Hi everyone! This is my very first post on here.

We'll be at WDW 9/19 - 9/26. First trip with our daughters who will be 2 and 4.

We're staying at the contemporary. Booked adrs already.
We are honored to have you as a first post I'm sure. Happy Disneying!! If that's even a word.

Thank you! I'm so excited...and slightly overwhelmed.
It can be overwhelming, but you will find tons of information here and feel free to ask questions and someone should be able to point you in the right direction. You are going to have a great time.

Thank you so much! I'm a planner and have done a lot of research lol, but with a 2 and 4 year old I think that's a wild card. Dd1 is princess obsessed so our trip will revolve around that.

Thoughts on mnsshp? Pass since my girls are so young?

What is / did everyone book for ADR's that were meals? Any activities? This will be our first trip and it's all very overwhelming. I should add there is 3 of us, our son is 9 :)

My window opens tomorrow. I am printing out my spreadsheet and leaving for work early so I can reserve before I have to go to work.

I sure hope I can get a seat for the Chief Mickey Breakfast for my son, fingers crossed.
You will get it! :earsboy:

when I booked my ADRs a couple weeks ago, there was a lot of availability at Chef Mickey's.....but I was online @ the start!

I would say this depends on their sensitivity. Some little kids were there and seemed to enjoy it. My kids were freaked out by some of the costumes by guests. They couldn't wait to get out of the park!

It's overwhelming, but is a wonderful way! You'll soon be addicted like the rest of us. ADRs will always get mixed reviews. Everyone eventually learns what works for their family. My family can't do without CRT. We always do dinner and try for a late window seat.

For our trip this year (9/2-9/9 @ WL CL) I booked:
1. CRT dinner
2. BOG lunch
3. La Hacienda - late dinner, hoping for window seat (to see Illuminations)
4. Tusker House - dinner, but waiting for RoL package
5. Minnie's Seasonal Dining @ H&V dinner
6. Restaurant Marrakesh - dinner - this one is for me. The kids can deal with it! :)
7. O'hana

I also booked the Early Morning Magic - it does include breakfast. I didn't book additional activities because last time my 3 girls did BBB. Your family may enjoy renting a boat to take out on the lake.

We have only been once and my youngest was 10 (the other 2 were late teens). They liked meeting the characters that aren't usually out. We enjoyed the parade and the low wait times for the rides. While 2 of us waited in a long line to meet Minnie and Daisy (in their Halloween costumes), my two girls rode Dumbo maybe 10 times in a row. There was no one else in line at Dumbo. We even got a couple of rides on 7DMT without any waits. The trick or treating was ok. It was much better right at closing, because CM were trying to get rid of the candy, but it felt like a really long night by then. We are hoping to do it again this year. We didn't wait in line to see any of the princesses at the party, so I am not sure how long those lines are.

We're there Sept 6-11, and we're going for a very different vibe from our last trip. Last December we went can to can't every single day, had ADRs almost every single day (occasionally more than 1), and we were worn slap out by the time our 8 days were up. This time I only have 4 ADRs, and we're (so far) only buying MNSSHP tickets as far as Disney tickets go. We have a local friend down there that just got hired back on at Disney, and so if he has comp tickets by then, we may add another park day on Day 2. (Fingers crossed that if he gets them, Animal Kingdom isn't blocked off so we can see Pandora!)

So far, on arrival day, we don't get in until almost 4pm, so I just have a Kona Cafe dinner ADR and want to catch the new Happily Ever After fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian.

Day 2 is a little grocery shopping (since we're at a cabin at FW), maybe hitting the Character Warehouse off site, lunch at the cabin, exploring the Fort, and then going to the Boardwalk that evening, and hope to catch the Electrical Water Pageant at the end of the night.

Day 3 we have tickets for Discovery Cove at Sea World (my CM friend who is staying with us also works at Sea World part time), then we'll have dinner at the cabin and do Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long and probably stay for the movie.

Day 4 is our totally FW day. We'll do brunch at the cabin, maybe go to the pool, see the horse ranch, maybe kayak, then we have a Hoop Dee Doo ADR that night.

Day 5 we have a Trail's End brunch ADR then we may go do mini golf at Winter Summerland, then go to MNSSHP that night.

Then on our departure day, we don't fly out until after 5pm, so we'll go to Disney Springs for a little bit after we get packed up and check out and try the new Planet Hollywood Observatory for lunch.

I got all the ADR's I wanted with no problem. I had to book BOG as a lunch instead of dinner but that's fine.
I am buying the in room celebration. My 17 year old daughter has never been and my almost 2 year old son won't remember, but we will have lots of pictures!!

We are coming down a day early and staying on International drive for one night. I grew up not far from Orlando and I wanted to hang out and take the kids to Wet and Wild where I went as a kid but did not realize it was closed. So I got a motel that has a water park attached and we will just finish the day off there and get over the 8 to 10 hour drive.

Going to Disney Springs after we check out and then eat lunch at T-Rex and mill around for a while before we check into the All Star Sports. We will finish out the day by hanging out by the pool and relaxing. Monday is the first day of going to the parks!!

My wife thinks I need professional help as I talk about the trip everyday. I have a Disney count down display in the living room. I bought all new luggage for our trip, I also bought a new camcorder. This will be our first big trip, most vacations last 2 or 3 days max since I was on active duty and deployed a lot. I am retired now and I want to make this extra special in every way I can.

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post in quite a few years! It’s been awhile since my last trip (October 2013!!) so I’m super excited to be booked September 3-10 at Caribbean Beach (not worried about the construction!) with my fiancé and our (now) 17 month old Princess! We have 5 day park tickets with Park Hopper and MNSSHP on September 7th! We will be getting her First Haircut done while we are there, all of our ADRs are booked. Now patiently waiting for the discounts to be released (hoping for Free Dining as I’m sure most of us are), then booking our FP+ !!

Left breakfast and lunch open. We might eat breakfast in the room and use a quick serve for lunch. Or eat a big breakfast and just hold out till dinner. We have early reservations for our dinners so it won't be too bad.

Chef Mickey's (D)

Beaches & Cream (just to get a kitchen sink sundae for the first time! :hyper:)
Akershus (L)
Hollywood & Vine (D)
Jungle Skipper Canteen (D)
Cape May (B)
Tusker House (D)
1900 Park Fare (D)
T Rex (L)

Hollywood & Vine will be a Halloween character meal at dinner which is fun - Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Goofy in costumes. DH and I were there without kids last fall but I think it would be perfect for kids. My son is 9 too and he's the one who picked doing H&V over the SciFi Dine-In Theater. :)

We're also planning on doing the Pirates League makeover at Magic Kingdom for the kiddos.

We (me, DH, DS7 and DD2) will be there September 2-9, staying at Wilderness Lodge. My twin sister and her family (DH, DD4 and DD1) will also be there with us and our birthday falls during this trip, so we're all very excited!

As far as ADRs go, my sister and I were both up bright and early at 4am to make our reservations at 180 days out. It was actually helpful having two of us making the reservations - we were able to divide and conquer :) Our list looks like this:

- Trail's End Brunch (B)
- Art Smith's Homecoming (D)
- Be Our Guest (B)
- Tusker House (B)
- 'Ohana (D)
- Beaches and Cream (L)
- Cinderella's Royal Table (B)
- Whispering Canyon Cafe (D)
- Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast (B, obviously)

We got everything we wanted, at the times we wanted, so we're really happy about that!

Our ADRs are less than 2 days away! Hoping for CRT and BOG dinners, other than that I am still hammering details down.

So exciting! Your wife will really appreciate how much planning and prep work you did once you get there!
