Official JUNE 2008

Amy- don't ya'll have an Academy?- maybe check there in the camping section.

In exactly 2 weeks, at this very moment, I should be on the ME heading to the WL! :goodvibes

Ponchos: We did find the cheap 99 cent ones at Target in a bin in the camping section right under the expensive ones. We also found them in the camping section at Wally in a box on an endcap.

Just got back from Home Depot and couldn't resist picking up a few more LGMHs!!
Trip is coming fast! DD#2 FINALLY found a bathing suit!! Thank goodness! She also sent me the link to the drink picture thread!! YUMMY!! And the DDs are old enough to drink with us this time!!

Hi June Disers, I will be at POP on June 28th-July 5th for my Disneymoon. We didn't think we would be able to honeymoon in Disney, we were just there in March. I didn't think we would be able to get a room or ADRs this late but surprisingly I got an ADR for every day at my first choice restaurants and at the times I wanted except for July 4th but I was able to get Liberty Tree Tavern so I am not complaining. I have visited on the 4th of July week before and remember it being very hot and very crowded but who cares I am getting my Disney Honeymoon!

I just found this thread. We are heading down June 11-18 for our first "extended" stay. In November of 2003 we had a day at the Magic Kingdom with our boys (they were 3 at the time) and our mission was to meet Buzz Lightyear. We had rented an RV and stayed overnight at Fort Wilderness while in Florida on family business. This year we'll have five days to explore the parks. Our boys, now 7 (almost 8) are so excited they ask every day "How long until we go?" Their birthday is June 26th so we are treating this like a birthday getaway.

I can't wait!

Duh. I am feeling a little foolish now.

LOL Don't feel foolish! I'm just jealous we don't have one in this little podunk town! (or anything else for that matter! If we can't get it at Wallyworld, it pretty well can't be gotten in Bay City!)

I haven't been to Disney World since I was a little girl back in 1974. The Magic Kingdom was all there was and that was plenty for this little girl.

This year will be my little Snow White's first time! I cannot wait to see the many expressions of excitement on her face and hear all her ooos and awwws.

We are coming from PA and will be there from June 16th-19th.

I will be making my own ooos and awws as most of the park will be new to me. While making my reservations through Disney the person on the phone explained that at each park we visit we can each receive a pin for our first visit to that park (only Snow White can receive the MK pin as the rest of us were there way back when.) Still it is exciting! I even purchased pins on line so we can trade and such.

I read somewhere on here people from this forum will be wearing Green Frogs or something to signify they are with this group. How can I get more information on this? I am always happy to make new friends while traveling.

Ittinerary so far...

We only have 3 nights and 4 days so I figured why not just go with the one park one day tickets. NO way will we be able to do more than one park per day. My hat is off to any of you who do.

June 16th Arrive at CBR around lunch time. Toss bags and such in baggage room if our room is not ready then RUSH out to AK.

Find the first shop I see when I walk through the gates and purchase a Pal Mickey
Pop in somewhere at AK for lunch
Whildlife Express Train
Boat
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Festival of the Lion King
Pocahontas & her Forest Friends
Dinner at Tusker House Resturant at 6:30

June 17th MK all Day! I hope we can do all that we want in one day. If not we might return on the last day.

Breakfast in room
Take advantage of EMHs
Rush to the train to get to Toontown then run to Dumbo ride as I heard there is no Fast Pass and the line is always LONG
Cinderella's castle! (I also want to check out the water fountain with the special hidden element)
Country Bear Jamboree
Donalds Boat
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Jungle Cruise
Liberty Square Riverboat
Mad Tea Party (will grab Fast pass on our run to Dumbo)
Mickey's PhlharMagic

Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
Lunch somewhere along the way

Dinner at Tony's Town Square at 7:30

Is it feesible to do all of this in one day?

June 18th - Epcot
Breakfast in room

Test Track
Soarin! Cannot wait to experience this!

Dinner at Rose & Crown (hope they have Mince Pies! Did not see it on the menu though)
Watch Iliminations

June 19th - Wing It.

If we didn't do all we wanted at the other parks we will go back to one. OR we could check out Hollywood Studios but didn't see much on the list that would interest all of us. I do think everyone would enjoy the new Toy Story attraction I read about today. High School Musical might not do their thing while we are there. :-(

Anyone else going to dinner on the same days and times? Would love to say Hello!

Well that really is the pits. At least the airlines allows you to keep them for one year after you cancel the trip. If you can't fly and end up driving, maybe you can plan another trip to WDW later this year!:yay: That is if DH's fear subsides. Did the airlines say if you could transfer the tickets into another person's name? If you can, then perhaps you could sell them to someone.

They say they are non-transferable so I guess that means I can't sell them. I thought I would be able to, see people selling tickets on ebay all the time???? Well, you live and you learn. At first I had decided to go along with him cause he really hates us going. Anything to keep the peace you know. Now I'm thinking I might slowly and gently try to convince him that flying is better since we can't get our money back anyway. And because that would mean an additional 4 days we'd be gone since we break it into 2 days getting there and 2 back. Just really hate to fight about it.
Amyz00 let us know if there are any cheap ponchos at Academy and I'll run get us some too.

That is exciting, hope your litte one has a great first trip. My cousin is taking her youngest 2 for the first time in December. Her 9 year old is going for her 2nd time with us in 16 days and I can't wait. We are going to get the first time buttons to take back to the little ones. BTW, they are all the same,no matter which park or resort you go to and you can get them at your resort when you check in instead of having to wait in line at the park.

I haven't even tried pin trading yet, not sure I would want to part with my pins. I haven't heard about the green frogs, but I have gotten the Lime Green Mickey Head Paint Chips at Home Depot and hopefully I will get some made for my back pack before we leave on June 7th.

:welcome:
They are not green frogs but lime green Mickey head paint sample cards that you get from Home Depot. I think the official color is alien green. People put them on their back packs, purses etc. And some even on the doors of their hotel rooms.
Make sure you check out the 2 Pa. threads over on the community boards. Lots of nice people on them. Where are you from? I am originally from Reading.
Hope you have a great trip!
