Our goal is to be in line for Jack and Sally asap We will already be inside. Where is the best place to get your band and be close to J&S? In the front of the park? Last year was a bit chaotic and not very well marked in Tomorrowland. Got ours finally just before 4:00 but that will be too late if they let the party ticket holders in just before 4:00.

If you're in the park, the closest location will be in Tomorrowland (the other 2 are in Fantasyland and Adventureland)

For the fireworks, do you have to be right in the front to see the Jack Skellington puppet? How far back before you can't see him at all?

Was at Friday's party. We did Tron around 8:30. It was listed as a 35 minute wait at that point. It was pretty accurate (every other wait time that night was definitely overstated!). For example, we got in line for Tianna's at 6:10 (said 45 minutes), we were in our log at 6:34.

Wait times re-appear in MDE at 7.

Have fun!
Tiana and Tron have a standby line during the party?

Hello, fellow DISer's! Not attending a party this year, but will be at WDW for a very short trip the first week of Sept for the F&W festival and planning a MK day on Friday 9/6, which is a party day. Has anyone been to MK on a party day so far this year? I know traditionally party days have lower crowds, but since that's is now pretty well known, wondering what the crowd levels look like during the morning and early afternoon. Thx!
Was in the MK today. Quiet day. So thankful I didn’t purchase LLMP as lines were very manageable!

Feeling giddy for the 10/11 party! I just booked a quick getaway for the kids and I to say our goodbyes to Tom Sawyer’s Island and Dinoland, and was thrilled tickets to MNSSHP were still available for our weekend. I thought we were going to miss out on it this year. Now time to catch up on this 81 page thread! 😆
Funny because I booked our October MNSSHP way in advance but it turns out this will also be the farewell tour for TSI and Dinoland as well! Glad I get one more chance to experience both but especially Dinosaur. I have very fond memories of it and love the preshow and queue left over from the 90's. Always loved the Ketchup Mustard and Mayo left over from when McDonald's sponsored them!

Can I ask a question please, we're planning a day at MK on one of the party days but won't be staying for the party. We have dinner booked for 5:45pm. How do they know we're not part of the party event? We plan to leave after dinner but I was curious how they'd know if we tried to do a ride after dinner.

Party guests receive a wristband. You will not have one. AFter 6:00 CMs will be on the look out for them.

Thanks for replying. So we'll still be ok to have our dinner reservation though, right?
Yes, but you won't be able to go into shops, stop and watch shows, or ride any rides on your way out. Reports of being walked out are spotty but you may be escorted out. Basically you won't be able to go into areas of the park as the park is closed. Castmembers will be standing at the entrance to the lands from the hub looking for bands/helping people leave the park.

just booked a little impromptu trip for the 8/26-29 and saw the 27th is sold out. in the past once i was able to buy them day of despite it saying sold out but that was before covid. has anyone seen that this year at all?

I’m assuming this is the puppet in the front?
If not, disregard 😂

I was standing between the castle and partner’s statue. Slightly closer to the castle than the statue. Don’t know if I’m missing anything by not being further back but I was quite happy with the view.

Scroll back to the first party and read forward. We had someone who managed to snag day of tickets but I think they said it took multiple visits to the MK ticket booth.

I watched from the dessert party garden and if the photo SleeplessInTO posted is what you are referring to, you can see some of it from the garden. I'm not sure if taller people have a better view. I'm 5"2. Looking at my photos, I've got Jack from the knees and up in most of the photos. A few of them I've got a little lower. I don't see his feet in any of my photos.

I was in a similar position to SleeplessInTO for the regular fireworks. I was against the rail of the Walt & Mickey statue - it was to my right as I faced the castle. My view was terrible. I'm just too short. I couldn't see most of the bottom of the castle. I was constantly readjusting my position to try to see over heads and around arms. The worst part was the raised cell phones. My photos are not very good - -I had to try to get above the cell phones near me, meaning I'm missing a lot of the castle. A lot of the photos I took have the other cell phones in the photo and it looks awful. I can crop it out, but I'll crop away a good part of the castle.

I will never watch the fireworks like that again. Overall a horrible experience. Suffocatingly hot, bad view, aching neck from looking up at an angle, the incessant press of people and getting out of the mess was the definitely the worst part of my 9 day trip. The dessert party is worth every penny - -you can sit in peace until shortly before it starts and the view is great.

Ironic that the raised cell phones were an issue so you raised yours higher. I feel for you, though! I’m taller, and usually feel bad that I’m most likely blocking somebody in situations like this.

People should stop taking cell phone pics and videos of the fireworks. Or maybe just grabbing one or two snaps and then putting the phone down.

There are incredible professional-quality pics everywhere online, and YouTube is filled with 4K videos.
