Question: do we know for sure whether they are sending party tix to a) Active account address or b) MDE address?? For my sister's ticket those are not the same and we don't have hers yet. :(

I'm pretty sure they are using Active account address. I'm sure there could be a situation where not every runner has an MDE account, but every runner is entitled to a party ticket. I don't think my husband even has his mailing address filled out in MDE, since I do all our trip planning from my account, and he got his party ticket just fine.

Makes perfect sense -- thanks!!

I agree with @RogueKnits that it's probably the Active account, just because the tickets were part of registration...so only by registering through Active do you actually get a ticket (same for those who aren't running the half but bought a ticket - they had to purchase through Active, not MDE).

I started quoting, watched them go POOF!, gave up... here's a general post re: tickets/gift cards/rD info...

No reason to panic if you don't have party tickets, gift cards, or are confused in general about how things work! Calling simply gets you to some random person working for Disney's call center - what they know about rD matters is limited to what they've been told, what they can see on the rD website, and/or individual interpretation. My advice is that you don't bother calling. Rest assured that though busy and bustling, the rD expos are FAR more organized and knowledgeable. There are actual rD People Who Know Stuff at the expos and will guide you to the appropriate place to take care of business. Page 10 of the Event Guide lists where to find them:

You do not need to link your party ticket in MDE, nor do you have to use a MB: the tickets work on their own for entry. If you prefer to use your MB and/or feel more comfortable having your ticket linked, go for it... but I'd bring that hard ticket with you, just in case.

What else?... Oh, EP being open during the race - no big deal at all! I've been the runner and a park Guest during races there and it's all very clear where you can and cannot be as runner or Guest and traffic is well controlled by CMs, VoluntEars, cones and ropes.

Time between EP closing and the party... we really don't know exactly how this will go. It's possible they could close rides temporarily to clear the park, or they could leave them open and give out wristbands like at MK parties, allowing only those with wristbands into ride queues after 9pm. I would guess that even if they leave rides and food open, the party-specific stuff (DJ, dance parties, whatever else) won't start until 10.

Hope this is helpful! Only 3 days to go...

This is my first time ever staying off-site at Disney (yay for friends that live 10 minutes outside of Disney!). Any advice for driving to the races in the morning?

Leave early. Also, leave early. And... leave early! Leaving early may mean a longer wait in the starting area, but will help you avoid traffic snarls that come as the start time approaches. Sunday is of particular concern to me because this is the first time they're busing us from EP to WWOS for a morning race. In theory, it should go just as smoothly as it did at night, but you never know.

Thanks!! I thought about sitting in the car before the race but I'm pretty sure I would then just fall asleep!

I got the survey, too. Based on the questions the only thing they seem to be figuring out is how many buses to run.

The gap has been there every year with park closing at 9 and party at 10. My spectator friends with party tickets have been there during that hour in years past. I THINK the kiosks were closed for that hour, but the rides kept operating and only people with writstbands could enter the queues.

Was thinking the same thing, but not sure they'll get accurate info. For instance... my sister and I are both running and received this. If we both respond to this email and indicate that we are coming with 4 other family members (my DH, DD, DS), do they count that as a total of 10 people (her form has 5 total, and my form would have 5 total)?? Not a super clear survey for the purposes of a count...

That hour would give the cast members manning the food and wine kiosks a break before the rowdy crazy runner crowd comes to party.
