadn’t been able to find them since our February trip, but lo and behold, here they were! I was trying to get all of them, but hadn’t managed to be able to. Before, I had discovered a trick to finding out which ones you had. However, Disney discovered that, and removed the system from the box. Argh. That’s okay. I just told the CM to give me two boxes. We talked about Star Wars for a while, and he said he had the whole collection. I told Chris I would buy him one. I gave Chris one and had mine in hand. I kept telling the CM that all I wanted was Darth Vader. So, I open my box…..Princess Leia. Wah wah. I already had her.

So, Chris opens his box…..you know where this is going right?.....

DARTH VADER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so epically bummed out! I think I cried a little.

Until the CM pointedly looks at Chris and says “you know, she bought it for you, you should give it to her”.

I heart you CM!

Chris begrudgingly gave it to me, even though I don’t think he really wanted to. But, me being the nice sister I am, I bought Chris another one. He ended up getting Chewbacca, which was pretty decent.

So, after the Vinylmation incident, we headed back on Star Tours. And…..we get the same ride AGAIN!

I gave up. I wasn’t going to go on it a third time in hopes of getting a different ride. Apparently the randomizer didn’t work on us.

After that, we headed to…

To secure some fastpasses, just in case we wanted to use them later.

After that, we headed to ToT.

The wait time was posted at 40 minutes, but we waited about 20. Chris wanted to leave when he saw the 40 minute wait time, but I convinced him that it wasn’t accurate.

After that, I told Chris I wanted to go to the Great Movie Ride, because my ankle was hurting and I wanted to rest it. No matter what shoes I wore, my feet had been hurting for the last few days. Actually, on our last day, I mucked up my ankle so bad that it hurt for about a month after.

We did NOT get the cowboy. I never get the cowboy. I swear, next time, I’m going to ask for that scene and see if I get it.

We headed over to Pixar Place, but still had a little bit of time before the return time for our fastpasses, so I secured myself a treat.

Yummy! I only allow myself to have that in WDW.

Chris wandered around One Man’s Dream while I drank it, so he could take pictures.

Soon, it was time for us to go on the ride.

Chris’ score was a sad state of affairs. Mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa..

Honestly though, what helped that time is the fact that for some reason my trigger was super sensitive. I didn’t have to do much to get it to shoot. I want to remember that car forever….

After this, Chris said that he didn’t want to use the fastpasses for Rockin’ Roller Coaster, he wanted to head to Downtown Disney to pick up stuff for Riley. I had a bad feeling about this. Chris was convinced he would have the room for all this stuff. I was convinced he wouldn’t and I didn’t have any room, as I only brought a carryon as well. I knew it would end badly.

We headed downtown and decided we wanted to get a late lunch at Earl of Sandwich. Oh my lanta, the line was soooo long. Longer than I’ve ever seen it before. We didn’t want to wait, so we headed…..wait for it…..wait for it…..

Wolfgang Puck Express.

Now, this was not planned. We wanted EoS, but just couldn’t justify waiting.

WPE count – 4 times.

I got.

Chicken fingers. They were meh. Not the greatest, I have to say. But my cheesecake made up for it.

Chris got a meatball sub and said it was very good. While Chris was getting our food, I called AirTran and managed to get upgraded to business class for the return flight. Woo hoo!

We stopped at Goofy’s Candy Company for some treats.

Much as I wanted to take that home with me, I didn’t. Honestly, I don’t even remember what I got. Clearly I didn’t take note of it, but it was candy, so it must have been good.

We went to World of Disney and did our shopping. Guess who bought too much to fit in the bag?

If you guessed me, you would be wrong.

Chris did. Yup. So we had a conundrum. I decided then to buy the duffel bag that’s the purchase with purchase. Later, when I got to the car, we put a bunch of clothes in it, and used that as checked baggage.

I also bought this for my dad.

He’s Grumpy, he golfs. But he doesn’t break clubs. That’s my brother Jason. Haha.

I bought myself this. It was so cute, I couldn’t resist.

I love it!

It was time for us to leave, even though I didn’t want to. We were flying out of Tampa instead of Orlando, so we needed enough time to get there. The drive was good, only about an hour and fifteen minutes. Dropping off the car was easy peasy. The airport is really pretty, I have to say. I liked it very much. The only thing I didn’t love is that we had a stop over in Atlanta, which I wasn’t looking forward to. I normally only book directs, but this flight being so last minute, it was the only option.

Both flights (stopover included), were uneventful. But, man, the trek from the one gate to the next in Atlanta was brutal. Like, we had to go underground, through tunnels, up and around, it was ridiculous.

I slept a little on the way home, and Chris was in love with the whole business class, drink what you will thing. I told him to just drink away. LOL.

Mom and Dad picked us up at the airport, and sadly the trip was over. We had some ups and downs, but mostly ups. I’m glad you’ve all followed around, and I’ll be ending the TR with a recap / thoughts of the trip.

We still haven't figured out what happened with the charger, because the charger was working fine up until that point. Who knows. Just a wonky thing I guess.

Both of my brothers are horrible shoppers. Like, I'm a professional. I know how to wander around enough, but I'm also decisive. The two of them? Oh jeez, they just take forever, can't make decisions. They're worse than women.

Glad to hear you had a safe ride home even if you didn't like running through Atlanta to get to your connecting flight, but at least your trip was a positive one at most for y'all!

What made running through Atlanta so bad was the fact that my ankle was throbbing so much at that point that I basically felt like I ruined my foot.

I agree that "last days" are the pits. We just experienced it yesterday. Sometimes the transition back to reality is just too harsh.
