"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

The only party date that seems to work for us is Friday, November 18th. A Friday night, leading into Thanksgiving. Am I crazy to go? Too crowded?

We are going to be at DW Oct 23 - Nov 8 We are doing MNSSH on Oct 31 we have been to disney Christmas Week but MVMC is always done is it worth going to the First night this year or wait till next year we will be there Dec 18-Dec 28

I vote unequivocally for Nov 8! Back in 2012, I did a "Two Holiday" trip at DLR, Oct 30-Nov 16, attending the Oct 31 Halloween party and then staying for the opening weekend of Christmas time (parade, fireworks, decorations, the holiday tour that got us parade seats). It was glorious. You will love doing it. So much fun and magic in a fortnight! Every day we saw something new a the park changed seasons.

My fiancé and I are going on December 13th. Any tips? We'll be in the parks from the 11th-18th
See you there!

1) No, I don't think it's crazy. People talk about the week of Thanksgiving, not the week (or even the weekend) before, and usually not until the day before. Yes, Fridays are supposed to have more people than Tuesdays, but...
2) I don't think the dates matter that much, except maybe for those going to the first couple in what might be the last "slow period" at WDW. Most of the parties seem to sell out, they're all capped at the same number of tickets, I believe, so I think we're mostly all attending the same party.
The one difference might be in the 4-7pm period, where there are regular guests and party guests together, in that some days could be busier then, making FPs more useful. But after 7pm, I think we make too much of trying to pick the perfect day. ;-)

Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been asked and answered.....
We plan to be at AK during the day (FP+'s selected there) and then attending MVMCP that evening. Can we select Fastpasses for MK for during the MVMCP as well?

Only if your MVMCP tickets are linked to a separate profile.

You can't book FPs during the MVMCP - you would have to book them for 3:30-6:30.

I have party only tickets for Dec. 8th. I can book fastpasses for 3:30-6:30, 60 days out...since we are staying onsite correct? I am on phone with Disney person now who said that I couldn't....but everything I read says I can. Just checking for sure.

Edited......someone else came on phone and said, yes, I could make fp for before party. I should have known the first person didn't know what they were talking about.

Do those that attend this party regularly feel that opening night (11/7) will be the madhouse that opening night of MNSSHP tends to be?? We've been to MANY MNSSHP's but never been to MVMCP. I'm just looking to know so we can adjust our expectations. We fly home the following day so opening night is our only option and we decided to go for it since we've never been. But I'd like to have some idea ahead of going of how many rides we might be able to ride, which parades to see and from where, etc.
TIA for any advice!

The party "starts" at 7pm but I imagine there are people that entered the attraction lines that will still be in line when the party starts. If a non-party guest gets in line at 6:55pm, they're not going to tell you "No" are they? At what time would you guess that the non-party guests are cleared out of the attraction lines?

Those without party tickets can enter a line up until 7:00. So, the last person without a wristband will probably clear out of 7DMT between 7:30-8:00. The last FP+ time is 6:30, so the lines should be moving quickly after the last FP+ is scanned.

Our vacations overlap. We will be doing MVMCP's on the 11th & 13th.

In regards to MVMCP, I recommend a plan whether meet n greets/photo pass or merch is more important to you. The rides will have short lines throughout.

In regards to WDW as a whole, I recommend resort hopping and seeing the decorations; and if you have the opportunity to check out the campgrounds, do so. At EPCOT, check out the storytellers and Joyful!. And since you are adults looking for fun, 'Drinking around the world' is not a bad thing.

We just did the MNSSHP and I got my first FP for 3:10 to 4:10 so I could get all 3 in the time frame before 6:30. We didn't do another park that day so we were at MK by 4. Walked right in and got to Space Mtn by 4:10. Just saying you can reserve them before 3:30.

The first Halloween party this year wasn't bad according to reports. But also by the time the Christmas parties roll around MK has the parties all figured out. I do think this year's first Christmas party will be busy because lots of marathon people will still be there

We are going to the first party (and second to last Halloween party). I don't think it will sell out.
