"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Now the NBA schedule has finally dropped (I feel I can still use the word dropped as I am not 30 until March ::yes:: ) we have finally booked our MVMCP tickets for the 1st December and the 9th December - the 1st December being our 1st wedding anniversary and the 9th December being our last day in the parks before we get on the Fantasy

Cookies and milk were consumed throughout the booking process, however I can neither confirm nor deny that the Michael Buble Christmas album was also playing in the background.

So excited!

They offered 1 day MM last year for around $39.00.
Check in MDE, I don't believe it was available until closer to the party.
I also belive that you can call and have it added on...

:thumbsup2 That would be awesome. I've search MDE from one end to the other and can't find anything :headache: but since you mentioned it I think it is closer to the party before it's offered. I'll keep checking and thanks for answering. :thumbsup2 :tink:

Is Jungle Cruise turned into Jingle Cruise only during the party or will it be that way during the day as well?

As far as I know it becomes Jingle Cruise when the decorations go up. I haven't seen any announcements and hope, with all the budget cuts :headache:, they'll continue it. It's really cute and we had to finally get a FP last year to experience it without a 45-1 hour wait. :tink:

It's Jingle Cruise throughout the Christmas season. I don't know how long it takes to set up, but I'm sure it's too long for it to be feasible to put it up before each party and then take it down afterwards.

Would we just use the actual e ticket to get on the ride?

No, you would need a plastic RFID-enabled card. You can exchange your e-ticket before you enter the park, but I'm not sure if it's at Guest Relations or Guest Services.

Is the jingle cruise better at night? Will the line be crazy at the party? Or should I get a FP for it?

It's was busy last year, but the wait was around 20 minutes, maybe less...
We plan to do it absolutely last this year after the fireworks and last parade.
The only way you could fp is if you do it between 3 pm and 6 pm on a party night, otherwise if you want to use a FP after 6:30 pm, you would have to do it on a non party night.

We're attending the MVMCP on Fri 11/18. I thought it'd be nice to get a family photo with the dwarves, but my hesitation is the kids are only 1 and 4. I assume it's a very boring wait even if we get in line by 6 pm. Should I just forget about the dwarves? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Oh trust me, it is NOT an almost empty park. LOL. It's the complete opposite.
Most people (my observation) are waiting in hours long lines to meet characters, especially the 7 Dwarfs. Will wait in line 2 hours for it.
Or princesses and their princes. For those who love character pics, this is the only opportunity to get these kinds of pictures.

We have an ADR at 7:15 at CRT on Dec 1. Does that mean the Princesses will not be at our dinner?

We are ONLY doing the party so our choices are use a FP between 4-7 or the party. I am wondering if the JC is the type of right that is better at night - I have only done it during the day. We plan on staying to Midnight, so I could save it to ride late into the party IF it's worth it. I know it is subjective, though

I've read on here many times that the Jungle Cruise is better at night, so I would assume the same is true with the Jingle Cruise. Like you, I've only done it during the day, but when we go next Christmas I'm planning on doing Jingle Cruise at night, probably late at the party.

I think I would play it by ear, and see what the line looks like at 6:00. If only a few are there, I might chance it, but even if you get in line at 6:00, you've got at least a 45 min wait, and maybe an hour+ if they don't come out early. That's a long time for a 4 yr old to stand in line unless you have something for them to do.

I don't know about the princesses, but you do realize you're probably spending two hours of prime paid-for party time in a restaurant. That's an expensive dinner!

I can't decide but this year I'm leaning towards not going. I sure will miss the parade though! Ok, so if I don't go to the party do I remember correct that the first Christmas show and the lighting of the castle occurs before non-party goers have to leave? Also, what happens if you get into a line around 6:45 or so? I mean, I know you can't stay past party time but will they let you go ahead and ride then go even if it means you are walking out at 7:30? Also, I'm considering making dining reservations at Narcoosees if we don't stay for the party. What time would you make them in order to watch the fireworks from the dock? I'm thinking about making them at 7:30 so we can go straight there when we leave MK. Ugh, or do I stay for the party...:)

I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I just want to make sure....

At the Halloween party, you can get a picture in front of the carriage at HM and get a magic shot and the HM characters are much more animated. Is there anything like that at the Christmas party? I want to make sure I know everything that is possible at the party.

Good question, I'm interested in knowing the answer to this as well.

This is from last year: http://www.disboards.com/threads/photo-magic-shots-at-mvmcp.3464530/

In 2014, we got the Prep and Landing shot in front of the big tree as well.

I'm thinking about going this year during our November trip. Can someone completely sell it for me and make it so I KNOW I will have a good time?

Will Anna and Elsa have meet and greet at the party? I am so bummed that they are now only in Epcot as that is not on our December itinerary and my daughter (like all 3 year olds!) adores Frozen! Hoping we can see them at the party and the lines aren't too long!

Jungle/Jingle Cruise being better at night is entirely subjective. I personally don't think I could choose one experience over the other. Day and night are both really fun and certainly worth doing if you haven't done one or the other before! Nighttime does make the ride a bit more mysterious.
