"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

We are going to the party on the 15th of November...I had not planned on doing any dinning during the party - but was able to get CRT for 10:45 that night, with little one's I would never dream of dining that late - BUT really want my daughter to se CRT...SO what I FIGURE to be a plus - is that this late reservation time - (based on last years schedule) should allow for us to do all or most of the party activities, watch the parade and fireworks and then head to CRT..

Does anyone that has experience with the party think that this makes sense or is it completely absurd?!!

Thanks!

How old is your little one? That will be an expensive place to fall asleep. Personally, I'd keep trying for an ADR on another day when they can truly experience and enjoy it.

I second that, we did a 9:30 ADR at CRT and our little girl wasn't into it at all. She was tired, the princesses looked like they couldn't wait to leave, and the food was just ok.

I have a 4 and 5 year old (and 12) - the 4 year old is the Princess obsessed! That is my fear - about falling asleep...although my kids are usually ones that will stay awake to not miss a party....I was thinking of staying at the hotel that day and trying to force a nap (non nappers!) and then arrive for the party hope for the best! But Yes IDEALLY I am hoping to get a better ADR for it!

Please don't get frustrated with me. You've already paid close to $400 for the party. CRT will be another $300. So you're losing party time for an experience that may fall flat. Even if I had won the lottery, I don't think I would attempt this one. Spend the time at the party letting that little one meet the princesses with their princes! This is the only place she can do that.

OMG NO! I wouldn't get frustrated with you! LOL - I very very much value your opinion!! And am 99% sure based on this advise that I will be returning to obsessive stalking of the reservation system!
FYI - No way close to having won the lottery - but have the dining plan! (although its an expensive 2 meal credits!)

REALLY? Princesses with Princes!! You got me convinced!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my post!

This is from last year, but should be the same this year:

  • Princesses with their princes - You can meet Aurora with Prince Phillip, Snow White with her Prince, Cinderella with her Prince, and Rapunzel with Flynn Rider. Cinderella and Rapunzel are in Princess Fairytale Hall. Snow White and Aurora are in Fantastyland near Pricness Fairytale Hall. Line up at 6:30 for this.

Agree - and if you think they can make it that late, I would do the later parade and the meet and greets during the first parade time.

I know the conventional wisdom is to see the 2nd parade for lighter crowds. However, if we do that, how will we get a decent spot for the fireworks? I'd like to be doing other party activities (no characters, just riding rides and attending whatever stage shows/party things are in Tomorrowland) prior to the fireworks. Will we possibly be able to walk into the hub area from the Tomorrowland side and find a place to stand for the fireworks? I'm hoping my daughter will get a chance to see Tink fly out of the castle.

Today was my FP day and I was able to do my 4 park days plus my party day on the 7th. Also got all the fp we were looking for without a problem at good times.

For us last year at MNSSHP, we watched the first parade back near Hall of Presidents, then made our way toward the castle for the stage show and fireworks. We ended up with a pretty good spot in front of the castle for fireworks... so I think it is possible!

Have read that Jungle Cruise is transformed to Jingle Cruise for the Holiday season. Attending the party on November 8. Should I assume this transformation will take place by then? And, if so - does it make a difference if I ride it before or after the party? I would assume that once the transformation happens, it would be available throughout the season??

I believe that is correct. We attended last year the Thursday before Thanksgiving and the change was complete. We'll be attending the party in December and my plans are to get a 4:30 PM FP for Jingle Cruise since we have Skipper Canteen reservations at 5:15. Whatever you decide, you'll want to add the Jingle Cruise to your FP list. Last November seeing a 1 hour wait was ordinary; we finally managed to secure one on our last day there. :tink:

Apologies if this has already been asked.

We have tickets for the 22nd of december.
If we spend most the day in MK on a normal ticket is there somewhere inside the park to line up to hand over your christmas party ticket and recieve a band etc..?

Or do you have to leave the park and line up in a certain line.
Cheers

I am thinking about going to the party on either Thursday December 1 or Friday December 2.

Which date do you guys think will have the least crowds? My gut is telling me 12/1, but I am not sure. Also, with it being that early in December, shouldn't the crowds be good for both dates?

We are going on the Podcast Cruise that starts that Sunday, so I am trying to get everything planned out.
Thursday is almost always better than Friday because it's a school night. But traditionally, both nights in early December have sold out... See link:

So, I would plan whatever works best for your schedule. We've been when it's been a sold out night and when it's not, and quite honestly, except for unusual character M&G's, it's never been overwhelming.

No you don't have to leave the park...There are stations throughout the park that you will be able to get your wristband between 4 pm and 7 pm.
