Official 2017 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

I'm legacy and I didn't get an email. But I also registered on Tues. with the other AP'ers.

I NEVER get any rD emails. Yes, I've called rD and they have all my correct info. Who knows why they do what they do.

Maybe neither one of us got one because we were already registered? I got the generic reminder email for Tink so I imagine if they were going to send me a special one I would have gotten it...oh well, no biggie I guess, I'm in regardless!

It's been all over my FB today, and everyone I know who is a Legacy besides me has received the email. I guess they went out today? I knew it might be a possibility based on things they have done for other Legacy races and was hoping for it, just to have the added relief of not having to "fight" for a spot (even if they aren't selling out as quickly since you never really know).

Did you get the general race email?

It's at the bottom of that. It's not a special email in addition to the general race registration email.
It's also only good for the half - you can't use it for the challenge, which seems kind of dumb as well.

I normally do get the rD emails.

Which RNR and Ragnar are you doing? :)

Sorry that RunDisney is leaving you sour.

RNR San Jose and Ragnar Napa Valley :)

Nope. I haven't received any email from runDisney since Tink.

@Ariel484 -- you can put me, my DH and my DS on the list for the Neverland 5K

this will be my first year running all 3 races ~~ DS(7) wanted to try out the 5K instead of the kid races, our first time running as a family!!!

Nope. I haven't received any email from runDisney since Tink.

I'll be at RnR San Jose too! And I'm also very interested to hear how Ragnar Napa Valley goes! I've thought about doing that a time or two.

And for the record I never get rundisney emails. I didn't even get the generic one about registration this year.

I registered my husband this morning for the Tinkberbell Half. As for me... um, still haven't decided.

Looks like the only races sold out for AP reg is the 5K and kids. The rest are wide open, even the 10k!

So they are offering Legacies guaranteed entry if they so wish! I checked my email though and nada. I'm a little disheartened about this. Even more so after the debacle at Tink this past year already. I suppose I'll give it a little more time and then contact them?

I never get Disney e-mails, so I didn't get this one either. The way things are going, I doubt if this one will sell out soon.

So far I'm still not planning on registering. But I did make a reservation at BW Pavillions cause the rate was so good...ya know, just in case.

All right, looks like it's just Tinkerbell Half Marathon for me! I opted to use the difference in PDC and HM to pay for my So Cal Ragnar Relay entry fee.

I think the combination of the timing and weather will result in a great race - and I get coast to coast pink and blue! :)

Now to save money for the Disneyland Half - not doing Dumbo again. Nope. No way.

My DIL is planning to register on Tuesday for the 5k, 10k & half. She's working on her coast-to-coast and is already registered for the Princess. She's also thinking about registering her will-be-11 in May daughter for the 5k & 10k. I'm debating the new Courtyard Marriott on Harbor since it has 2 queen beds + bunk beds so all 3 of us will have our own beds (I'm the support/cheer team for this girls' trip). Will the Esplanade be open early enough to get across to the race starts? Or is there a race transport bus along Harbor or, if we rent a car, is there a place to park for the race near the race start? Would it be worthwhile to have a rental car for the races? Is there a better off-site area rather than Harbor to stay for the races -- can't afford the DLR resorts.

I think it's a good choice for hotels. The Esplanade will be open....lots of runners will be passing through to get to the start. rD staff will be milling around as well as security. You can get info from them where a good place is to cheer and watch runners go by as we will cross the Esplanade at some point running.

I've lurked for awhile, and I know I've read it, but now that it is about to be time and it is FOR REAL!!! for me this time, I just wanted to double check the registration process. I think I'm remembering that I should have my active account info handy or already "remembered" in my computer. I should be refreshing the rundisney tinkerbell page for the registration links to become active before/at 12 eastern (11am for me in central!) and when the link pops up onto the rundisney page it will link to the active.com registration page. There i log in, register, pay quickly because I have my cc info ready to copy/paste into the form. Then bam! I'm heading to disney to run the 10k, right???? Thanks in advance for reassuring me!! :)

Yep!! You can open Active to log in first and then once the link is live at runDisney.com, when you follow it, it'll already know that you are logged in as long as you use the same browser. :)

Awesome! I'll see you in San Jose in a couple of weeks. My Ragnar is the so cal race next April. Good luck at both races - and let me know how Napa is because I may do it next year :D

This is my first Ragnar! I'm so excited, but I'm terrified at the same time. In theory I have wanted to do it forever but didn't know if I could with my anxiety. Getting that stuff under control for real this time and hoping this is all just good timing for me to do something that challenges me. Gotta do some things for me now that I'm in my 30's!

OK, so if all three of us will be at RnR in San Jose ... I know it's gonna be busy but we need to do something that might signify us out to one another in case. Are you guys staying at a hotel or are you coming in locally?

Making this trip solo - my first to DL and my birthday weekend! Since staying on-site is not an option what are your favorite good neighbor hotels for race weekends? So far I'm torn between the BW Stoval, Hilton, Sheraton Park and Fairfield
