HUGE UPDATE:7-31-07​

1)Tales comes to Wii...
Here is the first 2 screen shots ( a litle blurry but it's all I got) of the Tales Series debut on the Wii.

This game is still mroe then a year off...but to get an idea of what it's like...check out the amazing Tales of Symphonia for the nintendo gamecube. (a long-about 70hours- rpg that could be played by 2 players co-op) The gamecube game was a brilliant story with many twist and turns and if the wii version can continue this quality it's a huge win for us gamers.

2)Mario Strikers launches today!
The second game to take use of online play! This however is a much more complete game then Pokemon, allowing you to play games against friends or to link up randomly and play opponents. You can play in ranked and unranked games!

3)Updated Release List!
I will point out the big releases as well as games I expect to be big hits with the kids and with a ** for games I can't wait for.(some of the big ones fit this lst for me)

Games I can already tell you not to even think about putting your money into as they will be bad!

Lastly Games I expect to have thier date moved will be Italicized

Some of these overlap...so I just chose 1 of the colors to use.

So all the ones DS wants come out in Nov/Dec...it figures...guess it may be a video game Christmas for him!

ON our list so far:

DDR for DD15...She was really uninterested in the Mario version for the gamecube..we bought it but she rarely plays. I hope this new one is more like the "real" DDR.

Super Smash Bros for DS12(He's been talking about it for a year, can't wait! I must say, this is the game with the greatest "replay value" in our home...It gets played more than any other)

I would put Rayman2 on there because DS LOVED the first one...but we own it and he rarely goes back and plays anymore so I don't know if he's interested in the next one. He may want LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga as he loved the game cube versions of this game. We'll see. Super Smash Brothers is definitely top of the list.

I haven't read the whole thead yet but does anyone know if you can hook up Donkey Konga to a Wii? I'm trying to decide if we can hand down our GameCube to a younger cousin.

you should be able to! Cause with the game controller slots at the top and the memory card it should work fine!

Another question, if we want to play GC and VC games, the classic controller won't work for GC but the GC controllers will work for VC games so we're better off getting Wavebirds if we can find them to stay wireless? Did I get that right?

It's been answered, but YES you can hook up the Bongos. You can also still use the Dance Pad for DDR Mario if you need to.

Yes, you have it right. I do believe that there might be a few VC games that ONLY use the Classic Controller. Before you download a game, it will tell you what controller you can use. I'm sure www.ign.com has that info too, if you just search for a game title.

All things I have read state that it is a "real" ddr game and SO MUCH MORE...it's set to include singing and hand movments as well as useing the dance pad to up the dificulty level. If I get a Chance I'll try to find you some more info.

I think I am going to pre-order the DDR game for a Christmas present. However, when I go to amazon.com there are two...a bundle for $69 and (I'm guessing) just the game for $49. Does the bundle come with the dance mat? Is that the difference?

yeah the bundle is with the dance mat(which you of course need!)
supposedly if you have the mario pad it will work just fine, but for just a few bucks more you could have a second mat and be able to play multiplayer.

No, havn't had it happen at all.... Does it do it all the time or just sometimes?

You should be able to take it back where you got it and exchange it for the same game with no problem. It does happen that soemtimes Disc's get pressed badly and have problems like this.

It's a great game...hope you get to finish it soon.

Well it's out of the return period with Buy.com but I've spoken to Capcom and they will exchange if they replicate the problem. I may go to Blockbuster and see if it's my disc or sadly, the Wii.

If you have another game just try it in the system. If not renting a game sounds like a good idea to test it with...to me it sounds like a bad disc.

Does anyone out there have problems with their game cube memory card in their wii?

Our memory card worked great in the game cube, but it is very moody in the wii, most of the time it doesn't work. (I don't know what I did to get it to work the hand full of times it did work).

It is a generic memory card, if that makes a difference. I would hate to think that was the problem though.

we never once had a problem with it in the gamecube, but have had problems with it in the wii, since we've had the wii (christmas 2006). Anyone else have this problem?
