I apologize if this has been asked but is there a popular opinion on airport to fly into if I take southwest. I'd be coming from Chicago and my sis from Austin. I have points so flight would be free or close to it.

I've heard SNA is better but LAX has worked out better for me time- and price-wise. I'm hoping to try SNA for Tink this time, though...a shorter drive sounds pretty nice!Orange County (SNA) is the closest and easy to navigate.
BW Stovall is my only experience from what you've listed. Been staying there the last few DL races I've done with a couple of friends. It's where we'll be again so I would definitely recommend it.Making this trip solo - my first to DL and my birthday weekend! Since staying on-site is not an option what are your favorite good neighbor hotels for race weekends? So far I'm torn between the BW Stoval, Hilton, Sheraton Park and Fairfield

OK, so if all three of us will be at RnR in San Jose ... I know it's gonna be busy but we need to do something that might signify us out to one another in case. Are you guys staying at a hotel or are you coming in locally?
I'm staying Saturday night and I think Im at the Westin. I wasn't in charge of the travel plans so thats the only reason I dont know for sure. Guess I should find out! As of now I'm in corral 16 but I'm gonna try to get moved up to 15 at the expo to be with @courtneybeth for the start! We should try to meet up in the morning if you have time or saturday night!

@Belle Ella -- I'm at the 4 Points Sheraton Hotel and doing the 5K / HM remix that weekend. I arrive on Friday morning and am taking off at around 3pm on Sunday. I'm moving up to Corral 15 at the expo with @kirstie101.
We should totally find a way to meet up and say hello! I am focusing on RNR Montreal at the moment (leaving Friday night - omg!) - so I haven't really thought about much as to what i'm wearing, plans, meeting up and all that for San Jose. Woops. (Earning Heavy Medal #10 this weekend... then it's just 5 more until I Hall of Fame. So close!)
^^todayDon't forget - regular registration begins tomorrow at noon EST!
During early registration, the kids races, 5K and 10K sold out (in that order, I believe). This DOES NOT mean that these races are completely sold out, just that the early spots (about 5-10% of the total number of bibs available for each race) filled up.
Make sure your Active.com account is ready to go - especially your birthdate, as Active sometimes has a bug where your DOB will be off by a day or a year. And be ready to go at noon EST, ESPECIALLY if you're registering for the kids races, 10K or 5K.
Good luck, everyone!!
You'll put in your time that you ran and a link to those results. My first half marathon!!!! so I'm new to proof of time for this distance. I'll most likely be using my 10k PR of 1:05:13 which is a 10:28 pace, but the macmillan calculator shows projected half would be 11:04 pace for a half. I have a few other chances to get a better time but not banking on it right now. Do I choose a 10:30-11:00 or a 11:00-11:30 on my registration today? And then when I submit my actual proof I can change my projected finish time?
Thanks for listening to my newbie half question![]()

For the half you put in an anticipated finish time, not the pace. So whatever Macmillan gave you would be fine to put in. There's a drop-down of times to choose from (2:45, 2:40, etc.).
