nothing bad if i will hve enough money and points lol and if my husbend will be abel to get time off for halloween cruise and then the new years one lol

After a few weeks of keeping our Cruise booking a BIG secret , I finally spilt the beans last Friday night!!(After a few drinks I add!!LOL)
My Dh is now very excited too although still worried ( as usual!) about the money!!
Not told DS1 yet as its such a long way off & we want it to be a surprise as he thinks we cant go on holiday for a couple years at least!!

So, now its work....work...work...to pay for it all...But its SO worth it!!:thumbsup2

We went on Thursday and applied for our passports. With any luck the state dept. will get them to me in time for our cruise. :rotfl2:

Also, I learned a lesson on our 1st cruise...I overpack and it looks really bad when you show up with 8 pieces of luggage AND 3 carry-ons for 4 people. So next time, I will downsize and not pack nearly as much. But I also went this week and bought a 29" 360 degree piece of luggage. Surely this will help me to not look like I'm the sole reason that they need extra fuel. :rotfl:

I bought both kids the luggage sets with their names on them from disney shopping . com and they will get them for Christmas.

I also learned that I will not pack any of my own liquor. I only took 2 bottles, but I don't drink alot and when I do I want a pina colada or a mudslide. So my carryon will only contain impt. documents and swim suits. I'll take my chances with luggage showing up on time.

Can we go now?

Does anyone have the cd with mixed with great cruise songs?

Have a great weekend!

im just so excited..im almost ready to cancel my triop to cali and just fly to florda in stead lol and go in jan in dstead of to cali in nov..lol

I joke you not...We did not leave Port Canaveral until 6 because they were still getting fuel.

They must have seen what all I was bringing. Maybe next time they will be more prepared for me. :rotfl2:

lol now thats funny. Im going on cruise next newyears and got rember dont over pack

Yes, definitely don't overpack.

I forgot where I read this advice, but I should have listened. They said to pack your clothes and take out half. Then pack your sunscreen and double that.

Well I ended up with too many clothes and a bad sunburn. :lmao:

The real reason I got my sunburn is because I'm stupid. I had been going to the tanning bed for months and was dark, so I didn't put on sunscreen at Paradise Beach. Duh...what was I thinking? :confused3 That sun down there is harsh and shows no mercy. Unfortunately, the next sea day I didn't go out at all and we did the Rasul that morning. Dh and I were hurting when putting the products anywhere near the burn areas on our shoulders.

Anyone know what kind of water temps to expect in Oct? Like are they bathwater warm, artic cold, tolerable for small amounts of time, just fine...you get the point.

Thanks, Karen

i think i can get by with two pares shorts two skirts (easy to roll up) and pare jeans..and lots of shirts..i usely wear mix match cloth all the time. diffrent shorts same shirt, diffrent shirt same shorts..

We had a 3 day booked for this October but we just rebooked it for the Double Dip in 08!

I didn't even know it was a Double Dip. I called looking to book for Oct. 4th western and at the last minute asked which was the cheapest cruise for October for cat 4's and it was the Double Dip. The CM didn't even mention it to me. I found out when I found this thread!

It will be me, DH, my 2 daughters and my son. Also my parents will be joining us. We have connecting Cat 4's.

My sister may join us with her husband and 2 daughters. We should know in a few weeks.

My daughter will be 10 days shy of her 7 b'day on the last day of the cruise. I will most likely celebrate it on the cruise. My other daughter will be 5, and my son will be 2 years. I hope he's potty trained and can move up to the club from Flounders. He'll be a few months shy of 3.

This is our second cruise. We went on a 4 day in April. We had 2 cat 10's and upgraded at port to a cat 3. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could! We looked into a cat 2 for the 7 of us but it was just too much.

I have been on a Disney cruise in October, the water is just GREAT! DH and DD stayed on water all day at Castway. Can't wait, Can't wait.......

I too pack alot of mix and match. The first cruise I went on we did one suitcase, one carry-on each and a garment bag. Still was alot of clothes we never wore. This time I will try to get it down to 2 suitcases and a carry-on. We aren't much for dressing up so I think we will skip the formal wear and just bring a dressy outfit each. Last cruise I took one black dress and had several different wraps and got by ok.
Another weekend down for me.Can't wait to sit on the beach and relax. Wonder where we are on the count down. Just got off work and kind of brain dead.

I believe I have all the information up to post #254 (which I am assuming is this post).

Thanks! Keep your Disney Dreams Alive!

Thanks!

Did you guys see the thread about trinkets for the Dis meet on board? There were lots of good ideas there - is that something we would try to do? :confused3 Even though this is our second cruise, it's our first time participating in the Cruise Meets thread, so I don't really know what to expect from participating - other than hopefully having some friends made before we even board! I know I'm really looking forward to the group brunch at Palo! :cool1:

What seating does everyone have for dinner? We wanted second this trip. I think second will be better for us since there are just DH and I. Last trip we had first. Felt like not enough time to relax between tours and supper. This way we can get a nap in. That will be especially good on CC days when the stress of napping on the beach is too much.

Last cruise we had 2nd seating and loved it. We've signed up for 2nd seating again for this cruise. No rushing to get back on the boat...nice and relaxing.

I believe we have second seating as well.

Last cruise(4 day) we had second seating and I did not mind it although my kids were exhausted.

We usually fed them before dinner and if they knew they could go to the clubs whenever they wanted.

The first night they were at the club fot the whole meal. I think every meal after that my 3 year feel asleep at the table in my arms.

We're first seating. Usually eat around 5-5:30 at home, and go to bed before 10pm. I don't think our full tummies would tolerate rocking.
