DH52, DS25, DD21, and myself(52) along with 2 college program friends of DDs all attended our 1st
MNSSHP last night. We went in with somewhat low expectations as to what we would accomplish. Happy to say the evening really exceeded our expectations!
I will try to recap as best I can as to the amount we were able to accomplish. We left our room at Art of Animation around 2:00 and arrived at the front gates of MK at 2:30. Signage was clear and we were sent to the first of two corrals at the tap styles. We were 2nd in line at that tap style.
*Note: they filled in the 1st corral completely before sending people to the 2nd. So, if you don’t arrive early enough for the front half of the first one, I would hang back until they open the 2nd and you can be at the front of that one.
They started scanning tickets and putting on wristbands about 3:40 then we were gel just past the tap styles. A couple minutes before 4, they let us go. We walked to Jack and Sally, got lucky and were the 6th party in line. (There seemed to be 2 rooms.) Done with that at 4:02 which shocked us.
With our unexpected bonus time we meandered up Main Street, got castle pics, saw Country Bears, rode Big Thunder and Pirates, and had some beignets.
As it neared 6:00 we headed to Tiana. Line looked super long as it started way out on the bridge. But I think they were just holding party guests there initially as the line moved quickly and only took 20 min.
From 6:45-7:45 we didn’t accomplish much, mostly walking around. The young adults all rode Space Mountain.
We watched the 1st parade from Frontierland near Pecos Bill and then used mobile order and had a snack inside. Loved the parade!
Next we did Magic Shots by Hall of Presidents.
We met Jasmine and Genie; they were fantastic! Then did some trick or treating and saw the hitchhiking ghosts on the way to meet Pooh and Friends who were also great!
After Pooh and friends we decided to ride Haunted Mansion. On the way we went to Fairytale Hall to trick a treat where a very enthusiastic CM was hurrying us in. We were confused until we stepped inside and saw Maleficent and the Evil Queen. That was a nice surprise!
Onto HM where we had the entertainment in the queue of I believe the bride and the butler. The were so good and we were thrilled to just miss the cutoff for the stretching room so we could watch them longer.
The 3 college kids decided to stay for the 12:00 Sanderson Show ( forget what it’s called).
The rest of us headed to the Emporium and then out of the park though we had to wait a bit for the 2nd parade to finish. We walked onto a waiting bus!
The weather was perfect, low humidity even though it was super hot of course.
Of note: when I left the park after the 2nd parade, they only had the shirt I wanted in XS. But, by the time the kids left they had restocked so make sure to check back.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the thread so far. You really do need to make choices about your priorities and it was super helpful!
