I will be happy to share my answer after my first visit! 14 days!
I really hope that you enjoy your first visit!
Thank you! It definitely will not be our last, since we bought DVC last year. We plan to alternate each year with Aulani and WDW. Eventually I will be to the point like the rest of you where I have favorites and helpful advice!
We leave tonight at midnight EST.
I am making some final preparations, the I will attempt to get 4 hours of sleep before we start our drive.
What gives me that magical feeling is being in WDW completely shut off from the outside world. My only worry is how will I end my night. Wishes? Illuminations? Fantasmic? Dip in the pool?
The Welcome Show before opening at MK.![]()
I've never done the welcome show!! What is it like and what time does it begin??
8 MORE DAYS!!!![]()
has anyone had a problem with online check in? we check in on the 12th, we're within the 10 days and it's saying my reservation isn't available.
I am not trying to alarm you but I would call WDW reservation to make sure everything is ok.
It could be because a lot of people are on the site right now.
To pass the time... QOTD: What at Disney gives you that truly magical feeling?
We'll be wheels up in 11 hours. The anticipation is killing me. Isn't it wonderful?
I tried again about an hour ago and it's finally gone through. i even printed out the confirmation. Although it was funny. one of the adults in our party was listed as an infant, so monday ill have to call and get that taken care of so we're not short a room key upon check in.
It's in the High 90s with 75% humidity here (MA) for the next few days. Feel like temps will reach 100 or at least close to 100. So my body will at least be acclimated to hot weather for this trip. On other trip we go when it's much cooler and my body has a hard time adjusting to the heat. I plan on taking a short walk today to get "ready" LOL!! Less than a week![]()

Am I crazy?I just took over the October 2013 thread today. I love running threads, but I have been trying to catch up with things today and I keep typing July for everything in the October section. Ahh! But it's fun and makes the countdown to trips so much faster.

I am from Mass too, and when it got hot this week...I gave my DD's a big Cheshire grin and told them this will help us get ready for Disneyeven the heatwave made me happy because I felt it helped me to feel closer to our trip and my happy place...again pathetic but true.

It's at the very front of MK. There is a master of ceremony that welcomes everyone and then a cast of dancers and singers come out and sings the welcome song and then Mickey and the whole gang with Princesses rides in on the train. Everyone gets out and does the count down to open MK.
Then - it's like 10,000 mice going through each gate after ONE piece of cheese placed at the foot of the castle.
I will say, HOLD on to your children and never let go. They could get trampled on.. I've seen a DAD run right over his Son at HS once and then it started a chain reaction. The poor boy was run over by at least 25 people before the DAD was able to get him out of the path of people running for the favorite rides.
Sorry, I would get to the entrance of MK 30 to 45 minutes before they open.
