Official Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs Favs Thread - Begins 2/7! Cast posted!

Anyone want to clear this up? I clearly have too much time on my hands!
I agree with your first three. I think that he is trying to cover all the bases. This may be a first where a couple was broken up so early in the game. It may have been a bad move strength wise but you know what happens when they let those couples go for too long. It always bites them in the rear.

I'm joining in over here. Sadly I have not really watched Survivor the past few seasons so I am not too familiar with the favourites. I do know who James is though ;) and of course I knew Fairplay, so glad he was gone, can't stand him!

I was surprised Chet saw another day on the island. His performance was so awful. He didn't even rush to get out of the water so someone else could have a shot. Was it Mark (?) that said Chet's body, heart, and mind wasn't in it so he was getting his vote. I agreed with him. Chet should have gone.

I don't know what team to like. I'm not that into it. The fans are all over the place. The favorites have been a little ho hum except for some sparks. I do like Cheri, she cracks me up. Yau Man, haven't seen much of him. Mostly it seems to be about the love birds. I'd like to see something else from that team.

It's been kind of interesting. Waiting for more.

I was disappointed that Yau Man went home tonight! It was frustrating watching Cerie waffle between the couples' alliance and Jonathon's alliance, finally choosing to side with the couples. She seems to have a lot of power in that alliance now. I kept thinking that maybe the two alliances would just turn on Cerie and vote for her instead! I think she may have made the right choice for herself to side with the couples though...I don't think she would have as much power in Jonathon's group.

Well I dont know that I would have gotten rid of him now but he would be hard to beat on the jury. I was hoping it would be Liza. I cant stand her.

I didn't like Eliza in her first season either, but she was always good for some drama. I think at this point it would have made more sense to vote her off since she's weaker than Yau Man, and sometimes the smaller, weaker people do end up winning individual immunities like Courtney from last season and Darrah from Pearl Islands. However, like you said, Yau would be very hard to beat in the final 2.

That's exactly what I was telling my family tonight.....since neither side can really trust Cirie and she keeps waffling, they should all get together and vote HER off! I'm sad to see YauMan go; I was hoping he'd go all the way this time. But he's a smart guy, so I can see why they'd want him gone sooner rather than later.

Yes, and that is just what happened with Christy from Survivor Amazon. She was the swing vote between two alliances, and she knew she had the power to decide which person would be voted off. However, she couldn't commit to one or the other alliance, so they decided to just vote her off instead because she was dangerous in her position. She was totally blindsided at that tribal council, but she thought she was still in the driver's seat. Remember her exit speech about Jenna and Heidi being her "two evil stepsisters"?

Yau Man was one of my favorites as well. I loved when he made that fake immunity idol on his season!

What happened though in Jonathan's alliance in voting tonight? they said they were all going to vote for Parvati anyway and Ami voted for Cirie (really just throwing her vote away).

Yeah, I was surprised that Ami voted for Cirie...I don't know what happened there. Maybe she was just sending some sort of message to Cirie that she's not as powerful or safe as she thinks she is.:confused3

That's what I was thinking.... That she is sending a message to Ciere. I was really hoping they would ALL turn on her and vote her off!

That's exactly what I was saying. :thumbsup2

I think they made the right choice for now with Yau-Man.....I think the young couple's need to keep Eliza around long term. I think she will be more likely to stick with them after a merge than to defect to the other tribe.

Cirie actually plays a smarter game than many people give her credit for. In her original season (and so far in this season) she doesn't really make alliances. She just makes sure she votes along with whomever the majority are voting for so that it isn't her.

I'm really bummed about Yau. :( I can't stand Cirie or Eliza....I was hoping something would happen and it would be one of them instead.

I think Cirie set herself up for failure at tribal council by admitting she had an alliance with JOnathan that she broke. I think that Ozzy and James will probably look to pick her off as soon as possible becasue she has shown herself to be waffly, and power hungry and ultimately loyal-ess.

I kind of like Jonathan. Don't know why everyone calls hima liar. He's a schemer and a player, but overall a pretty good guy.

I, too, hated to see Yau Man go.

Cherie only voted with the couples because Amanda and Parvati made an alliance with her to take her to the final three. She talks about lying to people that she doesn't trust. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

I personally like Jonathan by my DH says he has to go!

I agree - I thought the whole argument over which alliance she was with at Tribal Counsel was awful. It's more interesting (to me) when they aren't arguing about alliances openly like that. All it served to do was make her look like a jerk.

If I was the other 8 people, I would have voted off Cirie!

DH and I like Jonathon too. I also like James and Ozzie, but can't stand Parvati, so I'm not really rooting for them this time.

She seems to be playing a different game this time. I think I like it better. She was prett assertive last night. Its nice to see her not just laying low under the radar.
