~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

has anyone had a problem with online check in? we check in on the 12th, we're within the 10 days and it's saying my reservation isn't available.

I really hope that you enjoy your first visit!

Thank you! It definitely will not be our last, since we bought DVC last year. We plan to alternate each year with Aulani and WDW. Eventually I will be to the point like the rest of you where I have favorites and helpful advice!

I really would like to make it to Aulani when the kids get a little older. We have thought about buying into DVC many times, but we really need to sell our house and get a bigger one first. Hopefully, it will be in our future.

We leave tonight at midnight EST. :)

I am making some final preparations, the I will attempt to get 4 hours of sleep before we start our drive.

What gives me that magical feeling is being in WDW completely shut off from the outside world. My only worry is how will I end my night. Wishes? Illuminations? Fantasmic? Dip in the pool?

Have a fantastic time and safe travels!

I've never done the welcome show!! What is it like and what time does it begin??:confused3

8 MORE DAYS!!! :yay:

It's at the very front of MK. There is a master of ceremony that welcomes everyone and then a cast of dancers and singers come out and sings the welcome song and then Mickey and the whole gang with Princesses rides in on the train. Everyone gets out and does the count down to open MK.

Then - it's like 10,000 mice going through each gate after ONE piece of cheese placed at the foot of the castle.

I will say, HOLD on to your children and never let go. They could get trampled on.. I've seen a DAD run right over his Son at HS once and then it started a chain reaction. The poor boy was run over by at least 25 people before the DAD was able to get him out of the path of people running for the favorite rides.

Sorry, I would get to the entrance of MK 30 to 45 minutes before they open.

I am not trying to alarm you but I would call WDW reservation to make sure everything is ok.

It could be because a lot of people are on the site right now.

We'll be wheels up in 11 hours. The anticipation is killing me. Isn't it wonderful?

I tried again about an hour ago and it's finally gone through. i even printed out the confirmation. Although it was funny. one of the adults in our party was listed as an infant, so monday ill have to call and get that taken care of so we're not short a room key upon check in.

Am I crazy? :rotfl2: I just took over the October 2013 thread today. I love running threads, but I have been trying to catch up with things today and I keep typing July for everything in the October section. Ahh! But it's fun and makes the countdown to trips so much faster. :goodvibes

My things have disappeared so many times from the website. I started calling every time there was something missing, but it was always there by phone so I just gave up worrying. One day Disney will figure out all the glitches to their system.

It's in the High 90s with 75% humidity here (MA) for the next few days. Feel like temps will reach 100 or at least close to 100. So my body will at least be acclimated to hot weather for this trip. On other trip we go when it's much cooler and my body has a hard time adjusting to the heat. I plan on taking a short walk today to get "ready" LOL!! Less than a week :dance3:

I am from Mass too, and when it got hot this week...I gave my DD's a big Cheshire grin and told them this will help us get ready for Disney:dance3: even the heatwave made me happy because I felt it helped me to feel closer to our trip and my happy place...again pathetic but true. :lmao:

You are all good. Everything and Anything reminds me of Disney now. I am ready to get to the World. :rotfl2:

Wow! That sounds great and intense at the same time!! We've never been to rope drop - except 1 time at HS. We HAVE to ride TSM!!!::yes::
Maybe we'll try to do rope drop at MK during this trip.
IF we can get little ones moving that early in the morning! LOL
:yay:

I told my daughter that this heat is getting us ready for Disney!!
:cool1:
I'm ready for all of it!!:yay:

I'm flying my nephews out from San Francisco and bringing them to Disney.
They've never been- except for a 1 dayer at Epcot- so they're very excited.
My little grandaughters are 7 and 4 and LOVE my nephews.
We've had them out every summer for the past 11 years for 2 weeks of non-stop fun-so the girls think of them like brothers. :lovestruc They're almost 15 and 13.
The girls don't know about any of it.
Shaelyn is 7 and has lost 3 teeth recently. She looks like a hockey player! LOL
She gave me all her money and asked me to send it to "the boys" so they can come out to visit. ;)
We've been skyping every couple of days and it's been SOO hard not to slip up!!
I can't wait to see Shae and Briella's faces when I get home from picking them up at the airport on Wed. night!
And then on Friday- we're having "the big reveal."" pixiedust:
It's hard to sleep! :rotfl2:
