We've got a reservation at WCC for FD lunch. My son is working on a Mr. Incredible t shirt design for Dad to wear that day. It says something like, "One Incredible Dad". We'll be spending the day at AK...

Can't wait!!!!

Those are the same shirts I am doing. Well maybe not the same but similar I guess. and we will also be at AK that day. HUMMMM, are we related? lol.

we are driving from Alvin, south of houston, on the 7th and staying at the port orl/ riverside.

You aren't too far from us! I just calculated that our drive, to and from WDW, will cost us around $550. Though it may sound horrendous, it is still a lot cheaper than what it would cost for us to fly. Southwest, even with their current "cheap" flight promotion, would still cost us around $1500 to fly out of Hobby. I'll take the overnight drive, thanks!

Major change in plans!!! DH has decided its not a good idea to fly and now wants us to drive. Oh, did I mention that he's not even going with us much less that the tickets are already bought and paid for! Now I'm going crazy trying to find out what continentals refund policy is. I've looked on their website and can't find it and their phone line is only open until 4 central time. So, I guess its a road trip after all. I just sure hope I can at least get part of the money back on the tickets. It was for 6 people so its no small change. Anyone else ever had to cancel a flight? And, no I didn't buy trip insurance. I guess on the bright side we're still going to get there just not as fast as I'd hoped and maybe a little poorer.

Look and see what class of ticket you purchased. If you bought a cheaper ticket, they are usually not refundable, but for a fee they will often let you use the tickets another time. Good luck!

Well I am sorry to hear about that. Is he afraid to let you fly? I hope that you can get some money back or at least talk DH into letting you fly if they won't refund the money. I wish that we could fly when we go but it is too expensive; we can drive for a third of what it would have cost us to fly.

He had a nightmare about a plane crashing into the ocean and it really freaked him out. I'm trying not to give him a hard time cause he really is honestly worried. I just wish it wasn't giving our bank account such a hard time. And I was sooo worried about going through houston. It was terrible last time in the rain and road construction! Wish me luck tomorrow when I call Continental. Maybe they'll take pity on me.

My DH refuses to fly too DD and I fly and he drives. This will probably be the last time we fly though with gas prices going sky high Good luck with Continental

All I can say is thank goodness I bought our plane tix back in Aug when they were dirt cheap! I got our seats for $220 a person, just looked today and they are $958 a person!

so what time in the morning is everyone planning on leaving or getting up in the morning of DISNEY TRIP DAY? We are 15 hrs away so we are leaving the day before around 4am and make it a two day trip.

Our flight is at 7:50 am, we plan to be at the airport around 6ish (DH thinks that anyways), so we will probably start getting ready about 4:30-4:45am. I have a hotel booked 5 min from CVG.

Our flight is at 11:30 and we are an hour away from the airport. We will probably leave about 9 I guess.

We are planning to leave about 5:30am. It is about a 6 hours drive for us, so we will arrive about lunch time

We will actucally leave Thursday after work...I assume we will hit the road around 5 pm. My husband will drive for a few hours or so and then I will take over and drive until I get tired...Last time I drove until about 2 am. Grab a room for the night (what is left of it) and be back on the road by 7 am and be either in Orlando or Cocoa (haven't decided if were going to do a beach for the day or just run around Orlando for the day yet then we will grab a room that night and then be at ASMusic by early Saturday Monring to check in and hit the parks. First stop...DHS for Toy Story mania & SWW.
