I'm going to be calling on Tuesday to get rolling on our December trip cake (CM dinner!)

I know it's in this thread, but can someone give me the CR cake number and the name of who I will initially be speaking with?

TIA!!

Has anyone ordered a cake at HDDR? I plan on ordering a cake for DD's b-day dinner there. I was wondering where the cake would come from? TIA

Then I would email today, then call to follow up on Tuesday after the holiday. That way, you're coming from every angle. :)

Thanks I actually got an email this morning! :cool1:

8" White fondant with chocolate buttercream underneath and strawberry mouse
Silver mickey wave around the cake
flowers (lite on the amount) w/ a Mickey and Minnie topper
a banner that says happily ever after
$100

That's about what I guesstimated! :cool1:

I can't wait till our little vow renewal!

Here are some pics of the 6" Jack Skellington Cake I ordered from Pat at the GF Bakery for our Dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe for DD's 15th Bday!

This may seem like an odd question but I want to be prepared. I ordered a two tier cake for a Wishes Cruise on 9/17. They are delivering it to the boat. Will they bring a box (or boxes) so that we can take the rest with us? Will they bring utensils and plates, etc. too? I know it sounds silly but I have this fear that we'll be standing there looking at each other with no knife, no napkins, etc. and no box to bring the rest back to the resort!

Thanks in advance.

For a cake at CM I called this #: 1-407-824-1000 x2955 Private dining

Once they answer tell them that you want a custom cake with fondant- this will skip the run around with the plain options and get you the email address for Jessi, send her an email with your plans, thoughts and pics if you have any.

Do I recall that the CR private dining also handles requests for MK?

We are having breakfast at CRT on baby mans birthday and I wanted to get DD 6 the slipper from him saying "Best big sister ever"
Maybe I am just hoping it is CR as I am already sending Jessi an email for our CM cake for his birthday dinner.

Anyone know what locations will do personalized menus still? I was thinking that would be neat for Asher also, her world changed so much when he arrived. I want to make sure she gets some special attention during his birthday trip.
We are eating at: LeCellier, CRT, CM, 1900PF, Coral Reef, CP (both B & D), WCC, Cali Grill, SciFi, 50's and Donalds.... do you even get a menu at CRT for breakfast since it is preplated? No menus at the buffets- so CaliGrill, CR, WCC I suppose?

HI! All I was wondering if anyone knows if you can special order a Cake at Tony's Town Square in Magic Kingdom? I know you can get a podium cake but I would like to have a special cake done if anyone knows thatwould be great!

I'm still trying to figure out what size cake for our anniversary.
I'm thinking we will be eating at GFC for dinner.
There will only be 3 of us Myself, DH and DS (14 yrs)
Can someone tell me more about
the Mini Wedding Cake. Is it to small for the 3 of us to each have
a piece. It does look pretty small in the pictures.
We will also have our dessert that comes along
with dinner since we will be on the DDP.

But I'm also considering ordering either an 6" or 8" cake.

Can the 6" Cakes fit in the small Fridge at AKL?

Can the 6" cakes be customized at all?
because I've read that they can't be customized and that they can?
I don't know what is true.

I hope so that would be great because I want to get DS the Monorail cake if you find out can you let me know. And also can you PM me Jessi's email?

Coral Reef definitely does do the personalized menus and they are really cool! You contact the restaurant directly if you can't get them leave a message about what you would like to know and they are very good about getting back to you!

6" should be perfect for you! Call Pat at the GF Bakery! She will take good care of you! I had a 6" personalized see the above post with the Jack Skellington cake that was a 6" there was 5 of us and we had 2 pieces left to take withus plus the whole candy top of the cake! It was definitely worth the price DD was surprised she had no idea and the funny thing was she wore her Jack Skellington shirt that day!:)

I haven't gone back through and reread all the posts here yet, so I thought I'd ask before I tried to do that...

What about an anniversary cake at the Rose & Crown? Customized? Generic? Thoughts?

DH and I are having a date night in December which will be a celebration of our 19th wedding anniversary that was in July. We don't have anyone here that will watch the boys for extended periods, but my friend we are staying with is the one that brought up the idea of her watching the boys so that DH and I could go out alone. I have reservations at his favorite restaurant, the Rose & Crown, and wondered about having a cake delivered as I'm doing on 11/11 for my son's 8th birthday.

:worship:I am looking to get something even the slipper would be great delivered to one of these places:

who do i need to call

I talked to Pat yesterday and is going to do a low sugar castle cake for us. In Jan we are comming back and I thought I would do a minnie cake but my most favorite ride is Splash Mt. I wonder could that be done? We also play tennis so maybe a Mickey Minnie tennis cake.

Can I ask is what size this cake is? We are going to order on for California Grille in a couple of weeks with this frosting and I am not sure what size it has to be in order to get this kind of frosting with marble cake and custard and strawberry filling. Thanks so much.

