Official JUNE 2008

We're flying from San Francisco and our flight is at 7:50am, arriving at MCO at 5:30pm. I think we'll be at the airport around 6am..so, probably get up around 5:00am

And I thought 12 hours was to far drive :lmao: Hope we get a chance to meet in June Amy :yay:

Me, too! There will be so many of us there around the same time. Perhaps we need to do a DIS meet. Has anyone ever done that before? I plan on keeping my eyes open for LGMHs, so everyone have theirs on! :magnify:

Doin' the under 20 day happy dance. My widget says 19 days, 12 hours and 50minutes!!!!
        That's until my 7AM flight. Knowing my DH we will probably leave from home around 4AM!!!That's Ok since I will be "Too excited to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep!"

Ours is about a 14ish hour drive and dh can't check out on leave until noon, so we will leave as soon as he gets off the puter then drive till about SC. Stop at a hotel for the night and play in the pool. Then the next day we will head to Orlando and stay that night with my best friend who lives there.
THEN we will finally check in on the 14th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

so what time in the morning is everyone planning on leaving or getting up in the morning of DISNEY TRIP DAY? We are 15 hrs away so we are leaving the day before around 4am and make it a two day trip.:cool1:

Our flight leaves at 8am. We're spending the night before at a airport hotel. figured I get up at my normal time 5:30am. Should be at OKW by 11am, then off to the parks  DH is leaving at 3am and should be there by 4p.

Our flight leaves at 8:50 am and we are about 20 minutes from the airport. The limo is picking us up at 6:15 am--I guess it will take about 15 minutes to get out of the driveway. 18 days:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Our flight leaves at noon, so probably leave about 8am to get across the border. I will be to excited to sleep though so will be ready a lot earlier than that! :goodvibes

All this talk about what time everyone is leaving makes it sound as if tomorrow is the big day! Then reality slaps me back into the real world  and I realize that there are still 24 more days until we get to leave. :sad2:

Question to all: where is the cheapest place to buy rain ponchos? Walgreens had them for around $10-12 a piece. I counldn't find any at Target or Wal-Mart. Any other suggestions? I would prefer to purchase ones that will last more than one day and possibly some that come in different colors. That way it will be easier for all of us to know which kid is which!

Thank you for the with good luck wishes but it looks like I'm sunk. There is no refund. I can cancel and then I can use them for 1 year from the time I booked them which was back in January. Theres no charge to cancel but if I make new reservations it will be 100.00 charge per ticket and they are non-transferable. Big problem is we never fly anywhere so I've just lost that money! Maybe I can convince DH that flying really is ok.

I am sorry your H had a nightmare like that, maybe he will calm down after a couple of days especially when he sees how much money this change will cost you.

I wish you luck, we will be there in 24 days :yay:.

We have a 7:30am flight on the 9th to Tampa and if all goes well house hunting, we can drive over to Orlando early on the 13th! JUNE'S almost here!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

We are on a 7:30am flight out of JFK NY. We should be at MCO by 10:30am and at the BW by 12-12:30pm the latest!

Well that really is the pits. At least the airlines allows you to keep them for one year after you cancel the trip. If you can't fly and end up driving, maybe you can plan another trip to WDW later this year!:yay: That is if DH's fear subsides. Did the airlines say if you could transfer the tickets into another person's name? If you can, then perhaps you could sell them to someone.

Everyone leaving today have a safe and magical trip.:goodvibes I wish ours would hurry up already LOL:rotfl:

I didn't find any ponchos at Target--only really heavy ones in the camping section. If you go to Wal-Mart, look in the "Accessories" section--purses, beach bags, umbrellas. I have been to three different stores and they were all in the same place. They are in little carrying bags and are very lightweight. I also found some at my local dollar store, but I think that is "hit or miss" and I don't have time to run around the world looking for things--too close to leaving!

Look in the camping section at WalMart. I've been picking them up there for 87 cents each.

Our flight leaves around 3:30 in the afternoon on the 14th and we land in Orlando at 5:30. We drove down one year, and while it was fun, if we can swing cheaper airfare it's easier to spend two hours in the air vs 14 in the car!

Amy - I found decent, cheap raingear at Walmart back in the sporting goods section as well. You could also check Kmart if there is one near you.

We should all post our itineraries to see if our paths will cross at all while we're in the "world"!

Amy, they are cheaper than that at WDW...and they are clear with a picture of Mickey on the back. I love them (even though I can't wear them because I am allergic to plastic...lucky me huh) but I love them becasue they are clear and I can see who is who under them. I think we bought ours a couple years back and we still have them...really good heavy duty. Thinking we only paid like $5 each for them. They come in adult and kid sizes.

Thanks everyone for the info about the ponchos/rain gear. If I don't find any that I like here, I will buy them at WDW.:thumbsup2

Wow, I can't believe that we only have 23 days left until we leave!

Kristibell, good idea - there will be plenty of us around!
