Official thread for The Bachelor

im watching now since i was on a cruise last week---that oncologist is psycho!!

i like the first girl out of the limo..and the one thats a kindergarten teacher..

Maybe it is editing and we are supposed to feel this way...but I can't stand Moana. I also thought the two girls he gave the roses to who interrupted his time with the birthday girl were very rude. He didn't seem to care for their interruption either.

My faves are still the teacher from Nashville and the girl he gave a cake for her birthday.

I know he said he thought the 23 year old student was cute when she persistently tried to kiss him. I found her annoying. What did you all think?

I think he's going to end up with Susan (the birthday girl). I think she's the most beautiful (although she's got some stiff competition) and has an aura of class. I thought the girls who interrupted their birthday celebration were pretty rude, too. And the girl who wanted a kiss was definitely not getting what he was trying to tell her (although he didn't seem to mind). She kinda got on my nerves, though! I'm really looking forward to spending some time in France (via the show, anyway!) I actually spent my 15th wedding anniversary in Paris (our two little rug-rats kinda put a damper on the romance, but hey, it was still Paris!)

I did not watch last season - I was so irritated after Jen on the bachelorette that I couldn't watch!!

I think I really like Sara from Nashville and Susan - I think that maybe he sees Sara from Nashville more as a buddy

I could not believe those girls went in and interrupted the birthday party with Susan - that was just rude and I really think they ruined their chances with him

my feeling on the girl who wanted to kiss him is that it is really only physical feelings - if he is SO into her why didn't he give her the rose on the date? She seems really possesive to me - like after the rose ceremony did you see her intertwine her fingers in his and stand right next to him - like she was marking her territory and she said something to him about giving another girl a birthday cake - I know she was joking but it was still odd to me

I get annoyed with the girls who cry about having to share him - um isn't that the premise of the show - they knew this upfront!!

I have to say though, that I am constantly amazed at how ABC can find the most psycho unstable women in the country! They were cracking me up! Didn't one of the girls actually use the phrase "my eggs are rotting away!" :rotfl2:

Just reading this again has me ROFL!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Moana bugs me, too - seems like this is more of a 'game' to her. It's like she's trying to act like she doesn't care and like she doesn't want/need attention, yet that's exactly what she's trying to get by the way she is acting and trying to be different/stand out. Did you see her smirk last night when she got her rose? Gag!!

My faves are also the teacher and Susan (bday girl). I also don't mind Sara (the one who wanted the kiss so bad) ~ I think she's cute :flower: and I think they have a connection, although who knows if that will last.

Why does the Canadian, Sara, keep throwing her leg over his when they sit together? She's practically on his lap, and she doesn't even know him. How inaprropriate! All those women seem so desperate, it's hard not to watch.

I SWORE I would not watch this season's Bachelor. I stood firm and did not watch it last week. But last night they got me again and I watched the 2 hour episode!! :rose: :crazy2:

I forgot how she was draping herself over him. I think they must all feel enormous pressure to make a connection with him and somehow stand out from all of the others that they end up acting so desperate. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: It's somewhat entertaining for us, but I wonder if they realize how dumb they look. :confused3 ;) I'm surprised he isn't off running :scared1: LOL!

I don't care for Moana either...I don't even think she is that pretty. After the conversation on the patio I didn't really care for the schoolteacher either....she seems as though she was really trying and then that whole "friendship before relationship" thing, seemed very awkward.

I like Susan, and I thought what he said to Tara in the cave was so sweet and then she and that girl had to go wreck Susan's one on one time. I think the Bachelor handled it well with what he said. He seems awesome. Not kissing them (lips) all the other bachelor's would have been playing tongue hockey! I see him ending up with Susan - I was shocked that he let that other pretty brunette go...and I couldn't believe the girl ont he first one on one date...the whole gross teeth thing? Yeah - totally killed the moment.....

