Official 2017 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

:tinker::tinker::tinker:FAIRY FRIDAY, YAY!!!! :tinker::tinker::tinker:

3 weeks already. I'm so excited!!!

Lately I haven't bought much race merchandise because I've just accumulated so much and then with getting the race shirts it just feels like too much. BUT, this is my first (maybe only) DLR race, so that might convince me to buy something, but I really have nothing particular in mind. I have typically bought a Disney snowglobe with the date on each of our trips, but the last couple of years haven't been able to find them. I have seen one now on the parks app, so am hoping I'll find one in the stores there. If so, that will be a definite purchase. Other than that, I may just buy some Disneyland items that strike my fancy since going to DLR is a more unique experience for us.

@Ariel484, how far is it to InB headquarters? I hadn't really thought about that, but if it's not too far, maybe I could talk Chris into taking a ride over there. Do you Uber it?

Fairy Friday!

For DLR merch I'd really like a DL version of the Starbucks "you are here" mugs to match my magic kingdom one from my first rundisney weekend.

Race specific: I've already pre-ordered the half pin, the jacket and the dooney wristlet. I'd like the haunted mansion shoes. That's a lot of damage already right there. I'm trying not to decide anything else until I get there because I'm coming Friday and who knows what will be gone or still in abundance. A sweaty band sure would be nice though!!! I'd love a shoe ornament too but realize those could go fast???

Does all the food I'm gonna stuff in my face count as merch? :)

I only make it to Disneyland every couple of years, so I'll definitely be on the look out for some cool merch I can't get at WDW. Anything Oswald for sure! And Tink is my favorite character, so I'm afraid I'm going to go NUTS at the expo. #sorrynotsorry

@ZellyB supposedly it's only 10 minutes away...I have heard the route itself is confusing though (you pass it on the highway and then have to sort of backtrack?). When I went last year I took a taxi. I was going to use Uber or Lyft this time but then I came up with a few more stops I want to make, and I read a TR about someone renting a car for the day from the Downtown Disney Alamo for pretty cheap - I looked into that and for the afternoon I can rent a car for like $25!! So I'm doing that to make my off-property stops. :)

:tinker:Fairy Friday !!!! Whooohooo !! And a favorite subject of mine...shopping.
I pre-ordered the jacket, pin, and D & B Tote. The tote is a Mother's Day gift from DH and Mousketeer. Easy shopping for them this year.
Hope I like the pre-ordered jacket, if not returning it promptly.

Expo-Official Merch: I usually get a shirt, jacket, magnet, plastic water bottle drink thing. (the styles have changed a bit but it must have a straw) Used to love the rD vinamation series, which I haven't seen in about a year. The good news is, I've got my AP 20% discount and then I have a lot of Disney reward dollars to spend...so "free" shopping.

Non-official: Some fuel for the race, OOFOOS sandals, maybe if there is a good promo--some Feeture socks. Maybe a new Tink charm if Pandora has one?
I can't believe it's just 3 wks out now. I'm really getting excited and that will help with my long runs coming up.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I usually do an ornament every trip - I missed out on a rundisney one last time so that's my goal this time. If not a DL specific one for sure.

I also usually do a coffee mug - either a Starbucks one or TBD!

I'd also like another Sweaty band - maybe green? Black? Red? I've got purple and a pink pattern - so something different!

And then a souvenir for each of our DDs :cutie::cutie:

Fairy Friday!!

For the expo I'm usually pretty limited on what I can buy at Tink. I always end up with the pins for each race, and sometimes a water bottle if I like the design. I usually take this opportunity to buy any Coast to Coast and generic runDisney merchandise that I want since I'm not spending a fortune on race specific stuff at this race.

As for DLR merchandise I always come home with a few new pins. I've also started buying one of the vinyl records with a graphic on it each trip. Ikea has great record frames to put them in.

I plan to buy the "I did it" shirts and possibly the mini medal pins. I have the AP for DL so that discount will help too. Since I'm so close to DL ther isn't anything DL specific I planned on buying. I'm still on the fence about the new balance shoes

I plan on purchasing some OOFOOS and a Sparkle Skirt. Race stuff - a pin and necklace (if I like them) and a water bottle. Usually purchase the "I did it!" shirts, but, not too sure this year.

My budget is kind of tight this year because we are headed to Cape Cod in less than a month from TINK.

:tinker: It's Fairy Friday! :tinker:

Oh, shopping! I may pick up another Sparkle Athletic skirt, but other than that...not planning on much. The D23 Expo is coming up and I just booked an on-site room for the race I wasn't planning on doing, the Disneyland Monsters Inc. 10K...

@Ariel484 Harveys! Oh, one of my favorite subjects. I totally love their bags/totes/accessories and I have way too many. Being a local, I love that they are locally made. A win-win!

Shopping! :love: I've got my list of wants and then anything else I see will probably find a way into my suitcase!
Expo: since this is my first rundisney event, YIKES! I'm sure tons of stuff that I must have! :)
DL: I need an ornament of some kind, either rundisney or dl or both!, probably some sweatshirt or shirt that's dl since this is my first trip there too! and I'll have to pick up a couple items for my two girls (probably see what tsum tsums that I can find that they might need to add to their collection). And what I'm MOST excited about is the pandora store in DTD. I've got my eye on a tink charm and then one of the dl ones. I could totally get them online or through the shopping app, but I'm waiting until I'm THERE to get them. Much more special that way.

@Ariel484 Pretty!
I'm literally tracking a 60th Anniversary Poster tote right now, after I banned myself after Christmas before the D23 Expo in July...and I think I bought 4 more bags since the beginning of the year. I have problems!

How busy was the NB booth in Tink years past? (I'd be going Friday afternoon)

Last year at Tink I went Thursday afternoon and there wasn't much of a wait. This year (at Star Wars Light Side) I went Friday afternoon after 5pm and there was zero wait and no problem getting shoes.

Fairy Friday!

I pre-purchased a pin. I also might get an "I did it" shirt and a shoe ornament if I can still get one. Who knows what else I might be tempted by!
