Personally I hope Carrie goes home.

Yup, me too!!! She could very easily be in the bottom 3 this week, which would be a voting upset as far as the show is concerned, and especially Simon, who I think has the hots for her.

Scott and Nadia, huh? I thought she had a bit better taste than that.... but who knows? :confused3

All I have to say is I am SO glad Bohemian Rhapsody was made the year Constantine was born!!! WOOOOWWW!!!

He pulled it OFF!! And I am the ULTIMATE Freddy Mercury fan!! If he messed it up I would've murdered him. Not only did he pull it off he made it HIS! I finally agreed with Simon... Astounding!!

Go Constantine!!! It's your year!! :cool1:

just watched my tape of last night's show - intttteresting. i think anthony or anwar or nadia will be going tonight - nadia just didn't wow me and she doesn't seem to have a strong fan base, although i like her and i ususally vote for her. anthony picked a great song but that whole clapping along with the chorus part was rather cheesy. anwar didn't blow my socks off either.
loved bo and scott (though i agree, i prefer him singing, not talking) and LOVED vonzell. had i been able to vote last night, i would have mostly voted for her and bo. she's fantastic. and i'm not a huge fan of that song.
carrie and constantine are two people i rarely enjoy, but i thought they both brought it last night. i can't stand country carrie, but when she picks a rock song, she picks great ones, like the heart song and the pat benatar song last night.
i reeeeeeally hope vonzell and bo won't be going home tonight, but as they say, i couldn't vote, so i can't complain!

OK - for some strange reason, I thought Idol was on at 9 last night. So, at 8:38, when my daughter came home from practice, she said.......are you taping idol? Ackkkkkkkkk

So I only saw Scott's critique and Carrie and Constantine's performances.

Hall and Oates liked Scott, but really, would they say "it's just alright for us!"?? I was put off by Scott's comment. I really thought he was starting to say........."I'm up here and you're not Simon". That would've probably got him another pass for the week. But, giving your fan base a backhanded compliment won't work, imho. It was the heat of the moment I guess though.

Carrie - I normally love her but it was just ok. I think she wanted to take a risk, maybe because she has been safe for so long and probably getting such high marks she felt she could. From this point on, any of the performers could get the boot if they chew off more than they can handle.

Constantine - I was thinking.......wow that takes guts. But, he did a great job. I really think his theatrical training enables him to do a lot of different music pretty well. Still, not the best voice, but really the best package. (after I reread what I just typed, I started :rotfl: )Interpret that comment any way you'd like!

I do miss the guest judges but don't know why they don't have them this year. Maybe they didn't want anymore controversies, like the comments from Elton John last year. Or, maybe it is just super expensive to have them and use their songs. Can anyone imagine a Barry Manilow night with most of the performers this year? I sure can't. :goodvibes

So - here's my crystal ball predictions since I didn't see all of the preformances.

Bottom three Nadia, Scott, and the shocker Bo.
Scott goes home.

Could you refresh my memory? I can't remember what Elton John said that caused problems. Now you really have me wondering!!!! :confused3

They were running that commercial (suggesting a possible upset) here in FLA before voting was even over.
I think it's going to be: Scott, Anwar, and Nadia
I think Scott's going home.

Oh right, I had thankfully forgotten about that.

I'm finding that my opions have changed so much from the auditions and initial rounds. I liked Scott in the beginning - I fell for the back story and I thought he sang well. I'm ready for him to go home now, and I really hope he's the one voted off this week. It has nothing to do with the whole arrest thing - he's just ready to go.

I normally really like Nadia and always have, but her performances lately have left me a little flat.

Of the two "rockers" I liked Bo much more at the beginning. In fact in auditions I couldn't stand Constantine. Now I think he's fabulous.

I was really struck by Anthony's voice during auditions and the first few rounds, lately he's sounded a little strained. I mean that he's been singing stuff that's not in his element and he's not comfortable singing, and it shoes.

I really liked Anwar from the start, but he's starting to sound a little mechanical to me. As in I don't get any real emotion or passion from his performances. So they're leaving me a little blah.

And I still don't like Carrie. Her singing is fine, but I really, really don't like country music so I tune her out most times. Although I did appreciate seeing her try to do something different last night.

Now... to see who gets voted out tonight!

Can't really tell anything by the way they are sitting...mixed up and no "clues".

I'll be checking in here to see who gets voted off. I will NOT watch a one hour show of re-hashing last night's performances to find out who's "out"! So keep me posted!

Wait - I didn't realize the show is PAYING for their clothes! Goodness there is really no excuse for some of those outfits! I thought they were using things they had with them. Sheesh - a couple of these finalists really need to use that stylist.

I think Nadia always looks like a *star*. Maybe she can make a career as a stylist if she doesn't make it as a singer.

O M G!!!! A Picture of BO in bed! Lord, have mercy!!!! :earseek:

Loved that pictorial of a week in the life of an idol

I heard that the person going home tonight will be a SHOCKER and Simon isn't happy about it. Suppose to be one of the biggest American Idol shockers. I wonder if it's Constantine or Bo?? Doesn't sound like its gonna be Scott. (Dang!!!)

It's got to be someone that has never been in the bottom three... Ryan keeps saying "you won't believe who is in the bottom three" That leaves Carrie, Constantine or Bo... I like Bo... hope it's not him, but Constantine was really good last night, so, I don't think it's him... could be carrie, but I seriously doubt that one.... Too bad it's not Scott, I believe he has some sort of anger issue...

Maybe its Carrie!

Simon does seem to favor her.

Did you notice how Scott sounded normal when he was talking? he didn't sound all hard and angry like he does on the interviews before he sings.

I noticed that as well. That arrogant stuff may be an act.

SCOTT IS IN BOTTOM THREE!

He's singing Against All Odds now.
