I am back and I can't believe nobody has posted for 2 weeks. Had a great vacation. I really think I will have to add a week at WDW before this cruise. Loved the new Nemo show. Can't imagine going on a Disney cruise and not spending time at the parks. Wonder what our countdown is now.

I just finished booking my cruise this morning!!! We used Disney Vacation Club points!! I'm so excited! We went on the Western Caribbean Cruise April 21-28, 2007. Looking forward to going again!!! Only 529 more days!!! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2

It has been really quite ... Sunds like you had a good vaction. I like the Nemo the musical but still really miss Tarzan ROCKS.
graysm
:welcome:

yes michelle9343, I miss Tarzan Rocks too. It was my favorite show and I was sad to see it end. Miss the skaters and the music. Nemo is good and I enjoyed it but not the same.
graysm, glad to see another DVC member. Never have points to use for the cruise because we are always borrowing for our next trip. What did you like the best on your last cruise?

The April trip was our first cruise. So it was exciting to be able to go to different ports. My favorite was Cozumel! We swam with the dolphins. On the last cruise I took DS (12), DD (17) and friend of DD (17) as a graduation gift. The October trip will be just me and DS. I loved the shows on the ship. Very high quality!!! Amazing! How many cruises have you been on?

I am back and I can't believe nobody has posted for 2 weeks. Had a great vacation. . .
Just got back last night (two weeks in Europe). Glad to hear you had a great vacation.

Woody

Wow woody73 that must have been a fantastic trip. Where did you go and what did you see? I don't think I will ever get to Europe. I hate flying. It is all I can do to get through 2 hours when we go to Fl.

graysm, We have only been on 1 Disney cruise and it was the western one. The shows were good, the ship nice but the best part for me was CC. I can't wait to go there again. It was so relaxing at the adult beach. We went alone and it was great to get away from all the kids on the ship (yes I expected alot of kids there and I have to say most were very well behaved). We have been on 2 RCCL, eastern cruises. Their ships are fantastic and geared more toward adults. Did not see many kids on them. In sept. we are doing a 9 day Alaska cruise. Have to fly to Vancouver. The best part of it is we must change planes twice so we aren't on them for long stretches.:)

Hi, We have finally booked this cruise-Seems such long way off though!
Only cruised once b4, on The Wonder 3 night Feb '07 so this next one is going to be SO good-Can't wait for CC, I adored it last trip!
Nothing else booked as yet as too early to book flights from UK but all in good time!
We will have a week either before or after the cruise to do Orlando again-My dh & eldest son want to do something for Halloween as we've not been in October b4 & I hear you Americans do Halloween big time!!
Wonder if they will have a Halloween party on board?
I'm sure to chat more, there is plenty of time to get to know you all!
Bye for Now, Sally xx:yay:

Hi All! We just got kicked off the Magic this past weekend:rotfl2: If I could have only found some place to hide I could be on my way to the Med right now. I was sizing up the slide in the Kids Club. Surely there had to be a good place somewhere to hide:lmao:

Ok, I'll get on with the show...

We are:
Me 32 (I'm not putting that other digit up there as my birthday is not until March!)
dh (see it's ok to say that he will be 32 at the time of the cruise)
dd 10
ds 5

From the wonderful state of Kentucky!

I haven't seen any info on what they do for Halloween. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I also suffer from obsessive vacation over-planning syndrome, so you will hearing a lot from me. I'll never know why or how my dh puts up with me. :confused3

Welcome aboard rylisal :wave2: ,
Glad to see there will be some fellow 'brits' on board!! This will be our first ever cruise so don't really know what to expect, but we're all far too excited already     Can't believe there's still a whole 17 months to wait...& we can't even book our flights 'till November
We are going to spend a couple of days at a Universal hotel just prior to the cruise as we've always wanted to go to the 'Horror Nights'. Our 2 girls will be 14 & 17 by then, so they should be old enough to attend without being completely freaked out.....not sure about me though :scared1: !!! Like you we still haven't decided whether to do Disney before or after the cruise......heck, lets just do both & be done with it :teeth:

See you onboard!!

Helen

HelenSB, which universal hotel will you stay at. We just got back from there and stayed at portofino. It is my favorite one. My son loves Hard Rock but I must be getting old because the blaring music gets on my nerves after a while. I have been there for horror nights and it is so way different from Mickey's holloween party. Pretty intense but fun.

Hi shrpgrl,
We stayed at the HRH for 4 hights last August. We had 2 teens & 2 'almost' teens with us & we all really loved it. We stayed on Club level & even got an impromptu tour of the Graceland suite late one evening. My teenaged daughter managed to sweet talk one of the club concierge guys into showing us around & he even let her play the grand piano in there. It was the highlight of her trip :cool1: !! Since staying onsite we have become a little spoilt as the FOTL passes were definately well worth the extra $$'s. I wish Disney would do the same! This trip we are planning to try out the RPR Club level as I have been told that their food offerings are much better.
As for the horror nights, did you all enjoy it?? We have been looking at some 'home movies' of last years HHN on Play.com, & I now have visions of all of us touring the whole park huddled together in fear :scared: , & not wanting to go to sleep afterwards !!!

After so many, many years of begging -- we'll be hopping aboard and joining you all on this cruise!!!!!!!!

First we're headed on a 3-day to the Bahamas on Sept 6-9 2007, and we'll be booking on board for this cruise (actually rebooking, as anal me will need those to be on hold well before Sept!).

Foxworthy Family Cast Members
(Ages at time of Cruise)
ME -- 32 (OLDDDDD)
DH -- 32 (also, kinda old)
DS#1 -- 7 (you know, him too with the old)
DS#2 -- 5 (and a Kindergartener!!)
DD#1 -- 4 (will have just turned)

I'm ridiculously excited and will clearly over plan. I'm already looking at custom made outfits for the princess. I may never leave the computer again. :surfweb:

Now, off to create tickers and siggys, Oh MY! :)

HELEN, Thanks for the welcome!
So are we the only Brits we know of so far?
We were on The Wonder 3 nighter in Feb & there wasn't many of us then either!
The Disney cruises are so good, you will love it & probably be hooked like us!!
Plenty of time to get to know you............!!
Who you hoping to fly with? We need to keep the flights as cheap as poss so I'm hoping for a bargain, keep looking but too early yet really!:coffee:

HelenSB I liked halloween horror nights but then I like scary things. My DH did not like all the haunted houses and the creatures that come out of the fog at you. I doubt that I will ever be able to talk DH into going again. We have done MNSSHP many times and it was more his type party.
Glad to see more people joining us. Need another countdown. I am glad I got another weekend out of the way. I think I work so I can afford the vacations:cool2:

My tickers and siggys are done! Now, all I have to do is count down to the first cruise, and then to the second. Oh, and work. A lot. To pay for said cruises.

I can't stop being so excited. It's going to be a looooooong wait!!:rotfl: :rolleyes1

I'm trying really hard to convince my db and dsil to join us. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Can someone change our title to Halloween On the High Seas 2008? Since we're so far away we tend to get buried and that would make us easier to find. That is what we're calling ourselves, I think thats what I read :confused3
