Official 2012 Princess 1/2 marathon thread part 2

I just emailed runDIsney and got the fastest response EVER! I am in Corrall B !!:banana::banana:

I am so excited! Now I know I have a good cushion if my knee is still bothering me, I can walk more than I had planned. Off to see the ortho again on Wednesday. I pretty much know what it is, just want to be able to do something more than NOT running to fix it. Less than 3 weeks to go Princesses!! princess::scared1:

Now I'm sad that RunDisney didn't give me my corral palcement. Maybe they haven't figured it out for the 'teams' yet? Or maybe she just didn't see part 2 of my question ;)

Wow, this thread has been very active in the past few days!

My bib number is 1520 and I submitted a 10k time of 56:33. That probably puts me in Corral B, I would think?

Anybody heard or seen about the waiver you sign for someone to pick up your race bib yet? I need to send mine across the country to my sister in law and hope to get and fill it out soon!

thanks

I am looking for this form too. I e-mailed runDisney, but the response I got was for the race waiver.

It is on the Run Disney website for the Princess Half. The official link to pick up your waiver/bib number is up now too as well as the official program.

Happy reading! princess:

Am I blind? I can find the link for the waiver, but not the Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form...

Hi everyone! Just got our bib# and confirmation that we are in corral C - I'm guessing that is good? What I wanted to ask is if any of you has ever gotten the race retreat pkg and was it worth the added expense? Would you do it again? We are trying to decide if we should get this pkg - it is our first time and we are staying off property if that makes any difference....thanks for your help!

I believe the Race Retreat is sold out.

Just printed my wavier and I have bib # 936!:cool1::cool1: Now I just pray my foot will heal- ran 5 miles Saturday and felt a sharp pain along the outside of my right foot- limped the last mile back to the start( where my car was) no swelling or bruising but still tender if I put any real pressure on it. I ran 15 miles last Saturday with no issues so this really has me bummed- even if I cant train from now till race day I will see you all there -I've trained too hard to give up now:thumbsup2

Today my family and I went out of town to shop and eat and whatever. So when we were shopping, we happened to go into a JoAnn Fabrics... I seriously should stay out of that store...

Long story short, I am going to work on ANOTHER outfit for the Princess, this time a Cinderella one...

This is really sad, I will be taking 3 outfits for 1 race :lmao: Tink, Jessie, and now Cindy!!!

LoL so how are you going to decide which to wear?

I have to stay away from JoAnn's too. I have bookcases full of fabric that I had a plan for when I bought it and just never made whatever I planned to make. :rolleyes1

I was working on my costume today. Here is a picture of my gold bracelets and necklace that will complete the Mayan Princess look that I'll be wearing. I'll be wearing it with a gold sparkle skirt and headband.

 Love it! The cuffs are a fun idea!

I ordered these to put on our shirts. I think it is really cute.

That's the one I was talking about!! You must have been the one who bought it. I had my eye on it to make my own "I did it" shirt.

Summer--- that costume is ADDDDOOORRRABLLLEEE! Can't wait to see the new one! Such talent.

Thanks Patty!! I started the new one last night. I am hoping to finish it by the weekend. I'm taking my time this time, a little bit each day.

A lady named Kara responded (quickly!) that we would be in the same corral but did not let me know which corral that would be. Oh well, I'm fully expecting to be in the last one anyway. Won't change my training strategy at this point!

When I emailed last year I got a reply from Kara too!

Hi Everyone, A question about family on the day of the race. My DH and parents are coming to cheer me on and we are staying at POR. Do they get on the bus with me at 3:30 or can they come later say 5 or 5:30 to see me off? What are your cheerleaders doing?

They can ride over with you, that is what my mom did last year. I would check the travel details because I know the buses stop running for awhile due to the road closures. I would hate for them to miss seeing you.

I actually wish they did have separate spectator buses since the buses were so crowded on race morning, but alas they don't.

Thanks Heather! I thought I was LOSING MY MIND!!! :rotfl:

I know the feeling. I found it once for marathon weekend when I was on a laptop that didn't have printer access. When I actually was ready to print the form I couldn't find it to save my life. It was horrible, I really thought I was crazy!:rotfl:

My bib number is 3400. I really thought I would be in C, so I am REALLY happy with B!

Yay! For some reason I feel like B is the best corral to be in!

And thank you...now I don't have to email them and ask, you've confirmed that I'm in B as well!

This might be getting to specific, but does anyone have any idea how many people are registered? I wonder if they went all the way up to 20,000 before they got to the teams or if there was an earlier cut-off for single runner numbers and then they 'skipped' to the 20,000+ number for the teams? I'm wondering how many people are in each corral...22,000/8 works out to 2750 per corral. Wait a second...if that's the case, could I possibly be in A? Nah...there have to be more than 178 teams in A.

Okay. I'm over thinking this. I'm going to go make a packing list!
