I need help!!!:confused3

My family has a trip planned to the world in Sept. My in-laws "might" be going with us. When I made our ADR's for Le Cellier I added the 2 of them to our table making it 6. Now they are not sure if they are going. They are suppose to let us know for sure Friday.

What should I do about our Le Cellier ADR's? Will they still seat us if there are 4 and not 6? Both my husband and I would be extremely upset if we don't get to eat at Le Cellier.

No problem---you can always take them off of the ADR. It's always easier to take away than to add people ;) For this reason, I wouldn't take them off the ressie until later, just in case they change their mind again about going on the trip.

I am so glad to hear that it should not be a problem.

We would hate not to be able to eat at one of our favorite restaurants....:cool1:

Two problems with that prediction.

It seems as though every other Public Free Dining offer for North Americans from 2005-07 had its starting day on a Sunday. Now, that doesn't mean anything in and of itself - but it's probably the most consistent thing about the past Free Dining offers - as opposed to other things like start and stop dates.

Second, without the DVC resorts, Disney has almost 20,000 rooms at any given time - notwithstanding refurbs and such. Even closing 10% would leave approximately 18,000.

The value resorts on thier own account for almost 8,500 of those rooms.

So, UK was not even allowed to book values, and the initial Bounceback Dining offer intended for guests staying IN September to come back NEXT September was extended to those staying for the first two weeks of October '07 as well.

So, with all that, plus (as some have pointed out in other threads) the 50 or 60 of us who have booked Values in advance hoping for Free Dining - the Values are definitely at capacity and Disney doesn't need to do anything to fill them in late August or September. I don't think so.

Even setting aside 5% of Value resort rooms for '08 Public free Dining frees up over 400 rooms.

I've been pretty confident that Free Dining was going to happen this year, even in the face of a number of people who doubted that it would happen. While not "official" - odds are looking pretty good that it will happen.

I'll remain confident that all resort levels will be eligible. I see no obvious reason to expect otherwise.

I just had to speak up on this... I have heard several people address that offers tend to start on Sundays.... up unto the point on one thread, someone had predicted from an apparent "insider" (I am just repeating what I read here, not making a statement) giving the date to begin as Aug. 23. Someone stated this did not seem plausible because Aug. 23 is a Saturday and Disney doesn't start promotions on Saturdays... BUT that got me to thinking... Aug. 30th ***The day bounceback starts, and many theorize could be the start day for public*** Aug. 30th is also a SATURDAY!

Sooooo I do find it plausible that it could start on a Saturday or a Monday or any other day.... however I do doubt it would start on a holiday such as Labor Day.

I know I asked you the same question on the other thread wanted to see which you answered first, but where did you come up with this from???????????:confused3 just curious.

If you have allergies tell the CM sitting you & the chef will come out to your table & talk to you on what you can & can't eat. Also you can tell them when making the ADR's. Everytime I tell the dining ADR's people they tell me that the chef will come out & they make a note of it. All offer the phone number to resturants if you want to talk to a chef before you come. They do work with you. I know as I have many allergies to certains foods & what they put in them when cooking. Never had a problem when eating at Disney.

Dates are historically less than bounceback. Dates taken away fron front or back end ...........There are currently mailed codes for discounts for August and September.
Others have posted that they were told along with my neighbor twice, if offered it would be moderates and up.
Yes it still might not be offered as it was known rumor wise lasy year with ALL info by 3/16. Each day with no news IMO is not good.
Someone should have leaked the dates by now. This year is no different than others, we have always known by now !!
Yes I was only making a prediction from the way I see it at present.........

Did you call Disney to see if there was one attached to your household? If not just call and ask if there is one attached to your name or address. Pixie dust for you. I hope the answer is yes. pixiedust:

Nope... I need MORE PIXIE DUST pixiedust:

I have called like twice a week, ordered the planning DVD, went to the WDW website over and over and over again to check. Oh well... I need a :grouphug:

Bounceback Free Dining has happened only once where we then have PUBLIC Free Dining dates to compare. In that case, Public was shortened both front and back - started later, ended earlier. That one (had to be used in Aug-Sep '07, was likely longer because people had to book it while being onsite in Nov-Dec '06. That means you would be back to Disney within 8-10 months - a quick turnaround for a lot of people. Sure, it's great for those who can drive to disney in only a few hours, but I can't imagine that it was a realistic option for the majority of people onsite at the time.

Additionally, since there is only one historical instance to assume that Public Free Dining will be shorter than bounceback, we could instead say...

WOW, look at how long the Bounceback Free Dining was in '07, and how short Public Free Dining was that same year. Now, look at '08, Bounceback Free Dining is really short, maybe that means they're planning on making the PUBLIC Free Dining really long this year.

Again, all guesses and speculation - but at least its optimistic.

In response to your statement - "There are currently mailed codes for discounts for August and September"

Great, but those aren't PUBLICLY available. Given the numbers of happy vs. disappointed on the boards about getting the elusive 40%, or even 30% - I would not classify this as a widely available public offer. The DIS is also filled with people who have stated that they (or someone they know) got a code and it can't be used because the dates don't work.

In terms of what people have been told by CM's - again, how much weight those statements can be given is questionable. For every person hearing that it's mods and up (or someone who said Deluxe only), there are people like me who have been told by CM's that there is buzz about Free Dining, and when asked about upgrading my VALUE ressie hear that there shouldn't be a problem with that. I asked - what about the UK being limited to mods and up - and heard from the CM - "that was for them, Disney marketing decides what is to be offered to each group at each time - most public offers are open to all resorts, we just don't know for sure yet"

Admittedly, most info was out last year by now. I'm hoping that info will start to trickle out this week, and was only delayed this year due to Easter being where it was.

And, when Disney wants to, they can control information. Consider the 40% fiasco of last year compared to the virtual impossibility of scamming a 40% code this year.

Maybe they want to keep this info under wraps - perhaps they simply haven't firmly decided on the dates quite yet.

I'll expect the best on this until given clear evidence to the contrary.

Well said Esdras.

I believe, like you, that Disney wishes to extend the most possible choices to the general American public which is why they may have limited the choices in the other venues. Last year, UK and bounceback got the best deals time wise. This year they may have modified it to suit the general American public. I'll keep the hope alive for mid August and all of September to all Resorts. They do read the boards I believe. I'm also hoping that they change so that we can choose between appy's and desert and gratuities will be included again. JMHO. :flower3:

I second that - I would love it if you could have your choice! There's only so much chocolate cake you can eat

Goto disney.com and register and then have a dvd mailed to you! Odds are good you may get one!
Yep! I got my DVD a week ago, and I got a code email today! The email said 20% off, but when I called to book, the discount turned out to be 30% off! :cool1:
