Is the 5k medal actually made out of metal this year or is that plastic?

I wanted to run this race originally but used the "waking up at 330 for a plastic medal isn't worth $80" justification.

Now, I want it and am kicking myself for not earning it! I think it's probably the best of the 4 medals for the weekend. The Dr Strange medal is awesome, but this ... is classy.

I am so excited for the 5K medal!!!! It looks so awesome! I'm glad they chose one of the earlier incarnations of Captain America's shield. It totally works with the theme.

Well after seeing the 5k medal I broke down and went through a travel provider to sign up. It's my first time doing a runDisney 5k! Hopefully I can survive 3 early mornings in a row.
