I don't know why I thought to try today but I did and got the Tusker House for the date that I wanted! I'm not sure why I wasn't able to before but yay!

I'm not one of the Be Our Guesters but my friend who is going the week before me tried for 4 hours yesterday and finally got through and got a reservation. He is so excited! I want to eat at the quick service (Gaston's Tavern?) so one less ADR to stress about

Now.... just need to worry about a million other things (first time traveling with a toddler!)

I tried today, too, and was able to get in! I'm not sure if it was a system issue or people cancelling, but either way I'm happy!

I have a change to our trip.... It has been officially killed by wrestling and my DH's refusal of taking a vacation during wrestling season. Thanks to lot of tears over having to cancel the birthday trip, the DH did agree to let me move the trip to June 2013. It looks like we'll be doing a week at WDW and then 2-3 days at Pensacola Beach.

Kim, I am sorry you won't be going in January but June sounds great with warmer weather and you still get to go sometime next year...

The DH doesn't really get excited about WDW, especially after this last one. Most of the problem was that he kept forcing the boys on rides they didn't want to go on. I keep telling him that it will be better if he doesn't do that. I'll make them stand in line with us, but then they'll take the chicken exit on certain rides.

That's what I'm hoping for. We didn't really do any of the SWW stuff on this last trip, but I told the DH that we would this time. The boys get out of school on June 7th, so we'll probably do like we did this last June. While the DS's are at school, we'll load the MV. As soon as they get off the buss, they'll come in long enough for a potty break and to put their stuff up. Then we'll leave and head toward WDW. Unless the DH wants to stop by and see his cousin again like we did this last time.

I sure wish they would come out with the Jan. Promos. It is kiling me to not be able to start making payments on my trip.

I did get my BOG ressie for the day and time I wanted, so that was exciting. And I am starting to put together my boys custom ideas for our trip. Going to make Finding Nemo shirts this week for them to wear to the movie in Sept. SO excited. THen I have disney on ice in Oct. to hold me over too.

I was thinking about staying one more day, but unfortunately, we already bought our plane tickets and it would cost $200 to change them. Boooooooo.

I love EIR! Rented a huge house there in 2010. So close to everything!

We love it too!! This will be the third time I've stayed there. Twice in townhouses and in 2010 we also rented a huge house (7 bedroom 5 1/2 bath) for 11 of us and it was awesome!

We rented a 7 br also - we were a party of 10 including my parents and in-laws. We could see the fireworks from our pool each night. If I ever travel with extended family again we'll definitely go back to EIR

YAY!! I'm glad you got TH!! Maybe someone gave up their TH ressies b/c they decided to do BOG instead!

I remember 1st time traveling with toddler to Disney, too. My best advice is to just take it easy. You may not see a lot but you'll all be happier. Also, make sure you always have your "extras" when in the park.

I would make a list the night before and try to pack or arrange whatever I could that evening so it was less hectic in the morning -- diapers, rash creme, extra outfits, blankets, jacket, snacks, drinks, etc.

Crowds will be big at the beginning of the month (10s) but about every 2 days it goes down to 8s, then 6-5s. So you should see similar crowds to summer and spring break or even a little less by the end of the week.
