Forgive me if this has been asked (I actually tried to look through all the pages and don't think I saw it, but may have missed it somewhere)...

We're looking to go down for four nights (the rumored required stay) to attend a MVMCP in December, and were hoping to do the new Universal HP Christmas thing (if possible). That's two of our four nights. I'd like to do the Candlelight Processional (with dinner) as well, so that's a third night, but would be the first night on our 4-day ticket since the others are a hard ticket party/not Disney. We'd have 1 extra night that I can see us just spending touring the hotels at Christmastime and going to Disney Springs or something, OR going to a park. But we can't spend more than 4 nights because of my work and time off availability...

Long story short: If we get the PH tickets with the FD package, can I buy a single day ticket to Epcot instead of using the PHs and just keep those tickets on MDE (completely unused) to use for our next trip to Disney (probably sometimes in 2018, within a year of our December 2017 trip)? Or will they expire? I know they expire within 14 days of first use, but if we never use one of the days on them, how long can we hang onto them?

Ok, this just made me think of something. I always check the crowd calendars before I go and plan my days ahead of time, but what is the best way to check on the spot when you are in a crowded park and want to hop to a less crowded one?

I look at the wait times on MDE app.

I may be bumping over to POP if my CBR Plan A goes down in flames.

I just made an official plan with my TA of CBR, POP, Music. Hopefully it works out.

Still debating grabbing up POP with FD if it drops at 4am. Just worrying about how to transfer my payments over.

I'll be at pop starting the 5th.

I just called again this morning - still no luck. The CM was SO nice though, she put me on hold and checked with GS and everything - just told me to keep checking. I know you asked about RO earlier - haven't looked into that - to preoccupied with this! Haha! I've never done RO before.

Friend told me she booked FDP already. She's not the sort to make stuff up but, on other hand not a frequent flier either. Who knows what she booked KWIM?

If QS is offered at the mods I'm considering stepping down into a value and paying OOP for our TS instead of upgrading to DDP. I'm thinking the difference would be about $300 ($800 to upgrade to DDP or $1,100 to pay for our TS OOP) It kind of seems worth it to pay $300 to keep those extra QS meals. It would be 40 meals. Is anyone else thinking about this? Obviously $300 for 40 meals is a good value but will we really eat 2 QS, 2 snacks and a TS every day????

I would be extremely surprised if this was true. Usually they closensplash mountain in December or January. Hoping it's not true.

I just saw and was about to post! We have this weird tradition where I ride with the kids and hubby takes a slo-mo video of us coming down the mountain. (He won't ride any water rides). The kids get a huge kick out of it! It will be a bit sad to not have that this year, but I'll be excited to see what it looks like post renovation.
