Well I was excited about adding a day to our trip at the Poly and DH now said NO. WAHHHH business has not been that great since our governor made some changes to how things work here that directly affects our business. BUT he did say I can still add a night it just has to be at a DVC resort since we have about a nights worth of points left over.

I'm just not getting into this trip like I should and its frustrating me. Its just DH and I and we are leaving the kids at home with Grammy and I have a feeling she will back out on us. She takes care of my 2 sisters kids daily and I have a funny feeling that she will say that she can't because she has to take care of their kids. So I am worried about getting really invested in this trip just to have to cancel it.

WEll, We are getting close to ADR, and I anm strating to get nervous aobut park hours. Our first trip in Nov 2008 ADR's were at 180 days and park hours were almost amonth behind that. Last november(2009) we still had to sweat it, but not as badly. Here's hoping they will come out close to the 20th like last month!

I have a question......since the rates are out now, I have contacted 2 travel agencies and gotten quotes from them. Same quote, right down to the penny. Then I went to the Disney site myself and got the exact same number.

So let me ask you, what is the benefit in using a travel agent? Or what is the down side in using one? Since it is the same amount, its not costing me anything to use them and would they know about discounts, etc before I would? Like would they have some "secret inside knowledge", LOL??

I'm gonna go ahead and pay my deposit by next week (after I get my plane tickets) but I dont know about using the agent. I have never used one before.

I persnollay don't like doing it with an agent. We did the first trip and I never will agian. You have to go through them to make ANY changes at all, and Disney will give you NO info about an agent owned ressie. It was just not worth the hassle for us when it saves you nothing if you are smart enough to watch for the discounts and call about them yourselves. I did it myself last year, and was much happier about it.

The bad and the good:
No Spring Break discounts yet however these are called fall and winter discounts so hopefully in November we will see a little relief to our March rates...here is to discount watching.

I was sooooo excited yesterday with the rumors that room only rate discounts would be available through March. Just to have my hopes and dreams dashed. Now I have to wait more... Hopefully they will extend soon. Then I can officially announce our travel plans!

Decided to move our trip up one day to March 3rd, and was able to get Free Dining for our stay.

Would have MUCH prefered Room Discount, never used the dining plan and I hate to be tied down to plans!!

We will be going the week of Mardi Gras - March 5-11, staying at CBR. Can't wait It will be the first trip for DH and DS, and the first time DD will go to all four parks. My parents ae also going with us.

I am so mad! I was up at 630 this morning booking my flights from New Orleans and all the cheap fares were SOLD OUT! At 630am!!

I booked but I had to pay $199 for the flight to Orlando instead of the cheaper fare (which was somewhere between 134 and 181)

Also out school system has really cracked down on absences for vacations (specific wording from them). I checked and if I take DD out of school and we go on Friday, we could save $150 in airfare. But do I dare? What if she has a test that day? She will have to take a zero on it. I cant say she is sick cause she doesent want to lie to her teachers and I feel like that would be sending her the wrong message.

I dont know what to do!!!

Well thank goodness I looked at her school schedule!! She is actually out that Friday so we are going Friday 3/4/10 and staying until Wednesday 3/9/11 for $165 less!

Joining you guys in March @ ASMo from 2-9th for my 3rd time but DH, DD(4), DS(2)'s 1st time! I can't wait to go and pray that the weather will be nice and the crowds be low!

I am flying Southwest and I just happened to work my dates to get semi-cheap airfare, or affordable at least. I got it down from 979 for 3 people to 814 for 3 people. I think it was like 144 to go to Orlando and 109 to come back on the 9th.

Two years ago, it was 900.00 for 3 people.

We were undecided about which resort to stay at, but have finally decided it's gonna be AKV Kidani. My father in law is such a animal lovers that being able to see them every day is going to be wonderful for him.
I saw a few posts saying that some of you are flying on southwest airlines. I did not think their flights have been posted yet. If they are, are they on their main site or something different?

We'll be there during our February school vacation week: February 27th - March 6th at Sheraton Vistana Resort. (Visiting family near Tampa from 2/24 - 2/27... 11 days in Florida! )

Less than two weeks until ADRs start... Now if we could just get those park hours...

I got a great deal on airfare Tuesday morning... Southwest $79 each way - $700 for four of us... I've never gotten such a great deal during school vacation weeks! We are flying in and out of Tampa (were planning to fly into Tampa and out of Orlando) but for the great price it works out OK since we'll have a rental car anyways.

Well, I've just been able to change from WL to CSR!!! I wanted to stay at a deluxe resort again but saving almost $1,000 to stay Moderate just makes it hard to justify. An CSR has had no availability since the discounts were announced. Well this morning there was one room that popped up and I grabbed it!!! Love having Queen size beds, Double beds are just to small for tall people.

I am dissapointed with the airfair out of New Orleans. We flew this past July and it cost the 3 of us a little over $500. Now it's up to $750 and that's with a stop in Tennessee instead of direct.

Our dates are March 3 - March 9!!!
