Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 19

Not really sorry to see Antonio go but it should have been Michael. His Jive was just awful. They kept him hidden during the team dance.

Glad that for once the judges called Sadie on her mistakes. Of course I'm sure the Duck fans will keep her in till the end.

I agree that Val & Janel didn't do the waltz, funny because he said he would do a traditional dance. I really didn't like it.

I was really not a fan of either of the group dances, I did like the creepy time warp better but of course Derek never loses. ;) Thought it was funny that Duck Girl was making fun of Derek never losing, how un-Christian of her. So sick of seeing her dad wear that head wrap, guess they have to look the part.

Agree. Did you notice Sadie also said something about how fast the dance was, then said "will Tommy be able to do this? No.", with that snotty teenager attitude? At first I gave her a pass because, well, she is 17 and my 17yo can be pretty snotty too. But then, my 17yo also doesn't go ariund acting holier than thou based on her religion.

Here we go with Duo night.

Not sure about Lea's dance. There were times it seemed they were out of sync.

No tivo tonight... Hope I can keep up. And it's a tiny tv.

Today is dynamic duos
Lea and Artem: Bonnie and Clyde

She brought in an acting coach.
I enjoyed the dance. Think she is still shoulder hunchy. Love the costumes.

Len: he enjoyed it, but "you've got to risk it to get the biscuit.
Juliann--felt choreography was "dated".
Bruno: OMG it's Faye "danceAway" (he is so punny). He felt it wasn't gangster enough (in lieu of a word he actually used.)
Carrie Ann: moved mime-ish, needs more jazz and less ballet.

I miss my tivo
ETA: for mixed reviews, the identical scores are a surprise.

Forgot to add--tonight, the highest score will have immunity, remaining contestants will pair up for a dance off.

I keep forgetting this thread is here.

I did see the Jazz Hands with Bonnie and Clyde but otherwise I would not have expected that routine to be called Jazz. JMO

I'm watching live this week with Lacey and Dominic on my laptop. Dominic just interviewed Sadie and Bethany. They said that they had to learn FOUR dances this week because they were not sure if they were going to dance a jive or a (whoops! forgot it).

Loved Lea's dance and Michael's dance was his best of the season (but still not good). Of course, I liked the song :thumbsup2.

Now Derek and Mark are on with Lacey.

Michael and Emma/Tarzan and Jane dancing Foxtrot

Disney version

Michael seems to do much better on these traditional ballroom dances. But I'm pretty sure his time as up as it isn't flawless, not even close.

Julianne--much Better last week. First time it seems he could do steps without Emma.
Bruno--can seem him try to do right. Good try, better than last week
Carrie Ann--agrees
Len--disagrees with Bruno to an extent. Best he has seen of the four times he saw him dance

I don't know if it was jazz or if CA's comments were more about the need for her to use less ballet in her dances.

Janel and Val--Romeo and Juliette
Contemporary

Bad song choice--starts with "Brother and Sister..."

Beautiful dance

Bruno: dance and romance don't come juicer than this one. I think he liked if.
Carrie Ann: best choreography
Len: she showed she was a great dancer
Julianne: breathtaking

I concur. And Janel has finally made us forget the stripper dance.

It was just beautiful.

L&D were predicting that Janel andVal would score higher than Bethany and Derek. Perfect score!

Tommy and Peta: Johnny and June carter cash
Paso Doble

He may be old--but I am impressed!
I enjoyed it. And loved that she stuck with a proper Paso as far as choreography.

Apparently he was a half a beat behind for most of the dance.

And I am falling asleep so am unlikely I to keep up. :-(
(Baby belly problem, not that the show is boring. I am enjoying tonight's dances.)

Thanks for the play-by-play Lisa as long as you can! I love it :goodvibes.

We can turn this into a drinking game...

every time Sadie mentions her religion take a shot!

We would be drunk.

I agree with Carrie Ann that Sadie had a maturity to her dancing. I really liked the dance a lot. The awkward contemporary was right up her Olive Oyl alley :rotfl:.

That made me LOL as I don't think Sadie approves of drinking unless you are at a wedding in Cana.
