Can someone please remind me.... If I order the cake for delivery to Narcoossee's, will I be able to apply a TIW discount toward it? Thanks!

You call Y&B private dining for either option.Hello all! I've read the whole thread and there have been some really wonderful cakes out there! We'll be celebrating my husband's birthday on our late January trip and I'm thinking of surprising him with a cake. The best times will either be at breakfast at Captain's Grille or having it delivered to our room while we're out. We'll be having dinner at Flying Fish, but it's likely we'll hit Jellyroll's after that. We're staying at the Yacht Club, so I think either breakfast or in-room delivery would work, but would I call Yacht/Beach private dining for both? Or would I call the cake hotline for Captain's Grill? I'm interested in a 6 or 8 inch Star Wars themed cake (there will be 5 adults in our party and we're fine with leftovers). Chocolate buttercream or Ganache. Maybe a 2D image on top with lighting effects if possible. Suggestions on which route to go and which number to call are greatly appreciated!

I am taking my 82 year old mother to Disney in early December to see the lights and decorations, staying at BC. Her birthday is during our visit, so I wanted to order a 2-tier mini cake to surprise her. I wanted to have it delivered to our room or during dinner at Narcoosees. I first called the BC to get a price on the mini cake I had in mind and was told the mini cakes are $40, and they asked me to email photos & instructions. I asked for almond flavor cake and she didn't know if they could do that, but would check. I got a call back last night with the quote. I had told them I wanted a 2-tier miniature wedding cake (almond or vanilla flavor cake with raspberry fruit mousse filling, with white buttercream icing, accented in Christmas red & green Mickey ears. Attached is a photo. I also asked them to add holly berries or a holly leaf in icing at the bottom of the cake on the plate to make it more Christmassy. The quote was $50 for the cake, plus tax and gratuity, for a grand total of $65.45. I didn't question the price because they called at an inconvenient time, but now I'm debating whether to spend that much for a mini cake. I guess I wasn't prepared for the extra charges, plus I thought the mini cakes were $35. Do you think I would get a better price having the cake delivered at Narcoosees and using the GF instead of using BC dining? What do you think about this price quote for a mini cake?

So I ordered a cake to be delivered to BOG in a couple weeks. The process couldn't have been easier. I sent an email to the magic kingdom address with all the specifics I wanted on Wednesday night. I heard back from someone, I believe her name is Amy, yesterday saying she sent my email to the bakery and was waiting to hear back from them on price, ect. Received a second email this morning stating they could do what I wanted but it needed to be on an 8in (I asked for a 6in with the mickey and minnie ear hats on top), price quote $106. I sent her one back saying that was fine, how do I order. And I received one back stating she placed the order and attached it to my confirmation number at BOG and I was all set. So easy! Now I'm hoping it looks great. $106 was more than what I was hoping to spend but it's for my parents 40th anniversary. I didn't ask for anything too fancy, just the heads and red and white flowers on the top and piped mickeys on the side. I'll report back after our trip how it was.
Just ordered my son's cake for his birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Left a message for Pat this morning and she called back this evening. This is our 4th cake we have ordered from her over the years and we have never had an issue and they have always turned out great. We are getting a 6 inch cute white yeti themed cake. I'll post pictures when we get back.Cross your fingers that our luck continues!!
I also sent an email to the Magic Kingdom cake department for a mini-cake for our reservation at BOG on the 26th. I haven't heard back from them yet with any details as to price. We are going with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse filling, and chocolate buttercream frosting. We went with the Minnie princess ears, but asked for red instead of pink. I'll let you know what I hear back.
I had also wondered whether they would do a sculpted face or screen print, but Chef Brian assured me they could make the sculpted face!WOW! I sent the Contemporary a photo of that exact cake last year, and Chef Donald said they weren't allowed to sculpt character faces due to copyright restrictions. I guess I shoulda gotten a second opinion from Chef Brian...
Just ordered a mini cake for our 10th anniversary at Narcooses. I got a two tier vanilla cake with strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream icing. I asked to have scroll work around the cake and Mickey and Minnie ears on top. The ears were $5 more each. It's supposed to have "10 years and we still do" written on it. Hope it turns out as good as it sounds to me. She said total was $45 and didn't need a credit card number??? She did ask for my name, time, and date if reservation and said it would be attached to our reservation. Does this sound typical??
