Official thread for The Bachelor

She DOES sound like she was smoking pot. ::yes:: And I think that "growl" was her purring kitty thing she does.

YES! Purring was more like it. You mean she always does it????

Because ABC got all stupid and put both shows, as two individual listings, I only taped the first one, this past Monday. You know, the rerun?

Okay - so I admit, I was the stupid one. I didn't pay attention. Because of that, I missed the second one.

Thanks for posting that article -- its an interesting look at things from her perspective. Weird - but interesting.

I don't think the article from Dr. Allie sounded weird at all. I think the way she acted on the show was a little out there, but I think she has a very good point. Once you get to a certain age, you have put yourself out of the market for a lot of men. Especially for a professional woman who probably works long, hard hours. I'm sure it's not easy. The Bachelors are always looking for the young, skinny little blonde who is going to get attention and give them a good time. Have you noticed, the only Bachelor/Bachelorette couples who have ever made it are the ones where the girl is the one who was picking? Things that make you go hmmmm........

I really like this behind the scenes stuff that they're doing. I just thought the were re-airing episodes for the past 2 weeks, but they're actually going more into detail with the more interesting moments of the previous week. Cool! I just watched the part about Kristen and I feel sorry for her. She does seem so incredibly sweet and her take on her future love was so mature and so true. She just needs to have some social awareness as to when something needs to be toned down and when someone isn't feeling what she is saying. One thing she said that made me :rotfl: was when she said

'Someday I want to be able to tell my grandkids that this is where their father and I met.' :rotfl: :rotfl:

I agree with how sweet she seems, and I really wish they hadn't had a field day with her. But we also went "huh??" about the grandkids and father reference...I told my DDs that she was smart...skipping kids, and going straight to having grandkids. ;)

I am suprised he kept the Sarah smoke pot voice girl. I just don't see this connection? I really like Susan and am beginning to despise Moana. What is up with her hair anyway?

Moana reminds me of a snake. Just laying in the grass biding her time until she is ready to strike. :rolleyes2 I'm not sure what her ulterior motive is, but I'm sure there is one.

Incidentally, on the discussion boards for the Bachelor, a guy is on there who said he used to be the step-brother of Moana when they were little (their parents have since divorced). He thinks that she is pure evil and she was incredibly mean to him when they were little. For what that's worth...

I really like Susan and Sarah from TN. For some reason, I just don't like Sarah from Canada. She seems way to posessive and I hate the way she throws her legs over his whenever they sit near each other. She did that even when she was wearing a short dress. Have some class! It seems to me that the only thing she and Travis have in common is a love for camping. And that isn't going to take you very far in a relationship. He needs someone more mature.

Another one that I hope goes soon is Tara. She is too much of a party girl, and I really don't like the way she constantly interrupts everyone else's private time. It comes off as very childish.

I was surprised that he kept her after she interupted again last night...he seemed very annoyed.

I have not been able to watch the 'behind the scenes' episodes. Why do all of the women keep saying that Susan is there for the wrong reason so she shouldn't end up with Travis? I haven't seen her say or do anything to them to support that. She's been one of the only ones I've seen that has acted in a classy way. Some of the others are SO immature - Sarah from Canada pouting and looking so angry while Travis spent time with Jennifer in the tent; Tara interrupting every five minutes; Shiloh warning him against certain other girls in the house. And I don't know what to think of Moana. I just don't get some of these women's behavior at all.

Moana reminds me of the girl when Jesse Palmer was the bachelor....what was her name...the tall dark haired pretty one who didn't want to cook or have kids, who always got her way, had an affair with a married man and Jesse didn't go along with that.

I really really dislike Sarah from Canada....Sarah from TN is alright but she really hasn't done anything for me yet, she seems to strain at the conversations she has with him. I like Susan the best so far and she was the one he kissed first.

TRISH!

Me too on all three counts! I can't stand Sarah from Canada! I HATE her voice!

I can't wait for Tara to get the boot- she's always drunk and nasty. All she does is talk bad about everyone.

I don't see why the girls don't like Susan either- are they jealous? I'm really not liking the girls except for Susan. The teacher is OK.

First, I must say that you have the prettiest name I've ever seen. ;)

I don't understand where all the animosity is coming from about Susan either, but they did mention that she wants to get into acting, so maybe they're thinking that she's on the show for that only.

Suzanne

from what I have seen from Susan, I personally don't think she would make a great actress and I don't recall hearing her talk about it all that much either. We'll see as the show progresses....I am not really liking the first hour recap kind of thing they are doing, just get to the new episode already....I am dying trying to keep my eyes open for the 10 o'clock episode!

I'm a big fan of Susan. I'm rooting for her. If not her then Jehan followed by Sarah S (but I really don't see him connecting with those two yet.)

I don't like Tara's constant interruptions. I used to like Sara but she's starting to annoy me. And Moana has got to go. I really dislike her.

Maybe it's just me, but so far I like Sara from Canada. I feel like she is being the most open and not being snooty and acting classier than they really are. My other favorite is Susan. I really wanted to like Tara, but that interrupting and acting childish really turned me away from her. She seemed to be liking her alcohol last night too.

I really don't know what Moana is up too, but I don't understand why all the other girls got upset that she brought Travis his morning coffee and had a little one on one time. They could have all done the same thing...she just got there first!

The deal with Moana is that she has said on multiple occasions she is not into the guy dating multiple women, she really could care less about being there, etc and then she does a 360 and "game on".

I missed last week's second episode, so I'm totally confused by him letting Cole go home. Did something happen that I missed? She was so pretty.

I think that Moana is saying: look, I'm not into him dating all of us and if he doesn't pick me, I'll survive. She has been tight lipped about how she feels about him, but I think that's because she doesn't like the whole situation of all the girls liking him too. She's acting like she doesn't want to get close to them but she's all about getting close to HIM. I don't have a prob with any of that and think the girls are being jerks. The teacher looked awfully "crabby" and the b-word she used a lot seemed to apply more to herself than anyone else. There's not one girl there who would choose her new best friend over this guy, even if they pretend to be buddy-buddy now. Moana is being real about that and that's a plus for me IMO. I hate the fake, loyal stuff.

What bugs me about her, is her voice. She sounds like she's been smoking pot.

Haha I have been saying this since the first episode. She drives me crazy!

The only girl on this show I can stand is Susan. She's the only one not being spiteful, catty, or possessive. I like her personality and I think her and Travis have alot of chemistry. I hope they get to know each other better in the coming weeks. :)

Surprisingly though, I don't hate Moana. Actually, I think she's the only one being realistic about this whole thing. These girls have known Travis for what, three weeks? They don't know him that well and yet, they're all falling over themselves "in love" with him. I think Moana's got the right idea in a way. She's not in love and she's not going to compete with all these other girls. She wants to get to know Travis and if it works, it works. If not, then she'll go home and find something that DOES work.

I really wish that Travis would send Tara and Sara from Canada home. Tara is a drunk and she seems to be quite possessive, always interrupting Travis's time with the other girls. Sara just annoys me. She's EXTREMELY possessive and immature and she's always got this smug look on her face like she knows that Travis likes her best or something.
