"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

For us last year at MNSSHP, we watched the first parade back near Hall of Presidents, then made our way toward the castle for the stage show and fireworks. We ended up with a pretty good spot in front of the castle for fireworks... so I think it is possible!

Sorry to piggyback on @Iowamomof4 question... How long did you wait for fireworks? Did you go immediately after the parade passed? I'm wondering if it's possible to get a spot at Main Street and move up to the hub for fireworks...? (Just to add I have a two year old in a stroller in tow)

Gosh... I think we moved from Liberty Square towards the front of the castle to catch the Hocus Pocus show pretty much right along with the parade moving that way, then just held a spot in the circle between the castle and Main Street through the fireworks. That said though, for MVMCP, I want to watch the parade from Main Street (snow!)... but I am guessing you could move that direction if you wanted.

Yes, wanted to watch the parade from Main Street then move to the hub for fireworks :) I'm betting everyone else has the same idea though :crowded: my problem is I have a BOG ADR at 6:20 and am not sure if be able to secure a spot at Main Street.. Going to keep looking for an earlier time I guess...

This is from last year, but should be the same this year:

  • Princesses with their princes - You can meet Aurora with Prince Phillip, Snow White with her Prince, Cinderella with her Prince, and Rapunzel with Flynn Rider. Cinderella and Rapunzel are in Princess Fairytale Hall. Snow White and Aurora are in Fantastyland near Pricness Fairytale Hall. Line up at 6:30 for this.

Thanks for posting the link; super helpful!
Does anyone know when they'll come out with info for the 2016 party?

So, I was figuring if you wanted a spot on Main Street you pretty much had to park yourself there on your way in at 4 and then not move until the parade was over. Is that not exactly accurate?

I don't think you need to wait at 4, seems way too early since the parade is not until after 8? (If it's really a 4 hour wait, I would probably do the dessert party :P)

Just a FYI...the parade runs twice and the first one is really, REALLY crowded. After last year, our plans are to watch the first parade in Frontierland and maybe the 2nd one on Main Street. Crowd is "packed in" for first parade and I'm pretty sure you won't find a spot with a stroller unless you get there VERY early. As for the snow...it falls on Main Street until closing...maybe not constant but I took this on our way out of the park. (New camera last year and I failed to learn how to operate it BEFORE the trip ...hoping for better pictures this year :goodvibes):

Plans have changed for us this Christmas and will be in DW the week before Christmas. Only date I could attend would be the 18th or 22nd. Would I be crazy to attend on those dates? Are they the busiest of the Christmas parties. I hate the higher party price only to stand in longer lines.....

Any advice would be appreciated.

I expect both of those parties will sell out, so it depends on what you wish to accomplish. If you're just looking at riding the rides, you'll probably be fine. If you want to meet the characters, those nights will probably have the longest waits of all. The parades and fireworks will be very crowded.

It's is my understanding that the parties have a "cap" on tickets... So no matter which date you choose the numbers should be the same. We've attended the last 2 years at sold out parties and except for Main Street and the Hub they've been very doable. in fact FW in the hub was not crazy, crowded, yes, but not overwhelming. (I could easily move about without whacking someone else - we weren't armpit to armpit)
Also watched the 2nd parade from Adventureland, it was great! Plenty of room!
So, I would say go, it may be less crowded than MK on one of the regular non party nights that week.

Quick question re: FP+ reservations. We are only staying at WDW one night and are only doing MVMCP. If I order my tickets to be shipped, do I have to wait until they arrive to be linked to MDE, or can I use my order/reservation number? Has anyone been able to book their FP for the early dates of MVMCP (b/w 4-7)?

Does anyone know where there is a list of all the characters who are at MVMCP and where they are located? TIA

I don't think they've released that for 2016 yet. You can find a map from last year, but there might be some changes. I don't think it'll get released until much closer to the party, but I'm really eager to find out, too!

This will be our 1st MVMCP. I haven't even begun to think about a plan for the night. I'm going to look at last year's character info. Thanks for suggesting that.

You should be able to do it with the res. #. Call.and ask to have them linked... And since your staying at a WDW resort, you should be able to do 3 FP for between 4 and 7 pm.

Check out Kenny the Pirates for all things character related. He has all the info from last year, and he'll be one of the first, if not THE first to publish all the MVMCP character info this year.
