I saw on FB that last night villains popped up in fairytale hall trick or treat line! Cool! Maleficent in front of Aurora’s portrait and the Queen in front of Snow’s. Behind a rope so you could take a selfie. Love that! I hope that sticks around for when we go in September! Maybe this is a permanent change from the train station platform?

Yes, I saw that too! LOVE it! Does anyone know what the weather was like last night? I wonder if they were moved there last night because of rain/storms or if Disney moved them there permanently.

DH52, DS25, DD21, and myself(52) along with 2 college program friends of DDs all attended our 1st MNSSHP last night. We went in with somewhat low expectations as to what we would accomplish. Happy to say the evening really exceeded our expectations!
I will try to recap as best I can as to the amount we were able to accomplish. We left our room at Art of Animation around 2:00 and arrived at the front gates of MK at 2:30. Signage was clear and we were sent to the first of two corrals at the tap styles. We were 2nd in line at that tap style.
*Note: they filled in the 1st corral completely before sending people to the 2nd. So, if you don’t arrive early enough for the front half of the first one, I would hang back until they open the 2nd and you can be at the front of that one.
They started scanning tickets and putting on wristbands about 3:40 then we were gel just past the tap styles. A couple minutes before 4, they let us go. We walked to Jack and Sally, got lucky and were the 6th party in line. (There seemed to be 2 rooms.) Done with that at 4:02 which shocked us.
With our unexpected bonus time we meandered up Main Street, got castle pics, saw Country Bears, rode Big Thunder and Pirates, and had some beignets.
As it neared 6:00 we headed to Tiana. Line looked super long as it started way out on the bridge. But I think they were just holding party guests there initially as the line moved quickly and only took 20 min.
From 6:45-7:45 we didn’t accomplish much, mostly walking around. The young adults all rode Space Mountain.
We watched the 1st parade from Frontierland near Pecos Bill and then used mobile order and had a snack inside. Loved the parade!
Next we did Magic Shots by Hall of Presidents.
We met Jasmine and Genie; they were fantastic! Then did some trick or treating and saw the hitchhiking ghosts on the way to meet Pooh and Friends who were also great!
After Pooh and friends we decided to ride Haunted Mansion. On the way we went to Fairytale Hall to trick a treat where a very enthusiastic CM was hurrying us in. We were confused until we stepped inside and saw Maleficent and the Evil Queen. That was a nice surprise!
Onto HM where we had the entertainment in the queue of I believe the bride and the butler. The were so good and we were thrilled to just miss the cutoff for the stretching room so we could watch them longer.
The 3 college kids decided to stay for the 12:00 Sanderson Show ( forget what it’s called).
The rest of us headed to the Emporium and then out of the park though we had to wait a bit for the 2nd parade to finish. We walked onto a waiting bus!
The weather was perfect, low humidity even though it was super hot of course.

Of note: when I left the park after the 2nd parade, they only had the shirt I wanted in XS. But, by the time the kids left they had restocked so make sure to check back.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the thread so far. You really do need to make choices about your priorities and it was super helpful!

Thanks for sharing your recap! I'm wondering if you remember what time you lined up for Pooh and friends, and about how long the wait was? Sane with HM. Thank you 😊

Yes, we got in line during the fireworks as we had decided to skip those, about 10:05. My photos are time stamped 10:47. So just over 40 minutes.
HM was only about 5 minutes (posted 13). Those photos are time stamped 11:18.

What does everyone think of the parade time change? I didn't watch the parade this year because of the time change. Part of me regrets not seeing the parade but also I really, really enjoyed my party. I felt like I did so much more this time around and part of that was because I didn't spend 2 hours waiting for the parade and fireworks.

We are going to be in Magic Kingdom earlier in the day and attending the party, so can get our wristbands in the park. We were planning on trying to line up for Jack and Sally right at 4 but I’m now thinking that might not be the best strategy because the wristband handouts in the park all seem to be further in (and we would have to get our band, presumably not much before 4pm) then walk all the way down to town square where the line likely would have built up from people coming in just for the party. Any thoughts on this?

Does anyone know if the “no capes longer than waist length” rule for 14+ applies to 13 and under? Could a 12 year old wear a mid-calf length cape?

Thanks for sharing, sounds like you had a great time at the party!

How early do folks start waiting for the party fireworks if they want to see them from a spot facing the castle?

Apologize if this is already addressed in the thread; looked back in the thread but it is quite long!. Following now so will get notice of future posts. Can anyone who has been to the Halloween event let us know approximate wait times for Tron at different times during the event. Do wait times show up during the event show up in the Disney Experience app?

Well, sadly, I missed out on purchasing September 13 or 15th tickets and they are all sold out. Since I am an annual passholder, is magic kingdom still pretty quiet on the day of the Halloween party? If so, maybe going on a quiet park day might be just as fun.
