Got all the fast passes we wanted including frozen and mine train. Now back to sleep because 430 am is too early for a holiday and the gym on a holiday. Run later.

I told brother#2 we are staying the whole after party time, I say that now but I just see myself getting sooooo sleepy so I'll have to plan on loading up a caffeinated pop after the half!
Everyone else planning on the after party? Brother #1 won't be going since he is local and has to work the next day & has scouts with his son Sunday afternoon anyway to get back too.

We're planning on the whole after party. But we're also planning on resting back at the resort after the half. I'm not a very good napper though so we'll see how well that goes...

I'm going solo. I'm planning to go to the after party, but I'm not sure how long I'll stay. I will be taking an afternoon nap for sure!

Ellen's Energy Adventure... If you can't get back for a nap wherever you're staying, head to Energy with something to roll up under your head, a hat to put over your eyes, get in seats at or near the back, and lay down and nap the whole way through. It's perfect.

We are planning on the whole party after an afternoon pedicure and dinner at beaches & cream. We're doing MVMCP Monday so we'll sleep in and visit some resorts before and then Tuesday is our first Universal day, which will be an earlier day because they close at 7. Hopefully we'll make it through our park week after the half.

That's funny because I have fallen asleep on Energy!

We have FPs for MK for midday after the half then we may head back to our resort (Sports) before going to Epcot, we'll play it by ear. A nap won't be planned but could very well happen anywhere at any time for sure (maybe a few loops on the monorail for a good snooze, ha!)!

We did Soarin' one day for our Tier 1 and Frozen on another day. I'm kind of questioning the days I chose, or at least the time for Soarin'. But we are doing dinner at Via Napoli on Saturday night so I made our FP for FEA before that. Figure if we want to do Test Track we can try to squeeze it in at the party. I'm really bummed about RnRc and Big Thunder. I kind of keep hoping that Thunder Mountain will open back up early. Just because it's my favorite!

Noooooo! Not BTMRR! We weren't able to do it last fall, and feel it is superior to 7DMT. It is a favorite; especially the spinning possums!

Our Sunday plans are: nap while doing some laundry, and then hit Epcot starting in the afternoon. Our Epcot plan calls for splitting WS into multiple days, to better sample the offerings. Biergarten around 4pm. I don't know if we'll make it to the party. We still wish it was a night race, as we can get by on adrenaline to one all-nighter, if it involves a post-race party immediately after.

Saturday, you can find us lounging quietly near a pool, and perhaps playing a round of mini-golf.

Catching up, after being away for a week in the Finger Lakes region of NY. Kayaking, Indy Car racing at Watkins Glen International, runs along the lake and among the vineyards, and open water swimming were highlights. The boat lift cable snapping as I lowered Dad's antique Chris Craft ski boat last Monday was a downer, but we are blessed with very helpful neighbors, who came helped me as I tried to fire up the engine and emergently get the boat to the Marina. All those Ski Nautique's, Moomba's, and other ski boats you see around- this is their great-grandfather.

Local HS track this am, for the last run > 5 miles before the Harrisburg 1/2 marathon. About 3.5 miles for DW, with a Magic Mile around 9:30/M pace. I tried to open it up for mile 6, and came in at 7:44 for that one. DW said I "flew by" at the start of the last lap. I can only wonder what it would've been like being next to the track when Max raced by at over 40 mph.

We've got our FP+ made as well. We went with Frozen as our Tier 1 for Epcot since our plan is to go there for opening on Friday and go straight to Soarin'. We weren't able to get a time for Frozen as early as we would have liked, since there are probably people whose window for booking opened before ours, but we got 3:00 pm, so that should still be fine. After Soarin' we'll probably try to meet the Inside Out characters since we missed them on our Spring Break trip (their meet and greet opened literally days after we left). Test Track we'll do single rider if the line isn't too long, but if it is, we don't mind missing it this time. I think our other 2 FP+ for Epcot are Spaceship Earth and Nemo. We went with Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Mine Train for Magic Kingdom, which we'll do on Saturday (also bummed about Thunder Mountain ). I figure that Saturday will be a day to do a few rides at MK, but spend the rest of the time taking it easy with things like shows and the parade since it will be the day before the half. After the half on Sunday we won't be doing a park since as of now, we're planning to fly out that evening (I may switch to a Monday morning flight though so I can do the after party depending on what happens with my job situation in the next few weeks - I really don't want to waste that ticket that I've already paid for). So our plan for Sunday would be to check out and hit Disney Springs for a bit before our Magical Express bus. If I do end up staying until Monday, Disney Springs will still be the plan for the afternoon and then I'll go to the party (I wouldn't pay for another day of a park ticket.)

Just to make sure that I haven't been COMPLETELY asleep at the wheel here... we still don't have course maps, correct?? Any thoughts on when we will? Are we still anticipating an ESPN start and Epcot parking end, or a switch-up?

I'm not expecting any changes to the start or finish locations, only to the course between. IF they have the course certified before publishing the race guide, I'm sure someone will post the link here. Otherwise, I expect to see it in the race guide a week or two before the race.

5K Parking Lot question........
This is the first time I've run a 5k at AK. It looks like part of the course runs the perimeter of the parking lot, at least in years past......with this in mind, does the lot close to self parking a lot sooner than the Epcot 5k's??

I don't recall an exact time, but parking info will be posted with open/closing times. I don't recall it being any earlier relative to start time than EP races.

Some of it, at least! I'll use my AP to enter early and probably won't stay until the party ends, though.

We are planning a 5th birthday trip over or near Halloween 2017 and it's dawned on me that W&D maybe could align.

My GUESS is yes, and then they would have Super Heroes the weekend after...but I wouldn't count on anything until we see somewhat official confirmation of that date.

They changed up the entire weekend with less than 24 hours to go until passholder registration began, so you never know!

I guess that's what I was thinking too...I was just hopeful it had leaked or been announced somewhere. Kind of a fun idea though that maybe it will work out (I'm such an over-planner that anything 'up in the air' gives me hives...but I have tons of time still)

That's a good guess .... when in doubt, book from Halloween through the first weekend in November .... your odds are pretty good!

(Then change your reservations as resolution occurs)

I'd hope they would have next year's dates in this year's event guide, so hopefully you'll get confirmation in about a month!
