Family of 8 here needing ideas for costumes, i would like to keep it themed if possible, 4 adults, 4 children (2W, 2M, 2 girls 7 &5, 2 boys 10 & 4) Snow white sounds awesome, afraid two girls will fight over who is going to be snow white though. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks in advace

Will there be a parade and or fireworks as part of MNSSHP? I thought I had read about that before, but can't seem to find it now. And is it different than the ones at MK earlier in the week (MNSSHP is only on the Friday we'll be there)?

There are two parade times for the MNSSHP parade and there are indeed Halloween themed fireworks. The parade is a must see (I'm usually not a huge fan of parade) and the fireworks are Disney great. I actually like MNSSHP more than MVMCP.

Yes and they are different than the regular parade and fireworks. They are specifically Halloween themed.

Me (26) and my mom (old enough to have a 26 year old :rotfl: ) are heading to MNSSHP for the first time Oct 16th!! I am pumped to see Disney at this time of year. We shall not be dressing up, but we can't wait to see all the other little kiddies dressed in thier Halloween best!!:yay:

We really enjoyed the parade, even though it was raining. My DD7 still sings the "Boo to you" song that they played during the parade. I especially enjoyed seeing Capt. Jack and the grave diggers who danced with their shovels were great too! They also handed out choc. candy. Loved the fireworks to. If you can make sure you can see the front of the castle since they project images on it during the show.

some great designs by gals...I made t-shirts for our last trip and they were a huge hit...

Wow! Those are amazing!! Are people really ok with others using their designs like that? I'm going to have to get design-savy enough to work on customizing them. I'm afraid I'm too far behind on the learning curve to contribute for this year! Maybe next? :confused3 Thanks for the link and the great designs!

We are soooooooooo excited...Our first MNSSHP is going to be OCT. 1st. My girls (7 and 4) are insistant of wearing princess costumes (DD7 is Ariel and DD4 is Snow White). I am trying to find something cute for my husband and myself. I found a neat website where I can create a tee-shirt for hubby that says "I'm her Prince Charming" With and arrow (pointing to me of course :)) But I can't decide on anything for myself....ANY suggestions????

Thanks:goodvibes

We are planning on attending the 9/14 party. Right now it is myself, DH and our 2yr DD. My sister may be tagging along as well. We already have our ADR for LTT that night. I can't wait.

We are going this year Oct 31st, on Halloween!!

This will be our first MNSSHP and we are really looking forward to it. The kids DS14 and DD16 have bought costumes for the party....go figure.

Need to come up for something for DW and myself!

Does anyone know how mant tickets do the sell for an event like this? I have read that some nights sell out.

We're so excited (will try to get tickets for Oct. 30th) my daughter has already decided on dressing up as a cheerleader from High School Musical. I've bought a pattern from "simplicity" but will now have to locate a seamstress to make it for her....the lengths we go to for our children....

Assuming the tentative dates are correct, I'm surprising DH w/tickets for the Sept 14th party when we're there for our anniversary!! It will be our first MNSSHP. I love this thread! Learning so much! I knew I didn't want to waste our park ticket that day, but didn't realize the party will open around 430! That's awesome!

Also, interested in the tshirt link...curious to know how that works? Do you need permission to use the image? If not, do you just save the image & bring it some place to have the tshirts made? I think this would be the perfect "costume/gift" to give DH for the surprise!!

Subbing! Our family of 11 will be there on 9/21:cool1: I would also like to know more about the T-shirt transfers. We want to dress up, but are also concerened about the heat.

Wow and I thought I was way ahead of myself --- I just decided on a costume (didn't it buy it yet). I guess, I'm behind the rest of you:goodvibes

I know we are going while we are there, probably on Oct 1 if the dates don't change. Hopefully there will be a DVC discount for tht night :goodvibes

I would love to dress up, but we will probably do t-shirts or something that. I really like the idea of the Prince Charming t-shirt, maybe we could do something like that and I could be his Cinderella!:thumbsup2

Couple of questions though. I know this is a hard ticket event, but if we pre-order the tickets, so we get the actual tickets mailed to us, or it is a voucher? I have never done any hard tickets events at Disney, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Also I was thinking of eating at the LTT hoping to get a reservation for 4p so we could eat and get out there, but then I was thinking if we did a CS meal, then we could get out there quicker. We'll only be going to one party while we are there, so do you think it is better to do a TS or CS for the meal that night? I have time to decide, but I w3as wondering what others experiences were. TIA!!

If we go, we'll also be going on 9/14. We went on 9/15 last year. I was undecided about going again, but DD7 really enjoyed it (especially the parade) and now that I've downloaded the "Boo to You" song, and we've been listening to it over the past few days, it looks like we'll have to go again. Just have to convice my DM to spend the extra $$. Last year we did BB all day before and we did get a little tired at MNSSHP. Maybe this year I'll tell my DM that we'll visit with her uncle and aunt (who live in Orlando) that day, and do MNSSHP. That should work! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if LTT has released the special events calendar times? We had a problem getting a good time last year. Originally I had ADR for about 4:10 (which I knew I wasn't going to be able to make in time since we couldn't get in until 4 p.m.) but when I mentioned that on a post I found out that they have a special events calendar which the CM I spoke to didn't check (she should have since she was the same CM I bought the tickets from :confused3 ) Anyway, by the time I called again, the best time I could get was 5:55. This turned out fine, we actually finished dinner and we walking out the door just as the anouncement came that MNSSHP was officially starting (7 p.m.) I would like to get an earlier time this year so we can ride some rides before the official start time. Maybe around 5 p.m.

What times are people able to get now?

TIA! :disrocks:
