Offical free dining watch 2008

Does anyone know how FDDP would work if we opt for the deluxe dining plan?

For bounceback, you had to pay the difference between the regular DDP ($37.99?) and the DXDDP ($69.99?), which is around $32--a fantastic deal for all those signature restaurants!

Hoping for free dining the last week of Aug. Already booked Pop at 40% off:banana: ....We will go that week regardless...but still hoping for free dining:thumbsup2

I have already booked the trip for the end of August at 40%... if they announce the FDDP for that time do I still get the 40% off or is it one or the other???

If not then I'll have to figure out which way I save more... 40% off 9 people, 3 rooms at Pop Century or the dinning plan 11 days. I'd have to figure it would be the dinning plan but anyone got some advice.

Thanks.

I's one or the other. Can't use both. I would say staing at Pop, with 9 people you would do better with free dining. You will be only saving about 30~40 a day per room with the 40% off (depending on if it is preferred or not) and with dining you will about that much per person. Better for free dining at a value usually!

what restaurants would you recommend??? We are a family of 9 which includes 3 kids. The brown derby is pretty much out but what else would you say besides:

CRYSTAL PALACE & LIBERTY TREE TAVERN...

Anyone know about the steak house in Canada???

All recommendations are welcomed.

You are referring to Le Cellier. It is wonderful! I highly recommend it!

LeCellier is the steakhouse in Canada and it's FABULOUS!!:goodvibes
I would also suggest Teppan Edo and Coral Reef in Epcot.

Does anyone think someone on the board may be able to "leak" the free dining dates if that's what the promotion is before April 10th? I am sooo keeping fingers crossed for free dining!!! :cheer2:

I don't know ? Its not looking that way....
Last year everything was known and posted as a rumor on 3/16:confused3

Subbing--would love to have free dining for Sept again this year. Didn't book the bounceback b/c we thought DD10 would be in middle school and we wouldn't be able to pull her out of school. Now, we're homeschooling her, and would love to take her to homeschool days with free dining!

When are these being held? And are there specific events planned for parks? I have never heard of this before and have friends who homeschool that might be interested. I am also holding out hope for free dining for our September trip too!

I'm right there with ya! I have 30% off for the same exact week as you! And I'm hoping for free dining! I think it is still possible! We'll wait n see! Maybe it is Disney's best kept promo this year? :goodvibes OH! And we'l be at POP too!!

We'll be there the same week, the last week in August & into September. We also have the 30% discount but are waiting for free dining. It is always a better deal for us because we purchased the dining with the discount. There is about a $300 difference between the savings in the two discounts for us. :thumbsup2 . We'll be at AKL but will be more than happy to bounce over to POP if anyone is planning a meet.

Maybe this will be the week we start seeing some dates. Believe me, the people who know before us, probably already know, but can't release the info yet.

I'm not sure of the exact dates, yet (somewhere around the 15th :confused3 ) . Disney hasn't updated their website with the September dates. I know of at least 2 other groups that are sponsoring their own homeschool days, too--a group from the Carolinas and a group from Texas. Look on the Community Board for the Homeschool group--there are links on there (I'm not sure if I can figure out how to find and post them).

Thanks for the information! I will pass it along. :)