It was 10inch. They told me it had to be 10inch to custom

Anyone??? Pretty please! :) Who do I call, how do I do this, and what am I looking at money wise.

For a cake to be delivered to a restaurant, call the Cake Hotline on the first page of this tread and follow the prompts to get to someone at your restaurant. For a cake to be delivered to your room, call Private Dining at your resort. The cake that your idea is based on is called the Mickey's Delight, and the safest bets for executing it right are the bakeries at the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, the Yacht & Beach Clubs and the BoardWalk. None of them will let you pick up except the BoardWalk Bakery, so you'd have to be staying/dining there. :thumbsup2

Is there an email address to Disney regarding cakes? I tried one from another thread and it did not work.

There is no general email address for cakes at WDW. You will have to call the Cake Hotline or Private Dining at the resort where you are staying. Then you may be given individual email addys for whomever you talk to.

Does anyone know what cake services deliver to downtown Rainforest Cafe? I made a reservation there for my dd's b-day and well of course I am having a hard time finding a cake for her. I also wanted to know if there are any local bakeries where I order and pick one up from. Thanks:)

Rainforest Cafe is not part of the Disney's Cake Hotline - you will have to call the restaurant directly and see what they can offer you. If you want to get one off-site, Publix supermarkets get rave reviews, and there are a few branches not too far from Disney. :)

HI! All I was wondering if anyone knows if you can special order a Cake at Tony's Town Square in Magic Kingdom? I know you can get a podium cake but I would like to have a special cake done if anyone knows thatwould be great!

If you call the cake hotline and follow the prompts for Tony's you will be given the option to order very basic 8-inch or 10-inch cakes in chocolate/chocolate or vanilla/vanilla. If you want a fancy cake with fondant, you might try calling Private Dining at the Contemporary and arranging to have the CR bakery make one for you and deliver it - they seem to be doing this now for Cinderella's Royal Table, so why not Tony's? It won't be cheap, but you'll have way more options.

Can the 6" Cakes fit in the small Fridge at AKL?

Yes. The top layer of our wedding cake was 6 inches, and we had no problem cramming it into our fridge at AKL. :teeth:

Can the 6" cakes be customized at all?
because I've read that they can't be customized and that they can?
I don't know what is true.

It seems to depend on who you talk to and/or how pushy you are. Keep trying!

What about an anniversary cake at the Rose & Crown? Customized? Generic?

Options offered by the Epcot bakery are very generic and usually only have whipped cream frosting, not fancy designs or fondant. You might try calling the BoardWalk Bakery or Grand Floridian Bakery to see if they will deliver to Rose & Crown - just be prepared to pay a steep delivery fee.

:worship:I am looking to get something even the slipper would be great delivered to one of these places:
coral reef, rainforest at AK, or Hoop de doo
who do i need to call

The slipper can only be delivered to locations at the Grand Floridian or Cinderella's Royal Table. Rainforest has its own deal - it's not part of Disney's cake hotline, so you'd need to ask them directly what they offer. Coral Reef and the other Epcot restaurants offer only very basic cakes of chocolate and vanilla in various combos, but that may be all you're looking for.

Call the Cake Hotline listed on this page and follow the prompts for Coral Reef, then call back for Hoop-Dee-Doo, and talk to people at both places about what your options are. :thumbsup2

It was 10inch. They told me it had to be 10inch to custom

There have been reports of people getting 6-inch cakes customized - it seems to depend on who you talk to. So if it's really important to you, you might want to call back. :goodvibes

OMG! I just returned from a 3 day stay at Disney. My best friend and I flew down to Palm Beach for my daughter's bridal shower and decided to end our 3week trip at Disney. Since my friend's birthday was 8/23, I decided to surprise her with a small birthday cake. I called the GF bakery (we were dining at Citricos that night) and ordered a 6" chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and ganache frosting!!! WOW! It was delicious! The cake was moist and fresh and the mousse was smooth and creamy! I opted NOT to order any special additional decorations for $30.00 more, so my cake only cost me $25.00...well worth it! Since we were so stuffed from our fabulous dinner, we only had a sliver of the cake. Citricos graciously held it for us until the following evening when we checked out of our hotel. We retrieved the cake about 9pm and after the 45 minute drive to my mother's house in Cocoa, we had another slice of cake. There was still enough cake left for the next day when we each (3 of us) had yet another slice to finish it off! The cake was pretty in itself and was decorated with large chocolate shavings surrounding the cake! Awesome! I will definitely re-order this cake for another occasion! (Just so happens I will be at the BW on 11/9-11/11 after attending my daughter's wedding on 11/7 in Isle Marada in the Florida Keys). I can't wait to enjoy this wonderful chocolate cake again!!

Colleen, that cake looks awesome! Loveeee it! I sent pictures to Lou, because he's a big Jack Skellington guy.

And your daughter looks like she loved it too! And even coordinated her shirt!
