Yea MCM. Great race, see you there. Can't believe how fast it sold out this year. I registered at like 9:55am and got confirmation number 17000 or so.

Doing a full in the fall and Disney in January actually makes Disney more relaxing IMO. As long as you keep moving following the marathon, take some time off and get in a few good runs you'll be all set for Disney come January.

How were you able to book the Pop? I couldn't get the Disney site to accept dates after 12/31/11.

Booked with a TA that is a Disney specialist. I think I paid a deposit of one night rack rate 2011 price. I hope that I get a deal with AP or other.

I keep getting info from HRC about running in one of the slots they have for the MCM, and I'm tempted. Gotta say...the idea of running a military marathon for a gorup that works for LGBT rights really turns me on - sort of a "Yeah! In your face!" kind of thing.

So I don't know. I guess I keep hoping their slots will fill up and I won't have to make the decision.

One of the reasons that I picked MCM is that it allows you to defer your entry. So, on the off chance the NYC lottery comes through or I decide to wait for Disney as my first, I can run MCM next year without losing my spot.

I bet you could use it, It's not a unique code for each person. Here is what my email said:

OR you can just call central reservations. All you can get this far out is the rack rate. You will need to re-reserve at the seasonal rate once they are published in August. Reserving this early preserves a room at your choice location.

If Disney runs a discount, do they typically cut them off early, or do we think they'll run it all the way through May 15? My budget is a little tight this month (hello, trip to France and Disneyland Paris!).

It's the first time they offered an early entry tiered discount. Thinking a two month, four month then late entries but will know more on the 15th.

I do not think they will pull back the number of Goofy spots in the race so do not expect it to fill quickly. Last year I think it was forced closed. I do believe that entries will fill faster this year due to the 15th anniversary of the half. No word on a special medal...but if one is announced you should keep a close eye on the web page. Saying all that, you should be safe through June

You understand that the Goofy fee COVERS both the full and half, right?
