Colleen, that cake looks awesome! Loveeee it! I sent pictures to Lou, because he's a big Jack Skellington guy.

And your daughter looks like she loved it too! And even coordinated her shirt!

Yess she didlove it she tried to keep the top it was all candy I said that should be interesting since we are flyingso she finally ate most of it the night before our last. and Thank You, But the funny thing is she had no idea about the cake! and she wore that shirt! LOL. She loves Jack thats all she brought while we were there A jack note book , Jack socks, jack t-shirt, 2 different jack carry all bags, the lil Jack doll like that Zero in your pics! She wanted him to and I talked her out of him! Thank God she does not need stuffed animals! That cake looked much better in person! Not that it doesn't look good on here but you definitely could appreciate it more in person it was well worth the $$.

How is the food at GFC? When I talked to Pat she said she could do a 6 in cake for me. Here is my delima I love Splash Mt and Brears and I love Minnie and Mickey. Thinking of having a nice minnie cake or a Brear Cake has anyone done a Brear Cake?

We will be eating at GFC in May.
So Pat said she could do a custom cake for you that is
a 6" cake? That's the size I want for my Annivesary cake.
But I will purchase a 8" or 10" cake if that's the only way I
can get it custom. I'm sure we can eat it for breakfast for a few days.

I want the cake to be decorated like the Old Country Rose
China Pattern that GF uses for the Afternoon Tea Party.
That's also my China Pattern which my DH purchased for my Anniversary
over the years we've been married.

You will have to post pictures of your cake when you get back.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a sugar-free cake? DD is hypoglycemic and can never eat any desserts during our trips - thought it might be great to have a special cake in the room for her 30th b'day/engagement celebration - but it must be sugar-free.

I'm certain they can. They handle all other dietary issues. Can she tolerate Splenda? I know some people who can have sugar alternatives but can't tolerate certain ones. But if she can tolerate Splenda they should be able to make something for her since it is good for baking.

The food at GFC this past August last week actually was great! Waitress and svc was great also I don't see you going wrong booking there!

I'm almost going to gaurantee you that they would have no problem doing so because while we dined at the Grand Floridian cafe the table next to us the girl had food allergies and they had the chef come out and talk to her about her allergies he mad her plate seperate from all others and delivered to to her himself1 her bread came from aseperate area and he also delivered that himself so by seeing how well they handled her I would be surprised if they couldn't hande that for you!

Finally got my anniversary cake details nailed down with Brian at the Contemporary for 9/11/09 (3 DAYS!)

He probably thinks I am a crazy woman! He touched base with me via email and asked what I was interested in for my cake. Weeellll, I had sooo many ideas in my head that I couldn't decide. SO I told him to just take creative freedom with it. But then I proceeded to give him ideas about what we loved about Disney and a picture of flowers we used in our wedding. Eventually I ended up rambling (like I am now).

He sent me an email back and basically said, tell me what you want because your email was vague (ie-to much info). Ultimately he said lets do a castle theme with some flowers from your wedding. I said YEA! I can't wait to see what he comes up with. I will post pics as soon as I can.

BTW, I did order a 6" and they said it would be no problem. But I think I am going to call and make it 8" instead.

Just called CR Private Dining to check on changing my cake to CRT instead of Chef Mickey's and she said sure no problem When I ordered that weren't "officially" supporting CRT...but she said more recently they have CRT picking up cakes everyday! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.

Does anyone have any experience ordering a custom cake from the Boardwalk Bakery? We're staying at the Beach Club Villas next month and are hosting a DISmeet / birthday party and I wanted to order something special to share with everyone.

I can't decide if I'm better off calling the Bakery directly or if I should use the hotline.

any suggestions?

I just finished talking with Pat from the GF and ordering my birthday cake........everything went perfectly! I'll admit that reading this thread for the past couple of months had made me a little nervous -but all for naught!

This afternoon (about 1:30pm) I called Pat and left a voicemail.
This evening after 8pm she called me back!
I ordered a 6" chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, and celebration themed decorations.
It will be delivered to our dinner table at Narcoossees's on 9/19.
I was pretty surprised at the $51 cost - but I'm sure it will be worth it!

You can order a custom cake at BB, but if it were me, I'd order from Yacht & Beach Club private dining. They make incredible cakes. I've never seen a BB cake that I thought looked as nice as Y&BC cakes.

OK..so now we can order cakes from the Contemporary and have them delivered to any MK restaurant??? Am I getting this correct???? If so, this would soooooo solve all my problems!!!!!!!! I reallllllllly want that Haunted Mansion cake for my husbands Birthday but can't seem to get into any CR restaurant at any time during our entire stay!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT is exactly what I would like!!!!! Can you pretty pretty please PM me and tell me how to reach this person! Castle theme with our wedding flowers/fav flowers....perfect! and 6 in to boot!

There have been reports of people getting 6-inch cakes customized - it seems to depend on who you talk to. So if it's really important to you, you might want to call back.

I think thats great if you can customise smaller cakes. Ive had 10inch both times to custom.

Shame the info coming out of WDW is not more consistent.

I may try next time!
