I didn't see them as more than friends, they certainly did not have the connection that he had with Moana. Though I couldn't stand her either. Its no shocker, doesn't the show only happen over a course of two weeks?

Hmm... I wonder if he will call Moana? That would make for an interesting After the Rose ceremony episode. I wonder if there's something in his contract that wouldn't allow him to do that though.

I guess I don't really understand what their problem is. If there was a connection of any sort in Paris couldn't they pick that up again in Nashville even after some time had passed? My Dh often works on the road and at times I haven't seen him for almost 3 months. Time apart didn't kill our marriage because we actually have a real "connection" and commitment. According to the press release they will remain good friends. That tells me there wasn't really anything there to begin with. My guess is he really didn't find any of the women compatible but he had to pick someone so he picked Sarah just to get it over with. I'm thinking this is the end of the Bachelor/Bachelorette series. With the exception of Charlie/Sara, Trista/Ryan and Byron/Mary it's been a complete disaster. 3 couples out of 11 is a pretty bad track record.

the ABC posters made a new message board when ABC closed theirs and I have been reading

there seems to be a lot of speculation there that they decided to make an announcement to get the media off their backs and they are still dating and taking things slow

while I might think this might be wishful thinking on their part - the posts from Sarah's friend seems to support the theory - she talked with Sarah yesterday morning and said she could tell there was still something there

one of travis' friends is also posting and she seems to think that he cares a lot for Sarah but is just ready to be out of the limelight

both friends say that Travis and Sarah said from pretty early on they knew and that travis did not want to say or do anything to portray any of the other girls in a negative light - Sarah's friend said Sarah never had any doubt that she would get the last rose

My DD's friend from Nashville knows Travis's sister, Andrea and had sent this to my DD the morning after the final show aired. I didn't want to post it then and ruin it for anyone, but now that the story is out, you'll find it interesting.

"Before anyone gets all excited...yes, Travis did pick Sarah, BUT NO
they aren't still together. Kind of a bummer after the episode last
night. Apparently they talk almost everyday still, but it's only platonic.
She is dating one of the Tennessee Titan football players now.
She has gone to like every single charity and socialite function in
Tennessee since the show has been over. That is not Travis'
kind of deal at all. She wants to soak up the lime light of the show's
aftermath and Trav just wants it to be over. He was wasted last night when he watched the show with a bunch of his buddies.

He isn't going on any of the talk shows b/c they aren't together. ABC
doesn't want him to because of that.
Andrea (edited to add: his sister) was definately pulling for Sarah...she knew she won. But, she was suprisingly upset (crying even) during the scene when he let Moana go. After meeting her, she actually really liked her.

Get this, Andrea said that Travis said...if he were to do it all over
again....the two girls he would have held on to would be Susan and get
this, Jehan.

ABC buys the ring that he gave to her. She gets to keep it no matter
what!! Hmmm, that's all i can think of right now."


What do you think about who Travis thinks he should have taken to the final two now? Wasn't Jehan the one he let go because she had been married before? "Discuss amongst yourselves!"

Yeah, I've seen that same email posted on numerous boards the past week. I'm not doubting that the poster here, her dd or her friend believe this to be authentic but I do think someone was mislead somewhere. It's reached urban legend status and you know how much the story changes then.

I still think he just chose Sarah because he had to choose someone and wasn't bowled over by any of them.

I didn't mean that to come across as it did - I am sure that you had no reason to doubt it - but there are A LOT of people out there claiming they got that email from Travis' sister or his BIL or his cousin etc. - and like shugardrawers said - it has reached urban myth status - what I meant to be a just to let you know post didn't really come out that way -

So I was thinking about this the other day (don't ask me why I still care ) Supposedly is has been publicly announced that they have broken up and they are stating that it was due to being separated for 4 months and then as soon as they were able to be together they were hounded by the media 24/7. Ok, I think that would cause a major strain on ANY relationship, let alone one formed on a reality show. If the producers really want some credibility to their show as creating couples that last, then why don't they change something in the way the show is aired? I think if they completely get rid of the whole 4 months apart and you can't really talk thing it would be so much better. Just my 2 cents

And how. A highly placed source told me that although Travis tried to blame the show for their breakup, the truth is it was pretty much all him. I'm told that when they got back from Paris, he pretty much wanted nothing to do with poor Sarah or the show (hence, the lack of publicity on his part, which he was supposed to do under contract). The kicker? Several weeks ago, at the party after the taping of the "Women Tell All" special, he hit on Susan. How do you spell schmuck?

I always wondered why he picked Sarah. He said several times throughout the show that they felt more like friends than anything else. Maybe he felt he had no choice since Moana got a little too emotional in front of his parents. Ah well!

I do not think that he really wanted to pick Sarah. I think his heart was set on Moana or Sarah from Canada.

BUT - because they were the least liked in the house and the viewing public, maybe the network exec's had a hand in his final decision.

It just seems that way to me.

I don't think he wanted to be with Sarah Canada or Moana...I don't think he wanted to be with any of them. "Dating" 25 women in that situation (or any others) doesn't mean you're going to find "the one". If only it were THAT easy! Especially when the show is far more into the drama, than actually finding him someone he'd be compatible with, or at the very least, all the girls would have been athletic.

I've been hearing rumors that Travis and Sarah's "perfect" romance that wound up on "The Bachelor: Paris" Monday might already be done, and certainly the fact that the two didn't do the usual press rounds didn't seem like a good sign. Maybe they are private people (ha!) or maybe, just maybe, all that perfectness just didn't last. Reader Terese sent me a link to Bricks and Stones, who have more solid proof. It's a bit friend-of-a-friend, but it seems Travis has reunited with his girlfriend of five years. He and Sarah did date briefly and Travis is now in consultation to be a doctor consultant on ABC shows (surprise, surprise). The juiciest and saddest detail is that during the final rose ceremony, he said "I love you Sarah," but asked ABC and to edit it out since "it wouldn't be fair to her now." Ouch!

And while we are rumor-mongering, a link on Bricks and Stone also lead me to a comment on the BachelorRecap blog (it's the anonymous one at 2:09) which has an email that is allegedly from Mike, Travis's brother-in-law. It says that he and Sarah are done, that she may be dating a football player (the Tennessean reports she is dating a friend of a football player,) and that if Travis had it to do all over again he would have picked Susan and Jehan to go to the final two. Does this set a record for the fastest Bachelor break-up?
