I just registered so now I have to start training!
My mom went with me last year (2011) and was so inspired that now she is doing the 5k this year (2012). I am going to do it with her.
The problem I am encountering is that last year I had no idea what I was getting into so I was very excited every step of the way. This time I know what I will be going through ~all the highs and lows~ and I'm both dreading it and excited to see how I can improve. Last year I ran to finish - this year I want to set a time goal and accomplish it.
Anybody experiencing these same emotions?
Merci
PS. I added the necklace as well and am wondering what it looks like too.
I really want to do it faster than last year for sure...though i was running hurt, so it was great I could finish. I will wait to set a goal to see how my training goes. I think for the second time it will be like a new set of eyes as there was stuff I think I missed last year...though it will also be fun to kind of know what to expect!
I bought an Annual Pass this year so my park tickets are taken care of.

Last year I chose Aurora as my princess; this year going with Tiana for a different color bib! Desperately wish I could be signing up for the Tinkerbell, too - I have serious Tinkerbell AND Coast-to-coast envy! However, unless the found money fairy makes a serious deposit, I will be exclusively Princessing! I am SO excited! Last year, Julie & I agreed to "run our own race" and we split up into our own paces. This year, I am TOTALLY sticking with her. I had a great time running solo, but running with a friend in the Happiest Place on Earth has got to be a blast! There is a Half-marathon in Atlanta in March, so, barring any unforeseen injury, I might sign up for that to see what my "real" time would be. For me, the Princess is strictly for fun. (And it's easy for me to say that now that I have one under my belt!!)
My goal is to finish stronger than last year. I am not worrying about time until I see how my training goes.
