Ok- I have combed through the thread as best I can, and I want opinions and suggestions....My DD's 5th birthday is Feb. 21st (President's Day). We are there for 7 days, and here are the ADRs we have going on where I could do her cake:
2/18- 1900 Park Fare Dinner
2/20- Akershus (Lunch)
2/20- Yachtsman Steakhouse (Dinner)
-Right after dinner, we are taking an Illuminations Cruise- cake on the boat?
2/21- CRT (Lunch) (Actually her B-Day- was going to do slipper dessert maybe?)
2/21- Ohana (Dinner)
So, when would YOU do a cake?
Park Fare I can get a cake from GF, but it's 3 days before her b-day. Maybe a mini-wedding cake?
Akershus I could do Boardwalk Bakery and make my husband go get it, lol.
Yachtsman- we are on the Dining Plan so we already get Dessert, but it sounds like the chefs there do a great job-- day before her b-day. We could also get one from there and take it with or have it delivered to the Marina (only food from Yacht Club Private Dining can be brought on the boat). Sounds like that might be lovely to have cake on the cruise...
CRT I could work something out w/ the CR, but I don't really want to pay that delivery fee. I think that the Slipper will be ok here...
Ohana- I already called Poly Private Dining and there are VERY few options there other than the basic round cakes and the mickey head. No other options at all. The Mickey Head Cake looks like the best bet, if we were to have it here.
There are only 5 of us, and I would like to spend less than $100, but still have some 'Wow' factor.
Based on those options, what would you all suggest?
