OK - for some strange reason, I thought Idol was on at 9 last night. So, at 8:38, when my daughter came home from practice, she said.......are you taping idol? Ackkkkkkkkk
So I only saw Scott's critique and Carrie and Constantine's performances.
Hall and Oates liked Scott, but really, would they say "it's just alright for us!"?? I was put off by Scott's comment. I really thought he was starting to say........."I'm up here and you're not Simon". That would've probably got him another pass for the week. But, giving your fan base a backhanded compliment won't work, imho. It was the heat of the moment I guess though.
Carrie - I normally love her but it was just ok. I think she wanted to take a risk, maybe because she has been safe for so long and probably getting such high marks she felt she could. From this point on, any of the performers could get the boot if they chew off more than they can handle.
Constantine - I was thinking.......wow that takes guts. But, he did a great job. I really think his theatrical training enables him to do a lot of different music pretty well. Still, not the best voice, but really the best package. (after I reread what I just typed, I started

)Interpret that comment any way you'd like!
I do miss the guest judges but don't know why they don't have them this year. Maybe they didn't want anymore controversies, like the comments from Elton John last year. Or, maybe it is just super expensive to have them and use their songs. Can anyone imagine a Barry Manilow night with most of the performers this year? I sure can't.
So - here's my crystal ball predictions since I didn't see all of the preformances.
Bottom three Nadia, Scott, and the shocker Bo.
Scott goes home.
