"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Your shoes are amazing! I am still struggling as to whether or not I want to dress up… I'm leaning more towards wearing a Halloween themed shirt and maybe some halloween ears or something.

I see people are posting costume pictures :) I'm gonna throw mine in the mix please be kind it's my first time going non store bought
The shirt and shorts were hand made with some help and I substituted tights for my green skinny jeans just because 1 not sure I can pull off the tights look lol and 2 might be more durable?! Not sure lolimage.jpg
Anyways here it is also I felt the brown high tops make good boot like shoes!

I wish I could show off my costume! I need to get a move on my boyfriend's, but I just went to the hardware store to get the stuff for his shield and sword.

Another question though, I need to figure out shoes! I don't want to wear sneakers, but I suppose my feet will be hidden from my Sleeping Beauty gown. I wanted to dye some shoes but I still need to do my dress!

When we enter MK, how will it keep from taking a park day off our 'ticket' magic bands? I have our party tickets linked to the bands, but how will the system know i do not want to use one of my park days? Should we have them only scan the actual tickets for entry, not our magic bands?

First, you'll probably be in an entry sign that has signs for MNSSHP. You can double check with the CM manning the mickey head scanners that this will use your MNSSHP ticket. It most likely will. If for some reason it does not, it should be an easy thing to clear up at guest services ( I would hope).

Have we heard if the party only Memory Maker is going to be available again this year? Or what/where the Magic Shots might be? I'll be at the first party on the 15th, so I'm sure information will be a bit last minute...
If there was a party only Memory Maker available the past few years, they certainly didn't advertise it very well. Maybe we didn't know about it because we had regular Memory Maker anyway? The Magic Shorts are always the same: Hitchhiking Ghosts and haunted carriage by Haunted Mansion; cauldron in various locations (we saw themd doing it near the tea cups last year).

Anyone have a costume idea for my 7 year old? He's on the autism spectrum - ok with hats but the costume itself would be best if like regular clothes (I think I'd struggle to get him into any of the store bought ones because they are either bulky or a material he's not familiar with). We are going late September so it might still be hot too. And I'm totally about to lose my Disney card over this ... he's not into Disney characters at all. He loves Disney for the rides and the atmosphere but not really into the movies. So I'm actually trying to think of something non-Disney related.

We did a Gravity Falls theme in 2013, and only 3 people commented on our costumes. The show was still pretty new back then, so hopefully more people know about it this year. Here are our costumes...

Looks great!
They went trick or treating last year as Dipper as well, only a few knew who hey were. Hoping on Disney it is more recognizable.
Either way it is a easy and light costume.

My kids are going as Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls, easy to do and not too hot! Wonder how many will recognize who they are?
We saw quite a few Gravity Falls costumes at the 2 parties we went to last year. Definitely not a common costume, but some people at least will recognize it! I'd love to see somebody dressed up as Grunkle Stan.

Can someone give more information on the party-only memory maker. I know it hasn't been announced for this year, but I am wondering what was offered in previous years.

Clark kent with the shirt half open to show the superman shirt underneath. Could also do this with the hulk, wear a lab coat with tears and rips and green underneath.

Harry potter Hogwarts students. If a robe is too much then a white button down with the gryffindor tie and scar and glasses.

Disney bound mickey mouse, even if he doesn't like mickey. Just a black shirt and red shorts and yellow shoes.

Or he could really be any standard Halloween costume, ie vampire ghost and so on.

I have NEVER heard of this existing, but apparnetly it was offered as a test in 2014: http://blogmickey.com/2014/09/new-one-day-memory-maker-package-testing-magic-kingdom/

If it was only a test in 2014, I doubt it will be offered in 2015. I feel like they'd be selling it already.

If they offer this again, can ya'll post here? I would be interested in this. Going to Disney for only 4 days and spending October 9 at MK and then MNSSHP, so if we could only purchase that day, it would be worth the $39.

The only days we are doing Disney are the two parties we have purchased tickets for. Definitely not worth buying Memory Maker at full price for just us two adults at two MNSSHP's. That said, we were able to join a MM share for $24. If the one day party-only MM isn't offered again in 2015, a share might be a good option if you can accept the risks involved (for $24, it was well worth any risk for us).

Sorry, but what is the party only memory Maker? and are the Magic shots the pictures with ghosts?

-EDIT: Nevermind, found the information later in the thread.

Oh don't worry, someone will post here if it happens. I consider this thread the definitive mnsshp, the only places to have more info might be Kenny the pirate once character info comes out.
