Cool! A survivor thread!

My and dh's fav players are: Cirie, James, and Ozzie

The fans are one of the least likeable tribes ever put together. That Joel guy is probably our least fav. He keeps talking about how he's the leader and in control and just goes on and on about it. I can not think of one season where the "leader" (along of the lines of what he thinks he is) of a tribe was the winner in the end. Someone please refresh my memory if necessary.

Ozzie and Yau-man were totally new to me and dh. Somehow we missed their season(s). When the twins were infants there were a couple of seasons that we missed. Ozzie is amazing. IMO he is one of the best, if not the best, players in the history of the game. That idol he made last night was pretty neat. I have to give Yau-man alot of credit for thinking that up the first time, and I give Ozzie alot of credit for playing it that way again. I think the carving he made probably had more detail than what they showed. Maybe not though, but I think they just didn't show it well.

As far as the fans, dh and I like Chet because he annoys the others so much with his laziness. We like seeing the ones we don't like get aggravated.

Last season, dh and I were pulling for James, and after he was voted off we stopped watching. One of the guys that dh works with is friends with James' dad. James lives not far from us over in Lafayette, LA.

Not to go OT, but does anybody remember that little dude Clay from way back many seasons. He was a restaurant owner, and he lived near us. We drove by his restaurant all the time, and he closed it down not too long after his Survivor season aired. After Survivor, he was doing tons of local commercials which were so bad they were embarrassing to watch. He was a big time local celebrity around Monroe, LA for maybe a year.

I agree with a lot of you guys. The fans team is really not wowing me at all.

I loved how Ozzie made the fake idol! Brilliant!

I do not like the fans team AT ALL. I am sooooo mad that next week they are switching teams!

haha, that was funny. Wonder if anyone will be as dumb as Jamie was if someone does happen to find it...that had to be one of the best Survivor moments ever.

Anybody else think James is going to be mad when they switch? Seems like he makes a lot of comments about how he doesn't like some people...gotta love James though.

Tonight's episode was interesting. In a way I'm kind of glad they switched up the tribes. At least both tribes will now be somewhat interesting. However, I still don't know why the losing tribe is still voting out their strongest players! I don't see the logic in keeping Chet. It makes sense that the weaker members would want to keep him, but the others? They are just going to keep losing challenges. I think Chet has confirmed the fact that he is a liability to his tribe.

Cirie really seems to have a lot of sway in her tribe, but everyone seems to be underestimating her. She orchestrated the voting out of Yau Man as well. I was surprised that she managed to convince Ozzy and Amanda to vote for Chet. They might want to keep him because he may be expendable later, but that won't do any good if they're all voted out anyway due to losing all of the immunity challenges!

Next week doesn't look good for Jonathan. Hopefully he doesn't have to leave the game due to the infection. I noticed we haven't been seeing a lot of Ami. I wonder if she will make it far into the game and will get her exposure later. That happened with Darrah from Pearl Islands. We hardly heard two words from her most of the season, but later on she won a lot of individual immunities to get herself into the top 3 or 4.

I hope Jonathan doesnt have to go. I like him would like to see how their new tribe plays out for a while.

Also, that reward challenge looked brutal! All those people with fat lips, twisted knees, banged heads...

I can't believe Chet is still there.... I am surprised that Chet didn't get knocked out when he hit his head , that was pretty hard hit.

I just hope Ozzy figures out the Cirie is running the show and that he could be next to go too. She wants the strong one gone.

Wonder how the fake idol will play out? I think Jonathan will be going home that leg did not look good.

How stupid are these people???!! Yes, Joel is a Neanderthal (he even looks like a cave man), but CHET?? C'mon, wake up and use your brains! They can't see how Cirie is calling the shots? First she gets them to get rid of Yau Man, and now she somehow convinces them to keep Chet and get rid of Joel. I can't believe Ozzie fell for that!

Next week looks interesting - I hope Jonathan is ok. I hate to see people getting hurt and sick.

I was cheering when they voted Joel out! That guy was an ***. I thought the way he drug Chet around was sickening. Like a poor dog tied to the back of a vehicle. Anyone that has watched Survivor a lot knows that physical strength doesn't always mean a lot.

I so wanted Chet to grow a backbone and tell Joel where to shove it.

And, wow, whodathunk Cirie would be running the show?

That's exactly why you keep Joel! He's big and strong, which would help them win challenges now, but he's not subtle enough to be a threat later. Get rid of the scrawny guy who doesn't do anything now, so that you can win challenges to get food, gear, and immunity. If they keep voting out their strongest players they're going to keep reducing their chances of winning in the beginning.

I also really hope Jonathon is ok. He's one of my favorites. I couldn't watch when they were giving him the shots to numb up his leg while they stitched him back together.

Anybody else really love when Jeff said that Airi (sp?) tribe needed to "stop ******** and start throwing"? I almost fell off the couch!!

I really hope they get rid of Cirie and Tracey soon. Tracey is the one hanging on to chet for their alliance. She is really getting on my nerves.

I will never understand why they kept Chet around for one more round. I said I hope they continue to lose and have to pick each and everyone of them off. Chet does NOTHING for the tribe. NOTHING at camp and nothing in the challenges. I don't see why Ozzy and Amanda went along with it.


Cheri just keeps running the show and making bad decision for her tribe.

Cirie is a manipulative wee-otch. I still don't get how every one kept saying that JOnathan was such a bad manipulative schemer and then her's "innocent " Cirie pulling everyones puppet strings. If they don't get rid of her, then they are all idiots.

Is Eric the one aspires to be like Ozzy on the show? I think that kid is in love with Ozzy. When he looks at him it's with hearts in his eyes. Talk about being star-struck!

ETA: I'm surprised their all falling for Cirie's game. It's the exact game she played her last go round.

While Chet isnt a physical threat he is tracey's puppet. If they get rid of him then their tribe as a whole is stonger and she will have one less ally with the "weak" players.

It might have been an improvement

He has to be the worse player in Survivor history and is only lasting due to the stupidity of the others. There will be another physical challenge down the road, before the merge, where they will be sorry that they don't have Joel to offset James.

I disagree. While I don't think last night was the time to vote Joel out, there is so much more to this show than brute strength. Joel seems to be all strength and no skill. Unlike James who combines strength with athleticism, I don't recall who said it, but she was right, he couldn't even hit those targets. I keep thinking back to James' season. There was a gladiator type challenge and he just decimated the opposition with strength and skill. So, I don't think Joel would have lasted as long as you would think.

I agree. I think it's better to keep your stronger players in the beginning up until the merge so the entire tribe has a better chance of making it to the merge. After the merge, it's open season! It seems to me that the most physical challenges are before the merge. Then it's more puzzle, endurance, and obstacle type challenges where physical strength really doesn't matter.
