Official JUNE 2008

I'll be celebrating my birthday :cake: party: :bday: while we are at Disney World. (What a great place to celebrate!!) What can you tell me about getting a Birthday Pin? I think it will be a GREAT souvenir!!! Are they all the same wherever you get them?

When you enter the park just go to Guest Services (I think that is what they call it). Tell the Cast Member that it is your birthday and wallah! You have a birthday pin. Cast Members and even other guests will be telling you Happy Birthday all day! This is what the person said when I was making our reservations. You can do the same thing if it is your First Trip to the parks!

It really is a Wonderful World!

:welcome:
They are not green frogs but lime green Mickey head paint sample cards that you get from Home Depot. I think the official color is alien green. People put them on their back packs, purses etc. And some even on the doors of their hotel rooms.
Make sure you check out the 2 Pa. threads over on the community boards. Lots of nice people on them. Where are you from? I am originally from Reading.
Hope you have a great trip!

We just moved near Harrisburg. This is a change for us...country living. I have a cousin from Scotland moving to Reading sometime this year! I have never been to Reading.

I will have to find out where the nearest Home Depot is and grab a bunch! If you see me at WDW I will give you one with my Screen Name so after the wirl wind of the trip you will remember who it was :-)

I stumbled upon this forum during my lunch hour today and haven't really explored much. Not sure how to get to the 2 Pa threads. I consider myself very lucky to have found this one again!

I got our ponchos at Academy. I actually found a rain jacket for my DD7 that folds up and fits in one of the pockets of the jackets and makes a little pouch. It was marked 9.99 on sale for 4.99 but rang up at 3.00!

We will be there June 16-23rd and staying at Old Key West! :woohoo: :woohoo:

We're staying at OKW too, June 15 - 20. I bought lime green crocs and plan on wearing them a lot. I also plan on decorating our window with lots of LGMH as well as a few other colors. ;)

Hey everyone, I know we said something before but since some of you are getting ready to leave soon I wanted to remind everyone to make sure you give us a full trip report when you return. I mean I want details, pictures of everything including Food porn...:rotfl2: .
Everyone leaving soon...HAVE A GREAT TRIP! :cheer2:

I just bought rain ponchos at the Dollar Tree. Sure they are not very sturdy. But for 2 for $1.00 I bought a bunch and I will just throw them out. They do come in different colors!

I don't love taking off and landing but I do love getting from one place to another without the car. I too wanted to drive this year (we did it once in 2004) just to save some money, but my husband is not big in to long trips. It really is safe. Even though crashes can often be fatal in airplanes they rarely, rarely happen.

Since you initially decided to fly, I would definitely not waste all that money. I have cancelled two flights already for my daughter and one I will just eat, because it was only $128.00 and it is $100.00 to rebook it! The other one I can hopefully use before July! The thing is the initial person has to use it within 1 year!

Only 9 more days for us--cannot believe it!

LOL Don't feel foolish! I'm just jealous we don't have one in this little podunk town! (or anything else for that matter! If we can't get it at Wallyworld, it pretty well can't be gotten in Bay City!)

I used to feel that way about College Station but fortunately it has finally grown! Oh, and I tried another Wal-Mart and found them for .88! :thumbsup2

Amyz00 let us know if there are any cheap ponchos at Academy and I'll run get us some too.

I ended up going to the Wal-Mart in College Station and found them in the camping isle. They are very plain - see through - but that's fine with me. They were really cheap; only .88 a piece. Lovetotravel stated that they have them at Dollar Tree so you might want to check one of those out. I think that there is one on Booneville. Or is that Dollar General? :confused3

What "style" are your lime green crocs? I need to find me some. Maybe someone has them on sale. I have been spending a little too much lately. I wonder if President Bush would mind sending me another stimulus check? I promise that I will spend it fast! :rotfl:

Maybe I will check and see if I can find them. Two for $1.00 is a better bargain. My girls would love pink and Cinderella blue ponchos, but I told them that I not spending $15 for a "cute" one. I would rather spend that money in WDW!

I can't believe that you are leaving in 9 days! :cheer2: As Mudd said, we will be waiting for a detailed trip report! ;)

Have you seen the "Drunk Disney" thread? :drinking1 That's what DD#2 called it.:rotfl: I get thirsty just looking at the yummy drinks I will be trying!
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1183926

:lmao: I would say that she's right! But I must include myself as a Drunk Diser because so many of these look soooo good! :thumbsup2 And did you get a look at those cactus margaritas? Those things are huge! If I had one of those I would be flying without the magic carpet ride! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the thread. I am going to share it with DH. I told him that we have to stop at the English pub this time when in Epcot. They have my favorite Irish beer, Harps, there. :drinking1

Exactly 3 weeks from now I will be freaking out with my packing last minute items :lmao: It seems like it has taken forever to get here! I need a vacation to recharge my battery for work. Boss said he can tell I've been stress out lately. I work where we get extremely busy during the spring and summer, it started in March and hasn't let up yet. I need this vacation ;)

3 weeks from today, I will have the Wagon Queen Family Truckster pointed in the direction of WDW. I've already put Holiday Road and Dancing Across the USA on a cd. I love that movie, but I hope my trip doesn't turn out like that.
