Official Dancing With the Stars: Spring 2016

I have watched this show since its premiere. I don't like the effects that are added to the dancing which were not used in earlier seasons. Some of it obscures the dance steps (fog or lighting) and some of it makes it difficult to concentrate on the actual couple as opposed to backup dancers.

The show has moved so far away from showing "stars" learning actual dance steps and is now just mostly free style moves with a couple of ballroom steps thrown in. I still watch but usually am doing something else and half listening. Sometimes I even forget to watch the dance.

I found Tuesday's show to be anti-climatic. It seems like the final dances were more an after thought to the show than the reason for it. I agree with another poster that the time management skills suck. We need less of the chit chat in between and more of talking with the winners and runner ups.

I know I am very late to the party but just wanted to add my opinion that I was soooo happy it wasn't Ginger. So sick of her,her husband, all of Good Morning America. It was so evident to me that they really wanted her to win. She had so much publicity it was annoying. I wanted Paige but was very happy Nyles won. As a dancer myself Ginger just was not that great . There were so many others who were better. This is just my humble opinion but I think they wanted her to "help" the pathetic ratings of GMC. Also adding Michael Stahand (I know probably bad spelling) isn't going to do it either. I expect to see him on DWTS next season. Well anyway thanks for letting me vent. Next time I will get to the party on time! LOL!!

Did anyone notice Ginger correct Bruno when he called her a weather girl after their fusion. It was kinda hard to catch but he called her weather girl...she said meteorologist....ok fine we know but really???

First of all I am not a Ginger fan and did not vote for her. She had every right to correct Bruno, when I think of a weather girl I think of someone that reads a script and points at a map. Ginger has earned the right to be called a meteorologist she has a college degree in the subject. Plus she interned under one of the most prestigious meteorologist in the US. She should be respected as a scientist.

Just finished watching the finale. Hated Erin's weird dress and Carrie Ann's hair. I was so glad Ginger came in third, would've been mad if she came in first or second. I wish Wanya woukd've made the finals...until September

Perhaps Bruno meant no disrespect, but honestly, can you imagine your local news meteorologist being referred to as a "weather boy" or even "weather man"? There is a very big difference between a pretty girl reading the weather and a meteorologist. Weather girl makes it sound like she's Vanna White turning letters.

Yup, I'm in the weatherman category. Not trying to belittle someone, but at the same time it's just what we grew up with. Yes, I understand there is more school that goes into it and hard work, but it's just what we say.

Okay, I'll admit, I didn't really get all of the shade being thrown on Ginger. She seemed pleasant enough and an okay dancer, and she is kind of the hometown girl for us. That is, until I recorded GMA on Wednesday. One day of it was quite enough for me. I tuned in to see the WINNERS, but it was a huge Ginger show before that. I would have never made it all season. I am so thrilled that Nyle won, I wish more people would have such an infectious great attitude like his! We needed more Jodie on finale night as well! The football players sure got a lot of extra air time.

FWIW, "Weather Girl" has a traditionally worse connotation than "Weather Man" IMO. When I think of a "Weather Girl" I think of someone who is pretty and just stands up in front of the green screen and I don't think the same about a "Weather Man". The mere gender and adult verbiage (Man v/s Girl) gives the male person more respect and regard. I don't blame Ginger for correcting Bruno.

I watched a portion of gma after the finale on YouTube. Firstly, no one apparently knows how to talk through an interpreter. Peta got more time than nyle. But secondly, I though it was weird after they interviewed peta they immediately started asking ginger questions. I guess I thought they'd go to the second place winner next, but paige only started talking cause val mentioned her. So annoying.
