Official Wine and Dine 2016 thread

Woke up and my knee didn't give out so that's a plus. It feels about 50% normal. I'm wondering if it's a virus of sorts so it can just see it's way out now. Today was planned off day and I'll see in the morning how it is to hopefully get in a run otherwise I have just Monday to run before leaving.

Hope everyone's last runs go well. Nothing crazy now! So close!

My Outfits are: If you see my say HI!!!
5k - Disney Christmas comics on a white tank and red skort with mickey Christmas hair clip
10k - purple eggplant man from Kitchen Kabaret, says Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit on back
Half - Tapestry of Nations (old parade at EPCOT for the millennium celebration. Teal tank & grey/white skort & blue/orange/yellow hair clip

I panicked when my IT bands flared up a few weeks back - but, I have come to the conclusion it was because I was still not 100% after being sick the week before. My muscles were just much weaker from it and that put too much stress on the IT. I haven't had the issue since! So, it could be related! Hope you get back on track tomorrow! Just don't push it too much

Still no party ticket for me. Hubby's arrived yesterday, so I'm a bit nervous that mine has gotten lost. Has anyone gotten confirmation from RD that they will have the ability to "make it right" at the expo? This whole mess with mailed party tickets and emailed gift cards was really not well thought out IMO.

Fyi for everyone - For race entry attached gift cards and tickets see runner relations, for issues with spectator party tickets see the welcome center. The welcome center usually handles the online ticket store purchases, but will not have runner info, and vice versa, so probably cannot pull up race entry info and of course our goodies!

My wife's party ticket arrived on Friday and mine on Saturday. I can't imagine that they got all of them sent out on the same day so we shouldn't expect all to arrive on the same day.

Using packing cubes for the first time this trip, mostly so I can pack a bunch of stuff today without actually using my suitcase until the day I leave. I often take my dog when I go on trips and when I don't I have to pack as last minute as possible so he doesn't get excited about going. I always feel bad when I leave him behind but he'll be with my mom and her dog so he'll be spoiled and happy.

Thanks for this info! I'll make sure to go to runner relations about the gc. Hopefully it's not a huge issue.

Ahh, I can't believe it's this week! We leave super early Thursday morning (not even going to say bright and early because it won't be bright yet, it will still be dark. Haha). I'm getting so anxious/excited/nervous! Plan is to hit the expo right away on Thursday after we arrive so it's out of the way and Friday can be spent at Epcot for Food and Wine!

I've got my gift card transferred to last year's so that's all set. I still have to print my waiver but I don't have a home printer so I'll either have to do it at work or just print it at the expo. I should also probably start packing and getting things ready. I'm not doing costumes for the races but I still have no idea what I'm wearing!

Ran my last challenge-prep double this weekend! 5 miles Saturday, 12 miles Sunday. I did half of my Sunday run, then stopped for about an hour to spectate the Marine Corps Marathon, then ran the rest. I was nice and stiff trying to pick up for the second half of my run but I told myself it was practice for standing in lines for photos during the race! :rotfl:I fly down on Thursday after work. 4 more sleeps!

So many closures for MCM!! We had to run a crazy route to avoid... with too many hills! :-/

I can't remember if I posted this here or not! Does anyone have an after party ticket linked to mde that says "disney wine and dine finish line party T1" ? My runners ticket doesnt have that T1 and it's kinda freaking me out!

Didn't link our tickets so no help on that. I'm sure it's fine though but bring your hard ticket as backup if you are worried.

Did get 6 miles in yesterday and felt mostly okay, my knee is almost normal but I do have a slight cold (which makes me think my knee is virus related)...thanks snotty kid.
Packing day today and I want to go out for a short run.

Good luck everyone & safe travels!

Mine hasn't shown up in the mail, nor is it linked to MDE. I really wasn't planning on waiting in another line at the expo, but since I purposely am staying the extra day simply to attend the party, I will.

What is the difference of having "T1" vs not having one? I linked my tickets last night and my son's, who is the runner doesn't have "T1" but mine, which I bought has to attend the party has "T1".

I didn't know we had to link the ticket until I read about it here. It wan't mentioned in the letter to link the ticket. What is the purpose of linking the tickets? So we can get in through using Magic Band instead of the ticket? Thank you

I am assuming the T1 designation is for tickets that were purchased instead of the tickets that were included with race registration. Disney will most likely use this information when analyzing the party to see how many runners compared to how many non-runners attended. They could use this to alter the ticket price next year, the number of non-runner tickets they sell, the hours of the party or even if the Sunday evening party was profitable compared to the immediately after the race party.

I would imagine the only reason to link your party ticket to your Magic Band would be for ease of entry and so you don't need to worry about finding and carrying your ticket. If you don't link it to a Magic Band, you will still be able to enter as normal. Touch the card to the lit up Mickey head and do the finger print thing, go thru the turn style, probably get a wrist band (to flash to show you should be there like at MNSSHP or MVMCP) and you're in.

I haven't linked mine either, not sure it's necessary. If it'll let us make one fp at 8 I'll link it, but I doubt it would.

Thank you so much. I didn't even think of linking the tickets until I read it here. I guess it doesn't hurt to link it.

Thank you this cleared it up! Looks like T1 just means non-runner tickets since our tickets came out the same as yours.

Makes sense! I had a nightmare that ended with me sad it is a morning race again. So it will be interesting if they are testing the party numbers. Sigh. But let's do this!!

Hi. Could someone please post the email address from which the gift cards were sent? I haven't received mine and I want to do a search in my inbox.

Thanks!

New fun ticket problem - when checking my past tickets I found one under my name saying "Nov 7, 2016 ...christmas party"

Say what? I don't have a MVMCP ticket, let alone one already used up!

Though if Mickey feels like gifting one, I would buy an extra for my cousin...doesnt everybody win then??