I watched -again. I forget their names but so far I LOVE the birthday girl. She is my favorite. Don't care for the two who got roses early- esp. the red head- man was she drunk during the date. I was surprised he gave her the rose. I kind of like the Canadian girl but I don't know if she likes him or just wants to be the first to kiss him.

I did like Cole who got sent home. The other two that went home got no air time and I don't really remember them at all.

I also liked Susan the birthday girl best. I had also liked Tara and Jehan until they pulled that interrupting the cake stunt. Travis looked visibly irritated. What were they thinking? Sarah B from Canada is irritating to me (hated the draping legs). Something about her hits me wrong, but I can't properly identify what it is yet. It's just a vibe she gives off.

Seriously! Also, what about Moana saying she wasn't into dating someone who was dating 6 other women? Hello! That is what the whole show is about!

Wasn't the girl after Charlie last season also named Sara and she was from Canada too??? I know you all remember her, she was the one who loved to knit.....This Sara from Canada reminds me of her in a weird way, they both seem to be the one the Bachelor is attracted to at first but its lust not love. Should be interesting to see what happens with this Sara and Travis. Personally, I think she is to young for him.

I was also surprised at how visibly wasted some of the women seemed to be, especially Tara (is that the redhead's name?)

Also, I was finishing report cards so I wasn't able to watch the re-air of the first episode last night. Can anyone recap what the added scenes were that they showed? Thanks :goodvibes

I just finished watching it on my Comcast DVR... man... that nutty oncologist reminds me of TOO many women I knew in my 30s! :scared: I think Susan is the best choice, she is sooo beautiful and seems to have some modicum of class. I also liked Cole but I guess he didn't.

I have to give it to this Bachelor, he is a doll! I love his way and he seems so easy going and charming. After that NIGHTMARE Charlie he is a pleasure....

Let's hear it for the BEST names this year: Shiloh, Jehan, and Cole? Wow!

Was not going to watch this season - but I just need to get a laugh on Monday nights.

These women just kill me - he is dating all of you!

The oncologist that cornered him with her reproduction info was too funny. I think she is a little psycho! Not a wonder she is still single.

Now I have a question for all of you!

Would you be turned on or off when you found out he was a doctor? Sure the money is good - but the hours are a little long for my liking.

I guess my answer will equal my age and experience. When I was in my teens and twenties I wanted him to be around ALL of the time.. it gets old as you get older, though. Right now I'd appreciate him showing up to pay the bills and a hug every now and then....

Yep, I'm old!!! :teeth:

I'm glad to see there are other Bachelor junkies out there besides me!

Of course everyone in their right mind will agree that the oncologist was a nut. I felt sorry for her to be so bitter at such a young age. Didn't she consider that she was not the only one sent home that first night? Or didn't she consider that people have to feel an attraction towards another before a relationship begins. There are plenty of good looking men that I would feel no attraction to, but that doesn't mean that they are any less attractive. They just aren't for me. Yeah, I felt sorry for her.

Now a question: who were the two women who are secret friends on the show? They knew each other before they got there. I thought one of them might have been Susan, the first girl out of the limo.

The editing of the show only lets us see what they want us to see. The editing can make a woman look like a saint or a _ _ _ _ _. So far I thought Susan (the birthday girl) seemed best matched. Just a feeling. I like the girl from Canada, but she seems too possessive already, and men don't usually like that. And I didn't like the teacher - something about her I just didn't like.

Can't wait for the next installment!

I think what bugs me about Sara from Canada is that she seems too immature. When he gave her the rose during the first cocktail party she said "Wicked!" then must have sworn because she was bleeped out. I do think he is really attracted to her because she is the "outdoorsy" type like he is.

I think it is interesting that he picked so many YOUNG women. Many of them are 23 & 24. Not that he is that old, but I almost think someone in their late 20's would be better suited to him.

I do give him a lot of credit for not wanting to kiss the girls until he is on a single date with them. Sara is just too aggressive for my taste. Whoever said she was marking her territory is right on the money.
